I still had my fair share of distracted moments (I actually spent a good portion of the morning rereading bits of Going Postal), but I managed to get my head in the game rather earlier than yesterday. I think I have to thank it being Father's Day for that -- I got up a bit earlier than planned to make sure I had Dad's gift ready (a tree-hugging bear sculpture we purchased right before everything REALLY started going to shit here in RI; he liked it a lot and put it up in our tree in the backyard, right above one of the branches so it's supported against the wind), and that left me enough time to get most of my "fucking around" out of my system. :p So yeah, after Father's Day presents were handed out:

-->We played another round of the beanbag game -- or the SANDBAG game now. Mom actually went to a pond nearby and took some sand off its beach to make them! Poor Mom, she weighed them all out perfectly, put the sand in plastic bags which she hot-glued shut, then put THOSE into bags made out of an old pair of Dad's jeans which she sewed shut quite solidly. . .and still one of them ended up leaking partway through. *sigh* Anyway, Dad adapted the fastest to the new bags and won all three games -- I had a miserable start to the first game but managed to take second thanks to some lucky throws, and then Mom came second in the second two games. We were all doing a lot better by game three, though, which was the closest. :) Mom also got Dad a horseshoes set for Father's Day, but we haven't put that one out yet -- Dad doesn't want to wreck the lawn with the horseshoes, so he has to built a little pit for them first. Hopefully it'll be fun!

-->I got a LOT of ground covered on YouTube:

A) FINALLY completely caught up with the last two remaining parts of "Rags to Redevelopment!" And Ambrose's life continues to be an absolute rollercoaster of ups and downs – biggest ups being fairly steady promotions in his job (he's officially in the Civil Designer branch, which provided him with his own fabricator) and successfully completing the "you can get a nice 'inheritance' if you get married in seven days" phone call event (with LILITH VATORE of all Sims, mostly because she was on the lot and single when James remembered the moodlet and its ticking clock – hilariously enough, James realized she didn't even have to move in with Ambrose to be married to him! He DID, however, give her $2,500 as her "share" of the $5,000 inheritance – might as well be fair!); biggest downs being HIS GENERATOR BEING HIT BY LIGHTNING AND LATER SETTING HIS HOUSE ON FIRE. All his new bathroom stuff and his old bed got burnt to a crisp. James fortunately was able to get enough money to replace the items thanks to the aforementioned promotions and whatnot (also a Sim who was bothering him for tons and tons of capital for her start-up business giving him $2,000 when he complained she never paid him back), and now his new line of generators (because he needs a LOT to satisfy his power needs) are situated WELL AWAY from the house. Because he's trying not to risk disaster again. "One of those Rags to Riches," as he put it. XD Ah well – things were looking up at the end of the last episode. Ambrose has a garden, a juice fizzer, his work-provided fabricator, and a selling table so he can make a killing off yard sales. :p I look forward to watching the next part when it arrives!

B) And also FINALLY caught up, at least a little, on the MASSIVE amount of GrayStillPlays sitting in my Watch Later queue! We have:

1. Pearly Gates – another one of those "judge for Heaven or Hell" games, only this time God is essentially The Big Lebowski and you must be sent to hell for ANY kind of murder (including animals! Even accidental killing!), stealing (even just "stealing the show" with your stage presence!), and lying (even if the weather turned your true statement about a construction job into a lie! And you didn't even charge them as an apology!). Gray was like "damn, this is kinda fucked up even for ME." XD

2. Episode – yup, another one! :D This one featuring FloridaManchild, the world's worst father! And the worst candidate to end up on a wife swap show, mostly because he is only too willing to stay with a monster who poisoned his children to get him all to herself. Also he left all three of them alone during a game of hide-and-seek to go home and rock out in his terrible terrible basement. XD I love when Gray can play an absolute dick in these games, seriously.

3. Auto Kitchen – a game all about making an automated kitchen to create food items for people! . . .Gray promptly made the most complicated set-up for making a scone that he possibly could, because why wouldn't you want to use CANNONS to launch your dough across the absurdly wide room? XD He also fell into the ingredient funnels three times, the third time AFTER filling it with so much crap that the game's FPS was absolutely tanking. Seeing him then DELETE the funnel and the ingredients just come spilling out like lava. . .beautiful. Just beautiful.

4. Grand Theft Auto V – yup, we're back with the Hulk ruining people's lives! And again, I was tricked by the title and the thumbnail – I thought he was setting up another killer coaster with shark animatronics in Planet Coaster. But nope! This was GTA V, and this was "making a 'sharks-on-freight-train' cannon with chip cans and a lot of innocent pedestrians. Oh, and a blimp at the end." XD I don't know if Gray even KNOWS how to play GTA V the normal way, or if he would care if he did. XD

5. Silly Killing – You know that weird game featuring stick figures where you have to guess who is going to die first in certain screwed-up scenarios that I've mentioned watching Gray play before? Well, this is that game, only it's a rip-off. Or the other game ripped off this one. Either way, it's time for more screwed-up scenarios! XD Like bathrooms full of zombies, or fire, or spikes! More women ditching their boyfriends for people in sports cars, and getting crushed by bikes for their infidelity! And projectile poop completely DESTROYING a public toilet. XD I don't know WHERE he finds these games, but they are true TREASURES.

-->Played some Sims 4 -- back to Newcrest Adventures with Nikal and Emmett. They had a reasonably chill day in the Magic Realm, practicing their craft and buying some new goodies (Emmett got a tome for a new potion, while Nikal got herself a broom). I also had them try for a baby, as Nikal had a whim for it, but no dice. Perhaps I'll have them try again the next time I play -- I have some money, I could do some small house renovations and put in a kid's bedroom. We'll see what happens next weekend!

-->Started edits on Chapter 9 of "Secundus 2!" And this chapter is only eight pages, so updates on it should go a lot quicker, let me tell you. Chapter 10 is currently looking to be almost THIRTY pages, though -- I, uh, might be splitting that one into two smaller chapters (as I can think of a decent break point in it). Still, yeah, with about four more chapters to go, it looks like this is going to take me at least the rest of the summer. Which is fine, really -- I like having a project. Keeps my brain occupied and helps ward off the Anxiety (tm).

-->And I've just been catching up on tumblr tags and webcomics and getting my Valice Multiverse queue sorted since! So yeah, that's been good. Just gotta answer the last couple of comments in the inbox and I'm ready to hit the sack and head to another day at work tomorrow!

. . .Yeah, I'd rather just be staying home, but that's not the world we live in. *sigh* Just hoping I sleep better tonight. AC keeping it appropriately chilly should help. . . Night all!
