Work was arguably a little better -- I was able to get more done with that project of bad addresses I'm working on -- but we're still having issues with credit card stuff, and listening to the governor going on about how RI cases are up and how we may have to roll back our reopening some wasn't exactly great. (425 new cases today, and apparently we've been averaging at least 400 new cases a day for past few days. . .) I mean, you guys know me, I'd rather be home, but I don't ACTUALLY WANT a second wave. . .ugh. This year has been such a shitshow. . .

Anyway. quick wrap-up of my afternoon while I work to catch up on the last couple of things I need to do:

-->Computer should be happening sometime next week, with my parents planning on ordering it once we confirm a few things (like warranties and whatnot), so that's cool. :) They want to get it to me sooner rather than later, which is fine by me. Planning on keeping the laptop as sort of "emergency backup" -- good to haves a computer with a battery in an emergency!

-->Did another bike ride for my exercise, yay~

-->Watched some YouTubes:

A) A stop in Sims 4 land to start off – discovered on SimsVIP that the gameplay trailer for Snowy Escape had dropped! Nothing too different from the original trailer, at least in terms of what it was showing off, but we got a quick look at the "Lifestyles" screen, and how emotion control works when you "find your Zen." Also, the "hero" Sim, a girl, officially has a girlfriend as the "love of her life," so that's nice, yay inclusivity. However, I'm most excited about the news from ScreenRant (looking at a preview of the game) that the next patch will allow vacationing in any world! Guess who's going to turn Sulani into a vacation spot. . . Also, apparently Lifestyles are exclusive to the pack, but Sentiments might be a patch update? Hmmm. . .

B) Another round on the bike, another jaunt through Jon's Fallout 4 Survival playthrough! After doing a bit of inventory management at the Cambridge police station, Grills Bears picked up a couple of small quests from Scribe Haylen and Knight Rhys to prove his loyalty to the Brotherhood. Haylen wanted him to retrieve a bit of tech from a relatively nearby pond, while Rhys wanted him to clear out College Square of its ghouls. Grills was up for both missions, but stopped by first at Hangman's Alley (since it was on the way) to drop a save, see if his settlers had arrived (it took them until after he'd slept, but they and their junk did show!), and do some gun modding now that he has all the stuff for it (mainly on Righteous Authority – or the "Slightly Excited Pistol," as he renamed it XD – but the Deliverer got a few upgrades too). Episode 12 ended there, and episode 13 started with him building a few more containers to hold stuff before heading out to do his Brotherhood missions and maybe even join up with the main plot again! Getting the tech for Haylen was relatively simple, though it took two tries because he died thanks to lightly brushing up against a car (and then died again to HIS OWN BED – Bethesda, seriously). But he did get a short combat shotgun and a Freezing double-barrel shotgun out of it (the second courtesy of a Legendary Bloodbug). I left him having killed most of the ghouls in College Square itself and descending into the subway beneath it to take out the "main" ghoul of the mission. (I've done this myself, though not for the Brotherhood – just wandered in there and found all the ferals one could shake a sniper rifle at. Guess that's an easy way to get Rhys's request done if I ever do any Brotherhood stuff in my main playthrough!)

C) Then it was time for Call Me Kevin, with:

1. More Among Us! We had the "agree with everybody" game, now we have the "disagree with everybody" game! Which – turned out better for Kevin than you might think. He pissed off some people in the early games, but one of them (using a pink astronaut) ended up coming around on him and joining in the shenanigans, along with a brown-astronaut player. The fun they got up to when Pink was an impostor was fantastic, including a bit where Kevin wanted them to vote him out so Pink could win, but Pink decided to just set off the reactor so they could all die together. XD And then Kevin ended up controlling the lobby and screwing up the settings royally, and THEN there was the bit where a player kept accusing Black of being an impostor, seemingly oblivious to the fact that was HIS astronaut skin. . .it was great, is what I'm saying. . . XD

2. And a collection of lockdown-themed games, as Ireland is on the verge of another total lockdown (because, well, second wave). We had the terrible Quarantine Simulator (in which your house is super glitchy and it is possible to die from too much napping – or not enough napping); the very hard Coronavirus Quarantine Simulator (to be fair, Kevin made it harder by not washing his hands correctly, not keeping social distance, and buying nothing but eggs at the grocery store XD); and the cutesy Bright Days In Quarantine (sort of Stardew Valley-ish in graphics, with daily tasks and goals to accomplish to stop yourself from freaking out – easily the most playable of the bunch!). So yeah, if we go into quarantine again, now I am well prepared for it. XD

-->Wrote some more on "In A World Of His Own," finishing off Chapter 3! You know a chapter is good when you get to reference your favorite theme park ride and one of your favorite movies within a page of each other. XD So this story continues on at a good, steady clip -- time to start the Orchestralia section!

-->In a strange turn of events, I am actually ahead on my tumblr queue straight through Saturday! Though I think helping me on that side is I had the Thursday post already drafted, and my Saturday post is a reblog of a favorite song of mine. Still, yay for being ahead on SOMETHING. Now if only I could stop myself getting so freaking distracted in the evenings. . .

Speaking of which, I really need to wrap things up with the comments! Just one more day of work to get through. . . Night all!
