crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
Where Marty finally comes back home to -- well, not the original 1985. But the second one, the one where his family is happier and healthier, which is good enough. And Doc shows up in the awesome Jules Verne train, which just needs more love in general.

Unfortunately, it hasn't been a great day, and -- as per usual -- I'm behind, so let me just try and give you a quick sum-up:

-->Work involved me being interrupted on a regular basis from the project I was trying to work on, taking calls that didn't make any sense and having to deal with people getting closer than I'd like to my space. . .also, running out of paper towels, ugh. . .

-->Got home a bit later than normal due to leaving later than normal (trying to clean my area, and had to get rid of something someone stuck on the car) -- that plus cloudy weather and us getting rather involved in our new puzzle meant we did the beanbag game late and only did three rounds. Dad won the first two games, but I managed to pull a win out in the third with a lucky eight, so yay. Poor Mom only got seconds again (though one of them was VERY close -- just got a point ahead of me!)

-->Did twenty-three minutes on the bike, then spent the rest of the time before supper helping Dad with the puzzle (Mom had said it would be like ten minutes until supper was ready. . .it was rather more than that)

-->Watched a bit of YouTube:

A) Back on the bike today, but that still means more of Jon's Fallout 4 Survival playthrough! He and Deacon finished up their trek through the old Railroad headquarters under Slocum Joe's, the Switchboard, with Grills Bears just massacring synths with a combination of molotovs and his 10mm pistol. Deacon gave him Deliverer (from – a few rooms away, Jon was looting elsewhere and got a kick out of the gun just suddenly appearing on his screen), which is a lovely light little weapon that will serve him well in the future, and they blasted their way through the remaining enemies, with Jon very narrowly avoiding stepping on a cryo mine.

And then he stepped on a regular mine and JUST BARELY survived. XD Ah well. Deacon got sent back to the Old North Church, and Grills continued on his way south, dropping a save at Beantown Brewery before reporting his success at Taffington Boathouse to Oberland Station, gaining some caps and them on the side of the Minutemen. (He also saved some farmers from raiders on the bridge along the way, but since that didn't result in any caps, he wasn't happy about it.) I left him back in Cambridge Police Station to pick up his stuff, having encountered the same amusing weirdness I had of Danse still giving his speech despite it being some time after Arcjet. XD Also, Good Fallout 4 Tip of the Day: pick up guns even if you don't need them, as your character will automatically take the ammo out of them. Jon got a RIDICULOUS amount of fusion cells for Righteous Authority by taking all the Institute Pistols off the synths he killed, and then dropping the actual guns later.

B) And this evening was all about catching up on GrayStillPlays:

1. More Solar Smash, as Gray continues his attempts to create Flat Earths despite terrible FPS drops and the game generally hating him. His trick for creating ones that people can live on? Get Cthulhu to dump victims on the smoking disk of lava from his pocket dimension. XD Gray basically froze the game twice doing this (once on a regular Earth, once on the hollow Borg Sphere, which he made into a Funion ring), but he did get people back on his terrible terrible earths! So can't argue with results.

2. More Skater XL, as Gray discovers how to edit the game (or possibly the mod he uses with the game) files to add as many zeroes as he likes to flip speed, pump force, and gravity. The results kind of have to be seen to be believed. XD I mean, the skateboard flipping at the speed of light is amazing enough, but when you see her limbs literally turn into noodles. . .not to mention the ending bit where she proves she can LEVITATE in terrifyingly high gravity. . .it's amazing, I love it.

3. But not as much as I love more Happy Wheels! Ooooh, we had some wacky ones today – a "bottle run" that was basically just an excuse to harpoon Gray five million times (and which Gray won by ACCIDENT when he inadvertently flung himself through the boosters in just the right way), a rope swing combined with a jet fall (if you lose your arm, send it ahead to trigger the jets), a horrible pogo-jump level full of spikes and pendulums and heat-seeking mines (Gray had to WORK for this one), and a level where you basically had to handle every hazard Happy Wheels can throw at you (Gray responded by throwing things back – specifically, the corpses of his enemies). As usual, it was amazing and I love it. :)

-->Struggled with getting a link to the page on the computer I want to my parents (neither of my e-mail programs are working correctly -- fortunately I was able to text it to my Mom via my iPad)

-->And then, after doing that and getting this set up, dove right into getting my queues on VictorLuvsAlice and Valice Multiverse sorted. No "official" writing today, sadly, because of the whole "didn't get on the computer until just after 8 PM" thing (since we ate at seven and I took my shower right after). But I skipped a day on "In A World Of His Own" last week, so skipping a "Londerland Bloodlines" day feels like it balances things out. And hey, the queues are done, so can't argue with results.

And now it's time to see how many of my comments I can manage before I need to head to bed. *sigh* Just two more days to go at work, at least. . .we'll see what I manage to get done in that time. Night all.
