crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)

-->Work included more fun with our online provider (had a call from a donor wondering about their recurring gift, which is under the wrong campaign, so I had to try and fix that, e-mail the provider, then explain it all to my coworkers) and just general stress as I tried to figure out what I needed to do and how to fix things that needed fixing

-->Afternoon game of beanbag toss was cut short by some guys arriving next door to break up some tree limbs and such that had fallen in our neighbor's yard during the last storm, who insisted on talking to us and even coming partially into our yard (admittedly EXTREMELY easy since we have no fence and no clear boundary between their yard and ours, unfortunately) -- I retreated as far as possible because, you know, fucking pandemic and these guys were not wearing masks (and neither were we, as we'd been alone in the backyard). My parents noticed my unease and we ended up packing up the game after a single round (Dad won). They told me afterward that they were staying more than six feet away from the guys and that I panic too much and I "need to live." This after hearing the governor and her main medical advisor going on this afternoon about how you need to wear a mask around anyone you don't live with. . . I don't know. I admit that I'm probably fucking paranoid, but. . .

-->Managed to calm myself down so I didn't cry after that, then went on the bike for a 28-minute ride before supper

-->Made my muffins after supper -- as usual, this was a process that took longer than I hoped it would, but they're made now, so I'm set for a little while longer

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" despite the late hour that I got on the computer -- more of the argument between Therese and Jeannette, with Alice trying to get them to see sense -- and telling them angrily that, if they DID kill their father, or drive him to kill himself, it's nothing to be ashamed of and the bastard deserved it. Took them off guard, I'll tell you that much. Slowly but surely working my way toward a resolution between the sisters!

-->Did just a bit of YouTubing:

A) Another round on the bike means more of Jon's Fallout 4 Survival playthrough! After failing to get the Vault-Tec rep to go anywhere but Sanctuary, Jon took his character Grills Bears (did I ever say that was his name?) out into the world outside of Goodneighbor to continue on his quest! His first stop? The Mass Fusion building, to take out the Gunners camped there (after, uh, getting exploded by a frag mine first) and claim himself a Strength bobblehead! It was a tough climb up the tower (with one Legendary Gunner to start things off, even), but he survived and fought them all off! He even managed to take out the commander in his power armor after noting the guy did not have a helmet and sniping his head. It was very impressive. :) After dropping some quick saves, he continued on, skirting around all the super-mutant encampments he could, and accidentally angering some mole rats (one of whom followed him onto a ROOF). He also found one of the locations for the Silver Shroud quest, sans enemies because they haven't spawned in yet, and located the Shamrock Taphouse, where Drinkin' Buddy the brewery Protectron lives (he's got the quest to bring him back to the Hotel Rexford). He's working his way through the enemies surrounding that place – hopefully we will get to see a terrible joke-spouting walking beer-bot next time! XD

B) Then over to Call Me Kevin for I Am Alive, a terrible game from 2012 which had a trailer that promised so much more than it delivered. I have no idea what the plot of the game is, beyond "post-apocalyptic, possibly because of earthquakes," but it has some interesting ideas – like threatening NPCs who might hurt you with your empty gun so they'll leave you alone. Just be sure they don't clock that it's empty. . . Execution-wise, though. . .well, there's a reason Kevin's playing it. It's bad in such a good way. XD Special mention must be given to the way the guy drops when he runs out of stamina over a high climb – he just essentially does a T-pose variant and falls like a rock. XD Not a good way to stay alive!

-->Just did the Victor Luvs Alice post for tomorrow (updates on how "In A World Of His Own" is coming), and seeing if I can get at least a few of the asks waiting on Valice Multiverse queued up before bed.

And then, well, bed. We'll see how tomorrow goes. Night all.
