Surprise Dentist Appointment Monday

crossover_chickNot that I had to go to the dentist today, mind -- but I do have to go on Friday. I'd managed to half-forget about it (in that I was aware it was coming up, but wasn't sure of the exact date or even if it would happen), but the office called me up today to confirm the appointment (a cleaning at 11 AM). So it looks like I have to take a personal day this Friday -- which, well, I have enough time, it shouldn't be an issue. Though it would have helped if my direct supervisor was in the office (he stayed home because of a migraine). . . Well, I've got the form filled out, and I've checked with my other coworker and he thinks it's all right, so we'll see what happens. Just trying not to be too anxious about it. . .
Day was pretty okay otherwise:
-->Work was pretty quiet, happily, and I got a fair bit done, including conquering a check that was giving me trouble and working through a bunch of returned exceptions. Slowly but surely catching up on everything that needs to be done.
-->Day was nice -- warm and dry, though the humidity's supposed to start coming back midweek. At any rate, this is the kind of weather I love (except for the pollen -- I swear, you open your windows, and then you look at your screen in the right light and everything's covered in yellow dust), so I'm happy to have it!
-->We played another round of the beanbag game when I got home -- I came in second every time, and the first game was close. At one point, we were all tied at 19! Mom actually won that one, and then Dad won the second two. :) It's fun, and it's good to get some fresh air.
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" when I got home -- we're out of the Ocean House hotel! :D Alice got what she came for and skedaddled as Dorothy bid. I'm doing one final scene with her having read Dorothy's diary (edited slightly so it looks more like something someone would actually write) and really feeling for the poor woman, and then it'll be on to Chapter 4! Time for more fun with Jeannette, and to finally knock out a few of these side quests!
-->FINALLY got around to watching a couple of my OXBox/OXtra videos -- 7 awkward encounters with your exes in video games (apparently Peter in the PS4 Spider-Man game has to deal with both MJ AND Black Cat; also Booker's weird relationship with Lady Comstock made the list), and 7 starter weapons that were so awesome that they were the best weapons in the game (Dead Space's Plasma cutter, anyone?). Also managed to fit in another NPC Wars video on Fallout 4 -- 100 Gen1 Synths against a Brotherhood of Steel battalion! The BoS won the first two rounds, but the Synths managed to grab a win in the third. Fun stuff. :)
-->Set up a Wednesday tumblr update talking about a Super Sim conundrum I've been pondering, because I haven't gotten all the pictures for Eric's next update ready yet and I'm feeling a bit awkward putting it up anyway (because, well, he's a cop, the latest catastrophe involves horrible corrupt cops, sooo. . .). So going for something different this week!
And now I have to finish answering comments and head off to bed -- work tomorrow! Hoping I don't end up waking up at 5:30 again like I did this morning -- managed to get back to sleep, but it was the kind of sleep where you're always waking up a little to check the clock. Ugh. . . Fingers crossed. Night all!
