-->Had a pretty tense ride in (some speed demon riding on my ass down most of my trip on the highway, then I had to thread my way through some road construction and then deal with ANOTHER person on my butt), and we had to close the door to our office because someone down the hall was burning an awful scented candle. . .but most of the work day was pretty low-key, honestly. Usual annoyances with the credit card people, and fun with overly complicated matching gifts, but I wasn't quite as stressed out as usual.

-->Had a nice afternoon with the beanbag game (I won the second game, Dad took the first and last ones) and a good bike ride while watching some "best of Taskmaster" moments -- and then after supper, when I was relaxing in my room and preparing to start writing, some random stranger appears on our lawn and starts heading toward the house! Good thing I only had my window open a bit and could get it shut fast! She ended up turning around and going away, across the street -- I don't know WHY she was here or for what reason. Mom and Dad claim not to have seen her at all from the living room, which is weird because I could have sworn she was heading for the door. . . *sigh* At any rate, her appearance and my subsequent anger over not being able to even have my windows open a LITTLE completely destroyed my writing groove -- I got like three short paragraphs on "Londerland Bloodlines" before giving up. *sigh*

-->I mean, part of that is my emotions are hypercharged right now because guess who got her period this afternoon! However, the flip plus side of that is that I caught it RIGHT when it was starting, it started after work, and I'll be through the worst days of it on my day off and on a half-day Friday. So minimal amount of time spent worrying about the accursed thing at my job, or having it affect my performance.

-->Well, I may not have gotten my writing done, but I did catch up a bit on YouTube:

A) OXtra talks achievements, and how they can ruin your game experience! No, this isn't a retread of the previous OXBox video about embarrassing achievements to get (though they ARE mentioned as one of the categories) – instead, this video focuses on achievements that pop at awkward times, or can ruin plot twists, or force you to play multiplayer (occasionally very specific versions of the multiplayer too, which is even worse). Basically, all those little ways getting an achievement can annoy you rather than make you feel proud. There was even a slot for weird gamerscores on XBox, which I guess only makes sense given the name. XD

B) And then it was time for a bit of Call Me Kevin!

1. More Fall Guys, this time with a few of the Irish Lads! One of whom was kind enough to sacrifice himself holding a competitor down to be swept away by a spinny thing so Kevin could win an early game. XD Kevin said that he didn't feel like he'd really earned that crown, but he'd take it anyway. His chaos leanings came out in later games, though – fucking around in the "jump through hoops" game (and having a hoop spawn on top of him, leading to him accidentally getting it), and making it a personal mission to "hug" his friend Daithi after said friend got a little TOO into "Fall Ball" and started yelling at him for not doing enough to score goals. XD All in all, a delightfully chaotic experience.

2. Scrutinized, a game about – I guess being a police detective investigating suspicious persons cases? All I know is that you have the ability to look people up in various databases and hack into their social media and phones (ahem), but you're ALSO being stalked in your constantly-losing-electricity-and-internet house by a kidnapper and a murderer (with aspirations to become a serial killer). So you have to balance doing your reports with making sure your lights are on and your windows are locked. Kevin – was not great at either. He got kidnapped like three times, killed once, and put a lot of effort into solving a murder case, only to accidentally put the report into the virtual shredder. XD I think that last was the one that bothered him the most, honestly – can't say I blame him! Never fun when you lose a lot of hard work. . .

-->And I've just caught up with all my webcomics and suchlike, so it's time to set up a queue for Thursday over on Victor Luvs Alice and answer what remains in my inbox. At least today's a Wednesday, so I don't have to worry about Valice Multiverse! Plans for tomorrow include catching up on GrayStillPlays videos (I've built up a backlog that includes more Henry Stickmin and Sims 4), either playing Sims 4 or Fallout 4 (we'll see which one I'm feeling tomorrow), and writing more on "Secundus 2" (gotta keep up the pace on Chapter 12!).

For now, though, finishing up with comments and queuing, and maybe seeing if I can sneak in some late-night writing. If not, perhaps I'll do a little extra LB on Saturday. We'll see. Night all!
