At least when I left for work -- it was POURING! The spray on the highway was something else. And then having to run from the parking lot to the actual building was less than fun. Ugh. . .at least it had stopped by the time I left, but the day was pretty miserable, weather-wise. Pretty weird to think that it was so cool and rainy today, and it'll be so hot and humid tomorrow. . .then again, I've got my AC on currently because the temperature's gone up and I needed to cool my room down after dancing around to a couple of songs, so. . .

Day's been pretty all right apart from that, though:

-->Work was relatively quiet -- a few calls to answer, some stuff to research for the exceptions, getting a couple of forms out of the bucket where the roster maintenance now lives. Not a lot done, but it's something.

-->Played some Fallout 4 and tested that new "dumpster diving" mod that I decided to pick up the other day. If you're wondering what it's all about, there are two types of dumpsters in the game: the kind with both lids, which serves as a container you can loot stuff out of, and the kind with only one lid and visible garbage, which is just there for decoration. The mod turns those latter dumpsters into containers too, allowing you to pick up garbage from them. Including some unique items, including buckets o'bones and whatnot. XD Took me a while to find some dumpsters to properly test the mod, though -- I went from my "traveling with Piper" save, and ended up redoing part of the Jamaica Plain stuff with her because I knew there was a couple there. Even got another affinity conversation out of it! Didn't bother flirting because this is just test saves and whatnot, but it was still nice. :) So yeah, that was fun -- when I wasn't being savaged by feral ghouls or gunners. :p

-->Two main categories of YouTubery today:

A) Two JuiceHead Fallout 4 videos:

1. Remember that video I watched where he tried to destroy all factions immediately, but didn't realize that, yes, you can still get to the Institute without the Railroad to decode the chip for you? Well, he knows about that now, and – inspired by a new mod that lets you destroy all the factions – decided to give it another try. New results? While it's possible to completely slaughter the Railroad, and lock yourself out of the Brotherhood and the Institute via wanton murder aggro-ing almost the moment you meet them. . .you ain't getting anywhere story-wise without the Minutemen. They're marked essential, and you're not progressing any quests without them. So the only way to truly destroy all four factions is to use mods. Though there are some neat updated dialogue sequences and suchlike if you go this route – like rescuing Nick early and telling him it was just luck you found him, or being able to explain to Preston that you're looking for the Minutemen for help building a teleporter if you do all that before going to Concord. Good for a speed run?

2. And the video ON the mod that inspired this second take at destroying all factions, "Diary of a Madman," where your character can pick up a holotape at Pickman the serial killer's place and basically get access to the ability to blow up all the faction headquarters on their own, without siding with anybody. There's also the option to blow up Diamond City in a separate quest centering around McDonough's expulsion of ghouls from the place – though you can also resolve that peacefully, if you do choose. It's not exactly my cup of tea, but it does look interesting, and I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate having the options it presents.

B) Then it was time to catch up on GrayStillPlays! Starting with:

1. Cluehunter, a mobile game in the same vein as Save The Girl – only now you're playing a detective solving crimes via very stupid means. Like vacuuming off the cardboard cutout a cheating guy is standing behind. Or getting past a guard dog by dressing up as Discount Belle from Beauty And The Beast. Or scaring a purse snatcher by putting a bedsheet over your head – and getting whacked so hard by the victim that you spend a couple of rounds in a funky dream realm with superpowers. XD It's completely bonkers and thus a perfect Gray game!

2. Help! The Serious Game – we've had airplane safety, now it's disaster safety! With the twist being that you're being taught how to help people with disabilities (specifically, a blind person, a deaf person, and a person in a wheelchair) escape with you. Gray did the "earthquake" and "serious fire" scenarios with both the wheelchair user and the blind man, and – well, being GRAY, he did his best to get them and his own character seriously hurt. Highlights included walking into multiple hanging lights, nearly getting crushed under a fallen vent, and abandoning the blind person in a giant cloud of smoke. XD Gray laughing as he admits he's a horrible person in the middle was just the icing on the cake.

3. It's GTA V! And we have moved on from sharks to sports! Specifically, to trying to drop a person from an enormous height into a basketball hoop in a tiny pool in a mansion courtyard. It took SO MANY TRIES – so many people ended up broken on the roof or pavement Gray had to restart the challenge at least TWICE because the game couldn't keep up with the bodies! Also there was that one moment where he fell off while riding a bicycle and started flying SIDEWAYS toward the mountains. XD But he did actually manage his goal after shotgunning like twenty people off the platform. It was glorious. :D

4. Happy Wheels – some of you may have heard of this game. It's supposed to be a showcase of skill and agility, maneuvering some poor sod and his kid on a bike through various obstacles and hoping they both come out in one piece. (At least, that's the bits of it I've seen.) . . .Gray's version was throwing poop at people to knock them off toilets, navigating a dungeon with a battle ax up his butt, and launching babies into various dangerous situations. Oh, and running over a bunch of people to go buy toilet paper. I knew it was a Gray game before, but now? Oh yes, it is DEFINITELY a Gray game. XD

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice is skulking around the blood bank, having successfully broken in, and has found the secret passage into the morgue! (Which I had her see as one of those keyhole passageways, because I haven't been Wonderlanding-up her surroundings much lately and thought she was due.) Time to raid Crumb's belongings to push along Knox's quest, then go find Lily hidden away and having her blood drained. I actually had her fail hacking into the computer that contains the freezer password the first time, because I felt it was a little more interesting. I'm not sure if she's going to go back to the computer and successfully guess the password, or if she's gonna go straight for the freezers and get a hint from the Wonderlanders so she can figure out the password there. Either way would be acceptable. . .we'll see when I get there.

-->And now I'm just working on getting my queue sorted for tomorrow on Valice Multiverse. Gotta answer the usual comments too. . .no Friday Night Writing Thing as my partner didn't sleep well and I'm tired and still PMSing myself (REALLY thought the stupid period would come today. . .ugh, I hate when it's like this. So tired of waiting. . .). So I'm probably just gonna mess around and read things until I get tired and go to bed. Tomorrow will be about Sims 4 -- playing it and watching a few videos on it. Also hope to either catch up on my OXBox or my Linkara tomorrow -- or both, if I can swing it! It's a non-cleaning Saturday, so I'll have more time to spend on videos and the like. Also need to edit my gift fic for my tumblr friend for this upcoming Wednesday, mustn't forget.

So yeah, time to finish up queuing those asks and answering comments. Night all!
