Well, I went to my first two classes this morning. Got up at 8:15 so I'd be ready and awake to go and do what I had to do. Also allowed me to get some fan fiction writing done on "Fire and Rain." :)
My first class was "Forms of College Writing," which is inexplicably in the Engineering Hall. That was pretty simple -- we all introduced ourselves (well, we split up into pairs and introduced each other), and we got our syllabus -- description of the course and what we'll be doing during said course. We also got some homework -- read certain chapters in two of our textbooks and respond to a question in one.
-D: *firmly* Is that all done?-
*grin**nod* Yup. I did the first reading in the Library (where I also ate lunch, as it was the closest place I could kill the hour between my classes), then I finished up at home before I went online. Scout's Honor, Doc.
-D: *grin* Glad to hear it.-
Then, I killed an hour in the Library (as I mentioned) and then headed to my Social Philosophy class. An interesting little tidbit -- me, two other students, and the professor actually got a little lost and couldn't find the classroom. Luckily it was before class started, but. . . .
-M: *snrrk*-
-VM: That's funny.-
Yeah, I thought so. Anyway, we did the "pair off and introduce each other" thing with an excercise -- the Prisoner's Dilemma. Basically, you and your partner are suspected of robbing a bank, and the DA's trying to cut a deal with each of you separately. You can stay silent or confess. If you confess and your partner stays silent, you go free and he gets 10 years. If you stay silent and he confesses, you get the 10 years and he goes free. If you both confess, you both get a reduced sentence of five years. If you both stay silent, you both only go to prison for one year on a gun-related charge. My partner and I ratted each other out. *blush*
-VD: Not very trusting, are we?-
*sticks out tongue at* Anyway, we got our syllabus and a reading -- Plato's Crito. We're having a quiz on it next week. Don't worry, Doc, I don't intend to screw up. :)
-D: Not saying you would. Just keep on the ball.-
Do my best. Anyway, gotta go now -- my next class, US Lit 1, starts at 7 and doesn't end until 9:45. *bleah* At least I have tomorrow off.
-VM: Did you send out the chapters?-
Yup.
*VampMarty and Marty2 high-five*
Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] martyfan did this great drawing in her own class today, based on DocWolf trying to get a persistent plotbunny away from CKF:

DW: *laugh* It was a bit of a struggle. . . .
