crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)

Hopefully tomorrow -- whatever was going on with the online portal seems to be fixed now, meaning I can call people about their online giving again. And I've caught up with the processing as much as I'm able, so I'm really hoping tomorrow I can devote to clearing out as much as I can of the exceptions. So many of these bundles have like one or two things left. . . If it wasn't for everyone needing me for something or other, I'd have a much better time of it, but that's unlikely to change anytime soon. (Especially with COVID cases looking like they're going back up in my state. . .ugh.)

Anyway -- did what I could at work, then came home and ended up skipping my workout because I was worried it was going to thunderstorm and keep me from my shower (it was raining pretty good there for a little while -- no storm, though. But you know if I'd done a video, we would have had thunder and lightning and all of it). Had supper and then:

-->Finished up Chapter 10 of "Secundus 2" and started Chapter 11! Yup, I split it, and found a way to transition from one chapter to the other. So yes, Chapter 10 -- with the gang embarking by flying train after Barkis and Buford -- is done and shall make an appearance this weekend. Chapter 11, though, is where the action really is -- hoping you enjoy it! :)

-->Had another largely Sims-focused night on YouTube:

A) Another animation from the guy who did Kevin as a thief – now it's RTGame throwing swords in VR game Asgard's Wrath XD He was – well, he ended up picking quantity over quality, let's just say that. XD

B) The next episode of The Sims Spark'd, because it's short and I may as well see it through to the end. Again, my opinion is kind of a resounding "meh," though I'm pleased that the Llama Drama seems to have played itself out. The skills challenge was pretty interesting – Plumbella basically did a little docudrama about North-East England and the mining families that grew up there. :) And the supernatural challenges were fun – I liked how everybody handled the inclusion of the occult Sims. :) Sadly, my main reason for watching the show just got eliminated, so I don't have much of anyone to root for in the finale. Though I guess I should go for the team that was closest to the eliminated team. . . Cowplant it is! We'll see what happens next time.

C) Plumbella's review of the Nifty Knitting stuff pack that just came out – can be summed up as "what we get is pretty decent, though Plopsy needs a little tweaking and I am distressed at the lack of a trait to go with the aspiration. Also I kind of think that this could have been combined into another, bigger pack with like Tiny Living or the like." Which – she's not wrong? She actually came up with a great way to describe the whole thing – Sims 3 stuffed like ten separate concepts into one expansion, while Sims 4 stretches one concept over ten expansions. If we could just meet in the middle. . .but as My First Pet Stuff unfortunately proved, even with an uproar, enough people will buy the packs to justify these continual splits. (And I'm not saying I'm any better, simply because, well, I've bought all of the packs except that one. Too many of them have this one little thing I want. . .)

D) And of course, if Plumbella has taken on Nifty Knitting, so too must James Turner! His video was a little more focused on just trying out some of the new stuff – namely rocking chairs and knitting – with Ambrose and seeing how it all works. He likes what's available, but he had some critiques – mainly, there should be a "Plopsy" sort in the inventory to help see what's been listed (though the background of items on the online store DOES change to show that they're up for sale), and the catalog for the newest crafted items needs to be organized better, as it is a pain for Simmers who unlock them to use them in builds to get through! This is what happens when every swatch is an individual item. *nods* Oh! And he also mentioned that the trend of Aspirations to be like game tutorials makes them feel less like things the Sims aspire to and more like just achievements you can get. Talk about pinning down the problem with the Sims 4 version! *insert rant here about how The Sims 2 did it better and how we need a happy medium with a proper wants and fears system and the ability to have multiple things to aspire to that can be switched between* Er, but overall, he seemed to like the pack idea. XD And both of us like that the user names on Plopsy reference other Sim games and suchlike – I saw "VickiVampiressMagic" on there during his vid. :)

-->And now I'm working very hard on getting my Victor Luvs Alice and Valice Multiverse queues sorted! Ugh, this is why I don't like five-part updates for my Sims. . .at least I don't have to bother with the captions (tumblr screwed up how they're displayed on the dashboard, so I went 'fuck it'). And of course I have more asks to answer over on Valice Multiverse, along with a thread reply. . . So yeah, best if I just get right back to that and don't stick around! Night all!
