September 7th? That's This Monday!
Sep. 7th, 2020 10:04 pmYup, it's the big one of the week -- Marty facing off against Buford, Doc and Marty "borrowing" the locomotive, and a narrow rescue of Doc and Clara via hoverboard! Action-packed day in the Old West indeed. :D As stated, my parents and I watched BTTF III with lunch -- I got out my Blu-Rays, but Mom said that we could probably just watch it on Netflix without having to deal with the Blu-Ray player, so that's what we ended up doing. *shrug* I'm easy -- I'm just used to having to watch it from disc! But yeah, it was a lot of fun to see the movie again -- I'd kinda missed BTTF a little bit. :) 35th anniversary of the original film is a good time to catch up, I suppose!
Anyway, rest of my day has been pretty good too:
-->Had a nice parfait for breakfast -- yogurt, granola, strawberries, and banana. Om nom nom~
-->We played the beanbag game right after the movie ended -- Dad won three games, and Mom and I won one each. Most of them were fairly close, but I didn't really hit my stride until the last game. Ah well -- still fun!
-->Played some Sims 4 after that -- with minimal fuckshittery from my computer, fortunately. We had some laggy moments, and a couple of times where the images on the screen stuttered and froze (fortunately I know how to fix that -- just ctrl-alt-del out for a second and then go back), but I was able to get through a day at Wheatley's work! Where -- shock of shock -- SOMETHING DIFFERENT HAPPENED. Namely, Wheatley got sent on a House Call! It wasn't anything TOO amazing -- he got sent to a random house, and had to examine three random Sims there and give them medicine -- but DAMN, I will take ANYTHING to break up the usual Active Career tedium. Does Detective ever get this? Hmmm. . . He also got another patient who needed surgery to treat their illness, so that's the second of the three he needs to FINALLY GET PROMOTED. Inching closer to that, yay. . .but tomorrow in-game is Love Day, so we'll see if he ends up going to work the next day or not. At least I'm making good progress!
-->Got in some YouTubery:
A) Another Yandere Simulator video from my Recommendeds – this one showing off all the variants (er, such as they are – it's just different dialogue) of the ending cutscene where Senpai meets Amai, rival two. There's a lot of ways to eliminate Osana, and Senpai has a reaction to pretty much all of them. Poor guy, he seriously does sound like he needs a hug in most of them too.
B) Hopped over to Plumbella for a video on a very cutesy in-development life Sim – Little Sim World! It's set in London, it involves things like going to work, upgrading your house, and finding love, and it allows you to set your character's favorite color, favorite food, preferred diet in general, their interests. . .yeah, it's sad when the 2D top-down simulator allows for more character customization than the mainstream Sims 4. * grumbles* But yeah, Plumbella is excited for it, and I'm excited for her. :) Looking forward to seeing it pop up on her channel once it's available to play!
C) Then it was time to visit James and see the next episode of "Rags To Redevelopment!" Where, of course, he was regretting his decision to move Lilith and the two babies into his household. XD Fortunately taking care of them wasn't too much of a pain – having a mother with super speed helped with THAT, I'm sure. :p And Ambrose more or less just did his thing while Lilith mothered the kids and (very occasionally) knitted – a few more skill classes at Foxbury has gotten him the Charisma he needs for a promotion, but he still needs to get up that Logic. . .more pressing, though is that now that he's a family man (and his two boys are now toddlers as of the end of the episode), he REALLY needs to renovate and rearrange his house. Apparently the next episode shall be a massive dumpster dive, and then a renovation – looking forward to it!
D) And then back to Gray Still Plays, as I still had two videos in my Watch Later from him:
1. More Microsoft Flight Simulator, this time with added "Gray messes with the config files for various planes by adding all the zeroes to as many numbers as possible." The results? Cessnas and Boeing 747s in low orbit doing backflips. XD It was amazing, and I'm thrilled to have seen it. And I'm really hoping he messes even MORE with it all now. . .
2. Code Brown, a game about pooping! Specifically, your character has a potty emergency, and must relieve that potty emergency – by any means possible. I'm serious, the whole game is about getting your character to places where they can poop that are NOT toilets, and then watching the consequences (like pooping in a car's engine block, and seeing what happens when the owners drive away). It's – horrifying and hilarious by equal measures. You know a game is good when GRAY doesn't know what to make of it!
-->Got in a workout, which I have been neglecting this weekend, so go me -- admittedly, I also had an extra dessert this weekend, but it's a holiday, it's a BTTF Day, so hell with it.
-->Wrote some more -- on "Secundus 2." Yeah, watching BTTF III, I kept thinking about how I'd changed things up for that fic, so I was in a Secundus mood, and decided it would only be right to swap it and "Londerland Bloodlines" for today. *nods* Victor has officially met his son, and had another upsurge of anxiety, poor guy. Fortunately, Alice knows just what to say to help him through. :)
-->Got all my pictures for my Newcrest Adventures update sorted -- this is the one where I redesigned the bakery and had that weird second Welcome Wagon. It's a shorter one -- just two and a half updates, picture-wise -- but that's okay. They can't all be epics where somebody's woohooing in a dumpster. XD
And now it's time to put said pictures into the preliminary draft posts for the queue on Wednesday, and answer the comments sitting around on DW. Gotta get into bed at a decent hour, after all. . . Ugh, and already I'm developing The Anxiety over having to go back to work. I know I'm probably overreacting and all, but. . .meh. When the news can have a report on horrific wildfires basically eating California, idiot college kids having parties probably helping to raise COVID cases again, and Trump being -- Trump. . .it's hard not to have The Anxiety about leaving the house. Meh. . .but I do have a mortgage to pay, so I must soldier on through. Night all!
