Seriously -- it wasn't that hot, but we ended up having to turn the AC on in the mid afternoon because it was just so sticky! Blech. . .then again, the rain we got today was supposed to be what's left of Laura, so I guess it makes sense for it to be more tropical rain. At least our plants seemed to like it!

Rest of the day was all right -- morning was a little tense as Dad was having computer problems again, but I still got most of the stuff I wanted to get done, done:

-->Mucked around on TV Tropes and tumblr just reading stuff for a while, because that helps relax me and sometimes it's nice just to be able to do that

-->Played some Sims 4 -- my plans to have Chell go back to her bakery and open it for business again were somewhat derailed by a surprise welcome wagon showing up at the door after Wheatley left for work. O.o Uh -- a) Chell, Geeker, and Wheatley aren't new to the neighborhood, just this particular lot; b) shouldn't you have shown up on the FIRST day they moved into said lot? *shrug* I let them in and entertained the guests for a bit (Jennifer, Emmett, Alice, and Victor), because eh, nobody knew each other anymore and I figured it was worth it to reestablish relationships. I DID eventually get Chell down to her bakery. . .and ended up rebuilding it because I wasn't satisfied with the current structure. Now it's an actual building, instead of having an open front with half walls, and has a full kitchen in the back for Chell to use in cooking and baking (using some of my Fallout 4 CC because it has good stats but was also fairly cheap). And I redesigned the bathrooms to have actual stalls too. So yeah, not what I intended, but time still well spent! Next time I play, I'll have her actually open up the shop -- she's got a few things to sell already (I had her make some cakes, cupcakes, and doughnuts), and now that I have both a stove and a cupcake machine, making more should be a breeze! :)

-->Watched a lot of Sims-related YouTube:

A) Starting off with The English Simmer and 5 things she can't believe aren't in The Sims 4 after six years – namely, cars (easily the most popular request from the community; I can take it or leave it, though Sims 2 style cars could be fun, as she mentioned), singing and bands (separate from the musician career – I would TOTALLY be down for this because of my Marty sim!), story progression and more random bad events (I'm more "eh" on this, because I don't like the NPCs getting up to TOO much while I'm not looking at them – also, I'm always worried it'll affect my played families off-screen, which, ahem, no), fairies (returning from Sims 3 Supernatural, done like vampires – she mentioned she thinks Vampires is like THE perfect game pack, meaning I now automatically like you, EnglishSimmer! XD), and farming (hey, I like having Sims set up gardens; wouldn't mind going whole hog!). Personally, I think werewolves would come back next as the next "Occult" sim, and it's likely we'd just get more instruments instead of actual bands (which is also okay, I kinda want drums back), but we'll see what happens! In a world where a Star Wars-branded pack can happen. . .

B) Then onto James Turner doing a perfectly normal house. A perfectly normal bunk bed house. XD Yup, apparently he was in the mood to make a bunk bed house because he feels like the perfect bone for EA to throw the community after the controversial Star Wars pack announcement is bunk beds! Wouldn't say no. . . Anyway, the house (after one on-camera abortive start) actually came out pretty well! The house itself is "disguised" as under-bed storage and will fit two Sims at most, but it's a pretty good early home, and it has a fun design. XD And he's talking about adding all sorts of randomizers to his site, because he codes in his sleep, so I'm hoping for more "Random ____" challenges. XD

C) Then more fun with reacting to the Journey to Batuu game pack – Carl's Sims Guides is less than enthusiastic. XD He says that he is going to try and give this a fair review, and there's a chance that, because this definitely SHOULD have Disney money behind it, it might have more of a budget and thus get to be more fleshed out than your average game pack, but he's not holding his breath, essentially. He's not bashing on anyone for being excited, this is just not his cup of tea. Same, Carl, same.

D) And then over to Plumbella for her take, which is interesting, because apparently she's never seen any of the films. Her heart belongs to Harry Potter, and that where it is STAYING. XD Her opinion on the pack, as someone who has no clue what's going on with the Star Wars side of it, is that it looks pretty cool – and that makes her sad, because she wishes this kind of love and attention had been given to packs like Strangerville. To her, this feels like "why is THIS pack, made for a fandom I've never been in, getting all the love?" To which we all reply, "Because EA wants to keep its license to make Star Wars games and is probably getting a better budget to develop this pack as a result." I mean, I do seriously hope it's good, for the fans in my circle, just it's not my cup of tea and I still wish it was a stand-alone game. I think we'd all be happier if that was the case!

E) Aaaand, just for funsies, one TED-Ed riddle about escaping jail and needing to time 45 seconds with two fuses that burn for exactly one minute each (but burn irregularly, so you can't just look at a fuse and know how much time is left). Turns out lighting both ends of one fuse and one end of the second will do the trick, as you can time 30 seconds from the fuse burning from both ends, then 15 seconds from the other fuse by lighting the second end right after the first fuse burns out. Apparently this will work, though it seems like a LOT could go wrong if you tried this in the real world. XD

-->As promised, posted Chapter 12 of "Secundus 2!" Mostly just wrapping up loose ends and whatnot. The villain is captured, the heroes are making plans to return home. . .it's all over but the crying. :p And the baby, of course, which is the focus of the final chapter. At ten pages, that'll probably be about two weeks to complete, barring misadventure. But we should have this thing completed by the end of September!

-->And now I'm doing quite a bit of the RP thing on tumblr, as one of my friends is pretty active with our current threads. Well, I can dig it. :p Also have to answer what's on DW, of course -- ought to get on that. Tomorrow -- more Fallout 4 stuff, and catching up on GrayStillPlays and Call Me Kevin! Reasonable goals, I feel. :p Night all!

I read it when I got the email Saturday night and intended to re-read it on Sunday but I got a phone call from the barn asking me to come up and be a trail guide, so I didn't get a chance to. And now it's Monday, lol. I'll get to it.

Edit: Okay, I'm back.

"Herbert." Seamus came up to the mayor, touching his shoulder.

...

"They're heroes, Herbert!" Seamus nodded.

Hubert. That's, like, the only time the name was wrong.

Otherwise, yay story!

I purposely set it to "Entire Work" so I could double check to make sure it was only the twice. I like that feature, lol.
