Hello all, and welcome back to "Victoria Gets A Reminder Of Why She Really Really Hates Her Job!" Seriously, first Monday back at the office, and already:

-->I didn't get the link to the little self-check I have to do each day before actually going into the building -- and when I called my boss to ask where it was, he didn't know either. He had to get it from HIS boss, and then forward it onto me, meaning I left later than I wanted (though, fortunately, traffic was light enough I still made it to work on time)

-->I couldn't remember the password to get into my old computer for a bit -- fortunately I managed to stumble back upon it in my notebook and highlighted it

-->Started trying to catch up on some of the processing I couldn't do at home; promptly got yanked into doing GL work by Fiscal

-->Promptly found a lovely little glitch in Give Central and got another call from the lady at Fiscal asking me to ask them about other discrepancies she'd noticed. . .and essentially refusing to respond to the e-mail herself to ask, when she would KNOW HOW TO PHRASE IT BETTER *grrrrr*

-->GL turned out to be much more complicated than first thought (big batches, not all of which were created and committed the same day). . .and then I realized I COULDN'T do it my usual way because, well, we haven't been doing them the usual way for a month and doing it the usual way kind of DEPENDS on doing it daily -- need to work on solution for that on Wednesday

-->Also my boss sent me home with paper copies of scanned checks they'd deposited earlier so I could finish up looking up the numbers and making the batches at home (today and tomorrow); naturally I did not like bringing this into my house, even if they're probably been lying around long enough there's no actual danger (I have used lots of hand sanitizer anyway)

-->Basically it was unnecessarily stressful and I hated it >.< I admit, this is probably at least partially because I got used to a schedule where I only had to do office stuff one day a week, and I'm not adjusting well to going back to more traditional hours, but even so. I really wish it had been a little less -- guh. At least I got all the GL paperwork down to Fiscal that I could. And completed the CCA portion of my "homework" this afternoon. And figured out how to report that I'm back to proper work to UI (involves a form they sent me; see about getting that in the mail tomorrow or Wednesday).

Naturally, I did not have a lot of free time to do YouTube or anything like that -- though I did get a few things accomplished:

-->Got most of my Newcrest Adventures update sorted right after work -- two parts of the update fully completed, one with pictures in the right order and captions, and one with just the pictures and a "starter" sentence. So that's good -- I can just finish that up tomorrow afternoon and be good to go for Wednesday.

-->Did the second draft of my first gift fic for the end of this week, so that's good to go, yay~

-->Caught up on Atop the Fourth Wall's episode from last week -- the comic book adaptation of The Phantom Menace! Good adaptation, but unfortunately that has it mimicking some of the movie's flaws. It was cool to see Linkara go over and critique it all -- and suggest ways it could have been done better. As someone who has made overlong posts about how she'd fix things in the proposed prequel to some of her favorite video games, this speaks to me. :p Also slipped in one Fluffy Ninja Llama video on companion reactions to finding a power source for Liberty Prime (ranges from "I don't trust the Brotherhood to use Prime for only good" to "YAY BIG ROBOT" XD).

-->And now that I've caught up on all my tags and answered a question for an ask meme I reblogged last Friday, it's time to answer the last thing in my inbox and head to bed. Gotta get my batches sorted tomorrow -- and hopefully find some time to catch up on other stuff too. We'll see how it all goes. At least I don't have to brave a commute! Night all!
