Yeah, late start with this post today, but that's mostly because I just did a restart and was reading TV Tropes on my iPad while I restarted, so. . . But yeah, somewhat quieter day at work (though I did have to bring my coworkers up to speed on some of what taking credit card stuff over the phone entails, which -- yeah, this could get interesting), and afternoon was nothing to sneeze at:

-->Despite the rain, wasn't held up too much by traffic -- getting onto the highway was a pain, but the main drag was actually pretty good, so. . .

-->Did a round on the treadmill for workout times -- went pretty well, except for needing to stop once to retie my sneaker laces just under halfway through *shrug* Still, good workout, even if I DEFINITELY needed a shower afterwards

-->Watched the second half of the two-part "Champion of Champions" special for Taskmaster -- they picked on Josh for a "special" task again XD Also, Katherine Ryan has a REALLY interesting definition of "making a mess," in that -- let's just say she's only too happy to try and start family drama if she thinks that'll get her a win in a task. O.o Cripes, woman.

-->Wrote some more on "In A World Of His Own" -- the Grand High Wizard has been introduced, and they're heading up to the Magical Menagerie in the tower! Because Victor and I both like magical animals, that's why. :p I feel like I'm rushing through these chapters a bit, but I keep reminding myself that a) this is the first draft, getting something down is more important than anything else at this stage, and b) it's 2020, be grateful for ANYTHING productive/creative I can do. XD

-->Watched the YouTubes (and have realized that the main reason my Watch Later kept filling up like it did was me hoarding Call Me Kevin and GrayStillPlays videos before -- there's a decent amount in there now, but there would be way more if I wasn't now subscribed to those two):

A) On the treadmill this time, but that just meant getting to watch a LONGER chunk of Jon's Fallout 4 Survival playthrough! I was actually wrong last time – while he'd sighted the Taphouse, he'd actually ended up in one of the buildings that connects to the fallen skybridge by Goodneighbor – aka that place where I ended up last playsession, had to fight some Super Mutants, and ended up JUMPING into Goodneighbor. Jon was not best pleased to have fought his way through Super Mutants and Gunners to find that he'd basically come around in a huge circle. XD He snuck his way down and off the bridge via one of the offramps that led to ground, but that left him in a different pickle – namely, he was in a part of Boston he was unfamiliar with, meaning he had no idea where the nearest bed where he could sleep, and thus save, was. His adventures ending episode 8 and going into episode 9 in trying to find a place where he could bunk down included:

1. Stumbling across the camp of Dando and his two dogs, and unwisely picking a fight – he survived, but DAMN it seemed like a near thing

2. Running across a Legendary Protectron and fighting Mr. Handys inside the building it was guarding – and slowly backing away from a terrifying Sentry bot in the back room

3. Coming across a Radscorpion near that building, again unwisely picking a fight, running back to the Protectron to get its help – and running into the Preston Garvey Impersonator random encounter, leading to him being extremely and hilariously confused as he tried to figure out what the hell Preston was doing there. (Once the scorpion was taken care of, he did twig on that it wasn't Preston, and ended up shooting the guy – when said guy didn't drop a Synth component, he then claimed Preston was a Synth, which is interesting fanfic fuel if nothing else)

4. And then, right at the start of episode 9, he ran into ANOTHER Radscorpion and had to run back to the Protectron for help XD

5. Getting stuck briefly between Raiders and Mirelurks when he actually found the Taphouse he was aiming for – managed to take out the Raiders, but declined to go into the Taphouse for fear it didn't have a bed

6. Realizing he was near the Old North Church and the Railroad, so he went down there to meet them, remembering they have beds and a doctor (as by this point he'd developed insomnia) – only to discover too late that they won't let you into their base right away; you have to complete "Tradecraft" with Deacon first to earn your way in. Cue him being salty and saying he's glad he's going Brotherhood this time

7. Coming across Cabot House, which was his ultimate aim to start the quests to get the Charisma bobblehead – but after gaining entrance to the house and talking to Jack Cabot, he discovered there are no beds available for him to use in the house! The only one that isn't behind lock and key is owned, and cannot be used

8. Finally making it to Bunker Hill, which was nearby, and nearly weeping in joy when he was able to rent a bed there for three hours XD

So yes, save dropped, poor bastard. He collected some goodies from the settlement, then headed out to go ahead and clear out Taffington Boathouse because why not at this point. Left him having a barney with some Raider Psychos close by. I have to say, while I do love these videos, it does make it a little harder to walk when you're cracking up laughing at the same time. XD

B) Then to start off the evening, it was time for Fun With Shorts and "Senses Of Man Part 2!" Don't remember what happened in Part 1? Don't worry, the short comes with a summary. Including the things that it said literally six minutes ago. XD Short, but sweet – especially with Josh's riffing. XD

C) Then it was time for Call Me Kevin and more Among Us! The gimmick – he can't say names, colors, or places when in meetings. Yeaaah, there was a reason he named his character "Struggling" this time. XD Weirdly enough, though, his self-imposed restrictions weren't as much of a problem as you might think! . . .Mostly because he kept getting killed during the earliest parts of the video. XD But he did manage to successfully get an impostor going by "Alexa" voted off by reminding everyone of the home assistant speaker. And then found some tunes when he told his own Alexa "sucks to be you!" (Turns out it's the name of a song. Kevin rather liked it.) XD

D) And then onto Gray for Prison Simulator! It's only a demo, right now, but Gray had plenty of fun as the Worst Prison Guard Ever. He made a gaggle of clones with funny names (like Depressed MrClean) for his prisoners, with one standout (Florida Man, of course), assigned them all gangs, and then went around beating everyone he could possibly beat. Including his fellow guards. And then he found out how to steal drugs from the packages his prisoners were receiving. And how to start fights among his fellow guards. And how to lure his fellow guards into the cells so he could lock THEM up. It was a very productive episode, is what I'm saying. XD And he even rated a "not bad, not bad!" when he got his paycheck (heftily supplemented by bribes, of course). So yeah – make of that what you will. XD

-->And the rest of the evening I've been doing the usual round of catch-up and whatnot -- and now that I've done the restart and my computer should be good until I head to bed, I can get going on the last of my comments and my queueing. That should take me to 1:30, 2:00 easy.

Anyway -- best to get going on all of that. Tomorrow, room clean suspended as I have a dentist appointment at 12:15 PM and I don't want to juggle both things. (Also, this pushes my schedule back a week, meaning Halloween won't be a cleaning Saturday.) Only other things of note will be to catch up on Sims videos, play some Sims 4 myself, and take a look at what I might want in a computer so I can make some choices regarding my new machine. Should be a manageable list. Night all!
