Typical Cleaning Saturday

crossover_chickThough I did get a slightly later start than usual on said cleaning, mostly because it took me a bit longer than usual to make my smoothie since my Mom was also cleaning the house today. But I did get it all done by a little after three (after a break for lunch), so, can't complain too much. At least it's done for another couple of weeks!
As for the rest of the day:
-->Played the beanbag game around 4:30; another day where Dad won three, I won one, and Mom won one. So nice and fair. :P Nice day out too -- a bit nip, but only the expected kind for October. Gotta enjoy it while it lasts.
-->Also, my parents took down the old clothesline (Mom's going to get something new once the weather's good enough to hang clothes outside again), and it turns out the original pole was sunk into the ground with a good two and a half feet's worth of cement. They have cut off the pole, turned it upside-down, and are using it as a yard feature. XD Well, why not?

A) No bike today, and it's Sims Saturday anyway, so we started off with Plumbella's review of a Harry Potter mod pack! New aspirations centered around the four houses; new careers that are supposed to be like Hogwarts classes; new traits designating you as certain teachers' apprentices and whatnot! It looks fun, though I'm not entirely sure Plumbella really showed it off to best effect – her choice of Sims to play with was her self Sim, her ideal man Billy, her beloved Snape, and her actual real-life boyfriend RTGame. So the whole thing kind of devolved into making them fight for her love, and giggling over Snape's flirty face. XD (Naturally RTGame ended up making out with SimBella – Plumbella tried to hook Snape and Billy up in the background, but that was a no go.)
B) James Turner finally uploaded another video after one of his long "he was probably coding things for his website again" absences – an eight-sim under-20K starter home! And oh man, did he struggle. XD Poor guy wants the place to be spacious, but also didn't want to use a lot of packs, but also the layout was giving him so much grief, but also he found a way to put in a nice little deck outside. . . Basically there were a lot of ups and downs, and he's not QUITE happy with the finished product. But it IS a functional house, it DOES have plenty of space, and it is, just barely (and partially because he moved in a Sim and accidentally devauled his lights by ten bucks) under 20,000 simoleons. Part of me wants to go and download it just to move the kitchen out of the back room, though. I really think he messed that bit of the layout up.
C) Then, happily, GrayStillPlays uploaded one of his Sims 4 videos today – forcing Ellis Dee to have babies until the game gave up and cried (actually, it looks like he was just randomly generating toddlers after forcing Ellis to go into labor, but shhhh). And oooh boy, did he succeed in this. About fifteen kids in, law and order was falling apart rapidly; by the time he hit one hundred and four, the game was barely running at all. Poor Ellis aged up in the bathroom and just t-posed until she and the rest of the adults evaporated and the game shunted all the children into the void to be adopted. XD Also, we discovered SlenderSatan, a toddler who turned into the WORLD'S GLITCHIEST CHILD. It was terrifying and hilarious. I voted for them to join the family. XD
-->Also played a bit of Sims 4 -- more work on the wizard tower renovation! I'm reasonably well-sorted with the bottom and top levels, but the two in-between could use a little more work. Still trying to figure out how to make the best use of the available space! But it's getting there, and I took some pictures to share on my tumblr, so I'm set for Wednesday, anyway. (And I figured out how to use "move objects on" to balance a soap dispenser on the bathroom sink, which made me happy.)

So yeah, nothing too interesting about today, but that's all right. Mom made more brownies (both classic chocolate and peanut butter chocolate chip), so I'm good. :p Tomorrow -- should be more Fallout 4 from Jon of Many A True Nerd, more Fallout 4 playing from me, and more writing on "Londerland Bloodlines." Oh, and I have to remember to make a 10:04 post because of the date. :P Night all!
