crossover_chickAs I'm a little pressed for time thanks to some general distractedness and getting into a conversation on my RP tumblr (turns out tumblr's stupid update meant I missed a starter from a friend because it never showed up in my activity feed and she thought I was mad at her for some reason -- ugh, I hate the new dashboard):
-->Work was busy -- solved that thing with my checks from yesterday, then got a bunch of other stuff posted today. Also had to research some stuff that Fiscal sent down, and my supervisor wants me to start in on the updates bin, and -- well, like I said. Busy. At least the time went by?
-->Another hot day, though fortunately not as humid -- still got the AC running, though! No beanbag game, but I got in a workout, which is good.
-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" Chapter 10 after supper -- the gang is off to the train station to see if they can figure out what Barkis and Buford are up to! It won't take them long to find out -- and given this story is largely a variation on BTTF III, I'm sure most of you can guess what's happening too. XD Ah well, still fun to write -- and we're almost to the split point, which is good. We'll see what happens when I hit it! Again, thinking I WILL split it, but it's not a sure thing. . .

A) Went ahead and watched episode one of The Sims Spark'd, that new reality series they made where they have teams of at least semi-famous Simmers make Sims, build them homes, and then do short stories with them based around certain themes. It's pretty standard reality show fare, honestly – short opener challenge for a bonus, then longer elimination challenge; three judges, including one famous face I personally don't know much about; an annoying host; and the team with the most drama staying on despite having the least reason to (basically, the moment xMiraMira started not getting along with Dr. Gluon, I KNEW their team was safe despite the criticism. Well, that and they DID turn in a finished product when the eliminated team didn't). And it's – not all that interesting to watch? I like watching Simmers actually MAKE the Sims, and build the houses, and cause the drama, but given the time crunches they were under, and the way the show is filmed. . . I am very "meh" about the whole thing. Only watching for Plumbella! (Who is her team's "stylist" DESPITE SAYING IN HER SPARK'D BIO SHE DOESN'T USUALLY DO MUCH IN CAS. Oh, this competition. . .) At least it promises to be short. . . (Also watched the trailer for the next episode, but it wasn't really anything I didn't see at the end of the episode.)
B) Speaking of Plumbella – how about highlights from a stream where she built a little house inspired by other SimsTubers? Specifically, James Turner, Vixella, Steph0Sims, lilsimsie, and RT Game. James got a black-and-white bathroom; Vixella a lovely kitchen; lilsimsie a nicely-put together living room; Steph0Sims a somewhat-more-chaotic bedroom (with a mini-slide as an end table!); and RT Game UTTERLY DESTROYED THE LANDSCAPING XD Apparently he likes to play around a LITTLE too much with the terrain tools. . . It's a fun little build, and I'd like to see her try it again with different Tubers! (Yes, I want a Kevin room, what of it?)
-->And then the majority of my evening has been catching up on webcomics and getting my tumblr queues sorted. I think I can think of another culprit in the "I missed a starter" situation -- I've been getting so many anon asks lately they kind of drown out other stuff. It wasn't until mid-conversation with my friend about the missed starter that I remembered I had an actual thread reply too. Got it done, at least -- and the text for my five Newcrest Adventures posts on Wednesday! (Though I did indeed skip the captions on the pictures -- if most people are probably not going to see them. . .) I'm actually good through the first part of Friday on Victor Luvs Alice, which is nice -- though I have to remember to switch the queue back to 2 after tomorrow, lest things post on the wrong day!
And that's about it! Time to answer the DW comments and then hit the sheets! Hopefully Wednesday will be decent. . .and I'll make an okay dent in the updates bin. Fingers crossed! Night all!
