Wasn't exactly easy -- it was a stressful day just getting on as many checks as I could, and taking a LOT of phone calls from Fiscal about certain online things; plus sanitizing all the things again (my poor hands are SO dried out) -- but I made it. In-office work is officially not a thing until next Tuesday, and I only have to remotely work on Friday! Back to enjoying sweet, sweet freedom. . . I mean, getting furloughed because of a global pandemic is not great, not by a long shot, but I didn't exactly mind more free time to watch YouTube and chill out.
So yeah! Busy day at work, kind of a crappy ride home (accident right before my exit off the highway), and then:
-->Caught up on tumblrs and such, and watched a video from a guy gushing about another Fallout 4 mod that is basically gonna serve as a DLC that takes the game to a whole new place. . .in this case, England! Yes, Fallout London is apparently a thing, and is being worked on even now in 2020. I am intrigued, much as I was intrigued by the Fallout Miami mod. I do hope both come to fruition -- they sound like ambitious projects, and I want to see them hit the finish line! Maybe even play them one day, if I ever properly figure out adding mods in this damn game. XD
-->Did my laps, since it was a decently nice day and I might as well get my fresh air where I can. I do miss taking longer walks around the block, but I get so anxious about the idea of accidentally bumping into people. . .also, after wearing my mask all day at work, I'm pretty much done with it by the time I get home. Just easier to stick to the yard where I can breathe easy in both the literal and metaphorical sense.
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has reluctantly used the elevator to get back to the upper levels of the hotel (she fully expected it to go "splat" with her in it -- not quite, Alice), and attempted to knife a painting threatening to throw itself at her, with -- less than optimal results. (Namely, it broke apart and hit her anyway.) She's currently going toward the next newspaper "memory," on her way up to find that pendant that will help free the wife's ghost (have I mentioned yet I named her Dorothy? Because I did -- poor woman has no canon name!). Fun fact: I'm officially up to page 88 in the doc! So that's kinda cool. Even if it serves as a great illustration about how long this is going to take, as I'm still technically in Chapter Three. . .
-->Plumbella marathon on YouTube!
A) The next LEGO Harry Potter stream highlights vid with her and RTGame -- Goblet of Fire this time! Partly played in "disguise mode" as RT enabled some fun Easter eggs and cheats that put all the characters into Groucho glasses (with fake noses and mustaches) and turned their wands into carrots. Got reset midway through, but it was fun while it lasted! As usual, completing the tasks was second to causing chaos. And oh man, the way LEGO Harry Potter handles Cedric's death scene. . .well, let's just say they're VERY AWARE they're LEGO. XD
B) Another round with Bratz -- Plumbella made some terrible posters for the fashion show; dressed two of her Bratz up as sexy witches and then drew all over their "guest team member" Mandy's face (she was going for a look she called "sea at sunset" XD); got flustered when talking to resident hottie Dillon XD; and lost the ability to trust when Mandy ditched the Bratz for a high-paying executive position elsewhere. Usual nonsense from this game, then! XD
C) A quick theory video in which she looked at a recent render the Sims team posted on Instagram showing a baby that was something more than a "mere object" and hoping desperately that this means babies are getting revamped in the game. I don't know if this is true, but one can hope -- I would at least like to be able to take the baby WITH me around the house, instead of always having it tied to the bassinet. Meh.
D) Another building challenge video -- a house, but each room has to be a different color (this includes the outside). Plumbella used a randomizer, and had -- mixed results. She lucked out in some places (a green outside that allowed for lots of plant life; a blue living room that came out pretty cute), and struggled in others (a pink kitchen that was maybe a little too "Barbie;" and an orange bathroom that -- had a LOT going on XD). But it all came together in the end! More or less! It was fun, and that's really all that matters.
E) And to wrap things up, a look at the recent Paralives character creator reveal trailer! Plumbella actually got this early from the lead designer (who is a self-stated fan), but was only allowed to show it yesterday. It looks surprisingly good -- there's a color wheel confirmed for hair, at least, and you can color separate sections of it. And adjusting the Parafolk is about the same as adjusting Sims in Sims 4 -- just click and drag on their bodies! Only even more so, because Parafolk also come with a height slider! Isn't THAT a trip! I'm still cautious about expecting too much out of a game being developed by only four people, but it's -- well, it's impressive, isn't it? :)
-->Got my Victor Luvs Alice queue sorted straight through the first half of Sunday -- I decided my Thursday post would be letting the peeps on tumblr know my "Londerland Bloodlines" progress, and I had an OTP meme ready to go for Friday. And deciding on my Song Saturday was pretty simple too -- all worked out pretty nicely! And it feels good to be ahead of the game there again. :)
And now I'm just finishing up here and preparing to answer what's in my inbox! Rather tired, so I probably won't stay up TOO late, but I'm definitely taking advantage of tomorrow being an Official Day Off to let my bedtime slip a bit and wake up a little later tomorrow. :P Bed by 1 and up around 9 sounds about good. . . Tomorrow -- definitely doing a little more cautious mod adding, and watching some silly Fallout 4-themed videos. Sounds like a good plan, right? I think so anyway. . . Night all!
