At the very least, gaming-wise -- I'd intended for my gaming for today to be going back into Sims 4 and doing more work on the wizard tower renovation, and/or looking stuff up on the Gallery. Instead, the following happened:

-->I decided I REALLY wanted to test out another mod on Fallout 4, and ended up playing a good chunk of that both before and after lunch. The mod I'm testing is that pack of crafting mods I mentioned before -- the ones that allow woodworking, painting, sewing, baking, and tea-making. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely convinced the mod works:

A) There are crafting magazines you have to find before you can make any of the new crafting stations and whatnot. The magazines are supposed to be available both in special locations around the map, and in the Boston Public Library. One of those locations is close to said Library -- Back Street Apparel, for the "sewing" magazine -- so I went there with Curie, fought some raiders, and looked for the magazine. And I found it --

Only to be unable to pick it up. No prompt to read it and when I tried jumping on it for a better look, it vanished. I hoofed it over to the Library to see about the magazines there -- those versions I was able to find and properly pick up, unlocking the various items. So I headed back to Sanctuary to try them out -- and then over to Oberland Station after I got word they needed help defending themselves (raiders, they did a pretty decent job of fending them off).

B) So once that was all sorted, I opened up the workshop, dropped off junk, and started looking for the crafting stations.

Couldn't find them. I only found one thing, a dough-making station in the "Structures/Miscellaneous" section, and that is nonfunctional -- I can click on it to craft, but there's no actual recipes. And I think this is intentional, if I remember the changelog for the baking mod on its own right. I cannot find ANY of the other crafting stations, and I'm not sure where else I can look. :( I went onto the Nexus Mods page for the mod and found someone else was having this problem, so I responded that I was too to back them up. Be a shame if this mod doesn't actually work. . .but then again, I suppose I don't need the extra distractions from the main plot. XD Just thought it would be nice if my Victor could paint as well as play piano. . .

-->I did try to get into Sims this afternoon, around 4:30 -- only for the game to completely hang up and leave me waiting half an hour before I finally gave up and killed it with the task manager. And then turned my computer off and on again for good measure. I'm starting to think at least a few of the issues this stupid thing has are related to how long it's been running on a given day. *grumbles* It worked a lot better after the reboot, and I was able to get into the game, but at that point I didn't dare go and do any renovation for fear that I'd get sucked in and lose too much time before supper. I did at least make over a Femme!Malkavian protagonist I'd downloaded off the Gallery, giving her the custom content outfits I'd downloaded from Satterlly on tumblr (and a few others, just for funsies). Called her Mally Kavian because I am silly and bad with names. XD So it wasn't as much Simming as I was hoping for, but I still managed to double up and have a little fun with the game!

So yeah, gaming didn't work out quite as intended. . .still, I guess I can't complain too much. Not often that I get to play BOTH in one day!

Rest of the Monday was pretty quiet:

-->Caught up at least a little on my YouTube:

A) More out-of-context Call Me Kevin clips, because – well, just because they're funny, and given what the world is like these days, we need as much amusement as possible. ;P This one had clips from videos I haven't actually watched too! So they were truly out of context. Not that I think the context would actually make a difference. . . XD

B) Then it was time for Call Me Kevin himself! Including:

1. Yup, more Among Us! He started the video giggling over his own addiction, so you know it's good. XD Today's twist on the formula – honesty! As in, he told the truth, even as an impostor. Hilariously, this worked out pretty well for him in most instances – mostly because people I guess don't typically believe self-reports. XD He openly admitted to killing one guy, and they voted someone else off! XD Also, he found Jesus – pink, flower-wearing jesus. XD Seriously, the usernames of some of the players are so weird. . .

2. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, in an attempt to figure out what the heck led to Kevin. XD And we got our answer – apes whose mothers are eaten by giant birds, who fall down waterfalls, and who try to fight giant boars with sticks. (Not even a sharpened stick, just a stick.) The lineage may be literal failure (that's what he named it), but the video was most definitely a win. :p

C) Watched a little more of Jon of Many A True Nerd's Fallout 4 Survival playthrough while riding the bike today – he's made it to Concord and is currently helping out Preston Garvey and gang. He's already gotten pretty good at killing insects and mole rats, but raiders? Getting shot by raiders is BAD. He hasn't actually DIED yet, but he's not looking forward to going up against the Deathclaw that pops up during this quest. . .

D) Watched a Paralives trailer to make up for my lack of Simming – apparently zip-lining is going to be a thing in the game? Along with jumping into pools from the rooftop, house rules to remove shoes, and secret doors shaped like bookcases. I still wonder if this thing is WAAAY too ambitious for its britches, but I hope it's not. I'd like the game to succeed.

E) Then, after making muffins and doing some writing, I had just enough time for one GrayStillPlays. We were back in Universe Sandbox 2, with Gray trying to make a habitable version of the Earth whose surface was one millimeter from the Sun. It took a LOT of trying (and a lot of planets that were either devoured, vaporized, or turned into gas giants), but eventually, by screwing with gravity and making a full-on depressed Sun (aka barely any light), he succeeded. Also, Raycon sponsored him again, so he went at their earbuds with a weed whacker. As you do.

-->As mentioned, I did get in a workout on the bike -- 20 minutes with the cooldown. I didn't think I'd get a chance because of how close it was to supper, but my parents encouraged me to go down, so I did a low-intensity thing where I didn't work up any real sweat. Worked out fine!

-->Also mentioned, I did remember to make my muffins this evening -- as usual, took longer than I hoped it would, but at least I have breakfast for the next couple of weeks!

-->And, once more as mentioned, did some writing -- wrapped up the first chapter of "In A World Of His Own" in rather less than a page, but as I writing much later than usual, I decided that it was okay. Besides, I supplemented it with some answers to another character survey I'm doing for my Sole Survivor!Victor and his matching Malkavian!Alice. Every little bit helps!

-->Managed to get all my pictures for this week's Newcrest Adventures update sorted too (another three-and-a-half updater) -- currently putting them into the drafts now!

And cripes, it's 11:30 already?? I gotta wrap this up, make sure my muffins are properly put away, and get to bed. Work again tomorrow, ugh. At least starting on a Tuesday is better than starting on a Monday. . .just gotta get through four days now. And a cleaning Saturday, but that's life. Can't believe it's gonna be OCTOBER next weekend, wow. . . Time is weird this year, that's for sure. Night all!
