Having The Anxiety (tm)
Nov. 3rd, 2020 11:09 pmBecause, you know, it's Election Night, and that just means extra doses of the stuff to go around! *strained smile* So let's keep this short and simple, why don't we?
-->Work was less stressful today -- still had its moments, but I was also able to have some quieter times, so that helped some. Credit card stuff remains -- well, we'll see when they get back to us.
-->Got sucked into our latest puzzle before dinner, so, uh, no workout today. Whoops. But I suppose a plus of that was not getting sucked into puzzle after dinner, so I had a bit more time for writing. . .
-->Did a bit on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- finished off Chapter 5 and started Chapter 6, with Alice and Tung heading to the warehouse. Decided I'll have Tung give his opinion on all of the clans while they head over there, since it was my plan for him to be a source of information for Alice. It'll be good bonding. :)
-->Had a little YouTube Marathon:
A) Started with a super-short video that may be from the famous Pepe Popo of Kevin's Among Us videos! Just a little thing showing that, if he's the real deal, he misses him too. I rather hope the game gets a friends system sooner rather than later – I suspect Kevin is going to end up SWAMPED with requests. XD
B) Then the rest of the night was for GrayStillPlays:
1. More Happy Wheels! Full of legendary bottle throws (you had to get a bottle through a tiny gap into a BOX – and Gray managed it!), and trick multistage horror levels designed to destroy Gray's sanity (a spike fall becomes a jet fall mixed with a ball fall! A harpoon run (that starts with tearing your kids head off) becomes a bottle run thanks to a fake finish line! The level called "Agony" lives up to its name!). It's all so delightful and I laugh SO HARD at these. Also, thanks to a sponsorship, we got to watch as Gray tried and failed to destroy his phone with a woodworking saw. XD
2. Street Diver, a game all about maiming people by making them backflip off streetlights. It's not technically one of those "break all the bones in this stickman" games (it has better graphics for one), but it's a close cousin! Gray took a variety of characters (including Oopsy the doctor and Sarah Croft the "it's not copyright infringement if it's a crossover!") on a journey through regular streets, an old west town, an old Nordic village, and suburbia to leap off things, bump their heads, shatter their spines, and – eventually – stick the landing. Gray was equal parts thrilled and suffering – some of those targets were hard, you know! Especially when the game bugged out because physics. XD Once he shot himself straight through the floor and into the outer depths. It was nice. :D
3. More Sims 4! Time to run another experiment – what happens when you put fifty toddlers into a mansion with the Man family, to be raised with everything they could ever need, and stick another fifty into a giant "dog pen" outside with dog beds, bushes for peeing in, peanut butter sandwiches for food, and a shark pool? If you said "the kids inside suffer more because they're with the Man family," you'd be right! XD I mean, nobody did WELL, exactly, but the first kids to be taken away were from inside the house, and after the mass die-offs in the teen years, the teenagers outside had a small numerical lead. Eventually, the numbers were whittled down, and the final survivors? Three kids outside! This is what a GrayStillPlays episode does to a Sim – it makes them HARD. Or kills them in a mass death explosion, either one.
4. Aaand MORE HAPPY WHEELS! Yes, I am blessed with TWO episodes during my desperate catch-up on my subscriptions. XD Started out with a bottle flip where Gray, after mysteriously surviving getting blown up, started bottle flipping HIMSELF to get the best flips, and proceeded into various realms of madness from there. A bottle run where you have to be REALLY QUICK to get across the falling bottles; a series of jet walls where you must sacrifice your arms for any chance of winning; a pogo jump where you have one chance to avoid death by harpoon and land mine – all these and more in the GrayStillPlays Happy Wheels experience! :D
-->Caught up on webcomics, then caught up on the Valice Multiverse queue, which fortunately wasn't overwhelming
And now it's time to answer a final comment, finish up a quick draft of a post idea I had for Thursday, and head to bed. And try not to be too anxious about things. We'll see what tomorrow brings. . .night all.
