Rather Low-Key Saturday
Jun. 13th, 2020 11:17 pm-->Woke up around 8:45 needing to go to the bathroom, then went back to bed and got up properly closer to 10:30 AM. Screwed around on TV Tropes for a while while drinking my smoothie, then spent the rest of the morning and about an hour after lunch cleaning my room. LOTS of pollen to dust off/Swiffer off/vacuum up, that's for darn sure! So glad this is supposed to be the last bad week of it. . .
-->Dad's doing okay so far -- he slept for a couple of hours before lunch on the couch, but he was up and about for the rest of the day. Medication doing its job. He's not 100%, but at least he's not 0%!
-->We played the beanbag game around three -- I had a terrible first game, but managed to improve over the next two and win the third game! :D Mom ended up winning the first game, while Dad won the second. So that was fun. Our "beanbags" are splitting open again, though -- Mom's talking about redoing them and filling them with sand instead of the rocks (fake and real) that are currently in them. I'm for this plan, as it means we should have bags that all weigh the same! Some being heavier or lighter does throw you off sometimes.
-->Ended up doing more Fallout 4 mod testing, of a sort -- put in a mod to fix some things that you can build after doing the Vault 88 stuff, and -- well, that requires me to do the Vault 88 quests! I've found the Vault itself (after killing a bunch of raiders who set up camp outside and glugging down Rad-Away to keep from getting too irradiated) and am currently in the process of clearing out the ghouls and rubble to actually reach the old Overseer. Unfortunately, the game was acting a little wonky -- I didn't have the texture pop-in problem again, but I DID have a lot of lag. Loading screens took longer, my character needed a couple of seconds to switch between guns (not good in firefights!), and there were minor freezes and stutters walking around. Again, though, I'm not sure if the mod itself is to blame, or my computer -- it HAS been a little slow lately, ugh. [glares at it] If you could maybe hold on for just a bit longer, please. . .
-->Finally got that rough draft sorted for the gift fic! Friend likes Pirates of the Caribbean, so I did something based on that (specifically, the fourth movie, since we both like the subplot between Philip and Syrena). So that's good.
-->Also good -- knocking out a few OXBox and OXtra videos! Two videos on Easter Eggs (one on subtle ones in games you feel clever for figuring out, and one specifically about hidden references and such in Animal Crossing: New Horizons -- though the "subtle Eggs" list actually started out with the same Easter Egg the "New Horizons Eggs" list ended with XD A special piece of music by one of Nintendo's regular composers that he tries to slip into most of the games he works on, by the by), and one on weird minigames (everyone in the comments was fixated on the weird "telephone club minigame" from Yazuka 0 and saying that the entire game could probably qualify for the list; me, I was distracted by the fact there's a weird massage minigame in Final Fantasy X-2). Still have a few others to watch, but maybe I can catch up on those tomorrow.
-->And now I'm catching up on tumblr tags and whatnot -- gotta get my Victor Luvs Alice queue sorted for tomorrow (and the next few days after that), take care of any RPing that happens, and then hit the sheets. Tomorrow, the idea is to do Sims stuff -- or at least catch up on my James Turner! May also have to help Mom with a quick grocery run (we need water, and Mom wants to pick up spinach for spinach pies -- she's planning on me driving while she actually gets the items, though, so I wouldn't have to get out of the car). We'll see how it all goes! Night all!
