Quiet In A Better Way Thursday

crossover_chickTalked to our supervisor about the GL stuff -- looks like that might actually be fixed now going forward? I hope so, anyway. . .but I hope this doesn't lead to a reversion to "credit card stuff only posts once a month." It really feels like we bounce back and forth between two extremes here, and I hate it. Ugh. . .but that's getting sorted, and I was able to nearly complete some roster maintenance I was working on, and my coworkers just went down into the basement for long periods to shred stuff, leaving me in blissful solitude with the radio. That's the kind of quiet day I like. *nods*
Afternoon has been pretty good too:
-->Another five rounds on the beanbag game -- Dad won the first two games, I won the third, Mom won the fourth, and I won the fifth (mostly because Dad flubbed one of his last throws). So that was nice. :P
-->Another delightful episode of Taskmaster with supper -- the contestants in this series tend to be kind of feral, which is hilarious. XD Particularly James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert -- poor Alex gets SO much shit from Rhod, it's amazing. XD
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has discovered via the news that the paintings she wrecked belonged to Therese, and is now kind of freaking out about it. And just when she's gathered her wits enough to head over to the Asylum and face the music, she's suddenly confronted with a furious Marian, who's just heard Muddy's message to her. (Yes, this doesn't happen in the game, but I'm not sticking EXACTLY to what happens in the game.) AKA this night isn't starting out how Alice would like. But it'll get better as it goes on! Not without some blood and tears, but it will.

A) This one was actually for writing purposes – a video with all the dialogue of the newscaster in Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines! As implied above, I wanted my latest chapter to start with the news report he gives on "Slashterpiece" (the "you didn't kill Chunk" version), and ended up listening to the whole thing as I hadn't heard every report he gives in-game. (Also because it took the video a while to GET to "Slashterpiece" -- it wasn't going in order when it came to all the reports.) Ended up throwing in his report on the Elizabeth Dane being towed into port into the opening too, because why the hell not? Alice is gonna end up on the ship in a few chapters anyway.
B) Then it was over to James and the latest episode of "Rags To Redevelopment!" As promised, it was a dumpster-diving and renovation episode – though James got a little caught up in trying to make the outside of the house look good over the inside. XD To be fair, Ambrose doesn't have much of a kitchen to play around with, and the whole "pile of shipping containers" motif makes for some weird spaces. . . Also, James ended up demonstrating the "Better BuildBuy" mod from Twisted Mexi, which looks pretty cool – you can expand the rows of stuff to see more in one go, hide Maxis items so you can just see custom content, and it even has specific tags for debug and live edit objects! With different recolors combined into one item, and the ability to clone certain other items! So life is that little bit better now. . . Might end up picking that one up myself, if only to make it a bit easier to comb through my vast amounts of CC. . .
C) Then I indulged in a bit of Call Me Kevin as he attempted to see how many Bitlife Bitlives he could get through in one episode. Turns out, the people he made to die early turned out to be much better at making other people die early. One of his people murdered a couple of their siblings in rumbles, and then shanked their way through prison before being killed; another killed all their bullies in grade school! ONE died at three years old after multiple fights with a sibling, but the most epic life was the one who made it to forty-six – killed three people, hired a hitman to kill their parents (which was done with a dildo and a toilet lid), ended up in prison after attacking someone else, spent twenty-six years there, got out on parole, and promptly died crashing their helicopter learning how to fly. It was – something. XD
D) And finally I watched a quick short about a Mr. Handy just trying to keep his home together after the Great War in Fallout – and what happens to the scavver who tries to steal something from the house. O.O This actually fits in pretty well with a headcanon I have for Victor's version of Codsworth (people HAVE come to Sanctuary before – but Codsworth has always chased them off when they tried to get into the Van Dort place to raid it; it's not until Victor himself comes back and says its okay he lets anyone into the house), and it was quite nicely done, so. . .
-->Caught up on the webcomics, then did my Valice Multiverse queue -- fortunately nothing too painful. Now I just have to answer comments and then go to bed. Still waking up about an hour early -- at least it didn't take me too long to fall asleep last night? *shrug* Just gotta think, one more day, then the weekend. . . Night all!
