crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
Had stress dreams about not having my mask in public; woke up super-early again and kept trying to go back to sleep while simultaneously not sleeping through my alarm; had more problems dropped in my lap at work; felt like my coworkers were subtly shading me for not doing roster maintenance stuff when I was trying to do other things. Like, fucking hell, I know there's a lot to do, I was the only one doing it for ages! God, I just -- I hate my job right now. I seriously do.

Afternoon was all right once I got home, at least:

-->Did another workout in my room, which is good -- keeping up the activity, yay~

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Gimble's place is starting to look like the Dollhouse to Alice (is anyone actually surprised), and she's opened up a bit to Mercurio about her past (he is glad she wasted Bumby). Slowly but surely getting close to taking out the serial killer and saving Carson!

-->Cleared out my Watch Later on YouTube (meaning that, again for tonight, I'm all caught up again!):

A) Started with a speed paint by Daria Cohen, the creator of the "Vampair" series, featuring Duke wishing he could have both the original human Missi (or Melissa) and her vampire counterpart for, ahem, a bit of fun. Missi isn't pleased with his imaginings XD

B) Then it was onto an OXBox video about seven giant bosses that make you feel terrifyingly small! From the horrible monster robot T-Rex that is Metal Gear Sahelanthropus, to the literal God Jubileus, these bosses will make you feel like an insect. An EXTREMELY BADASS insect. XD Which, you could do worse?

C) Then we visited Plumbella and one of her build challenges – every room is a different budget, as chosen by a random number generator! The living room, dining room/entrance, and kitchen all got decent budgets and came out really nicely (Plumbella said she hated and yet loved the kitchen's colors) – and then the bedroom budget came up as $174, which wasn't even enough for a wall. She quickly grabbed some debug items and started claiming it was still under construction, then – after getting a lavish budget for the bathroom – quietly stuck a coffin in there as a bed, disguising it as a table. XD Special bonus: RT suddenly appearing in her room for the end of the video for some banter! I guess they are dating? :)

D) Speaking of people who are close to RT, it was Call Me Kevin time right after, with a session of the original Far Cry! Featuring Most Generic Action Dude In A Hawaiian Shirt ever, driving cars into the ocean and hacking people up with a machete! And attempting to escape into open water once he gets a boat, only for the game to kill him. XD Quite jank, as it is an older game, but still a blast to watch Kevin attempt to stumble through it, with only moderate success. XD

E) Then onto some serious game breakage with GrayStillPlays and Streamer Life Simulator! Which – this thing LOOKS like a cheap Unity game, but it has some weird hidden depths. Like a shockingly in-depth character creator. And environments that look like someone threw a few bits of garbage together and called it good. And a working driving sim, and – basically, this game is somehow everything and nothing at the same time. Gray thoroughly enjoyed visiting the strip club and working his streamer to death in front of their terrible CRT monitor. XD

-->Then it was time to catch up with webcomics and get the last of my pictures done for my Newcrest Adventures update -- Dr. Wheatley and Geeker woohooing Dario in a dumpster. XD Well, it's something different, at least! Getting the preliminary posts up in my drafts now so I can add the proper text tomorrow.

And that's about it -- too hot and sticky today to do game stuff, and tomorrow's got more thunderstorm chances coming through, so we likely won't beanbag then either. So fingers crossed for Wednesday, I guess! And hopefully the rest of my week will improve from here. I'll take trying to get a better night's sleep tonight, at least. . .

Okay -- finish up prelim posts, and answer any remaining comments in the inbox. Should be able to manage that before bedtime. Night all!
