Yes, for today is the last day we see in the main BTTF canon -- with the DeLorean fixed up with 1955 parts, Marty departs today at about 10:30 in the morning for 1885 to save the older version of his best friend. *sigh* 2020 has been a shitty anniversary year for BTTF, but I am glad I caught the dates and watched the movies again. It's made things just a tiny bit better overall.

Anyway, here is my day in a nutshell for you all:

-->Work was quiet, but I spent my morning trying to figure out things related to our credit card provider's various reports, which was its own brand of confusing and frustrating, sooo. . .I just wish they'd get their act together!

-->Came home to a new puzzle about classic toys -- helped Mom build the better part of a Speak-N-Spell

-->Got on the bike for a thirty-minute ride (including the cooldown), w000~ My butt does not hate me YET, but I am expecting it to XD

-->Got in a bit of the YouTubes:

A) Back to my exercise routine, back to Jon’s Fallout 4 Survival Playthrough! Started episode 18, which is Jon doing “The Lost Patrol” questline while wandering around and doing all sorts of other quests to get lots of XP and slowly make his way back north to the Insane Asylum to finish off the Cabot House stuff! By the time my bike ride was done, he’d:

1. Met back up with Nick and Piper and finished “Reunions” for that XP gain, and picked up the beginning of what will start the Far Harbor quests from Ellie

2. Killed Swan the Behemoth living in the lake with a couple of careful shots from his Slightly Excited Pistol – took a bunch of rads getting the goodies, but that was still impressive!

3. Hit up Goodneighbor, finished the “Drinkin’ Buddy” quest (as he’d picked up the robot and sent it over to the Rexford during a previous wander) and did the “Dangerous Minds” quest, poking through Kellogg’s memories, over at the Memory Den

4. Took a vertibird over to Taffington Boathouse and sent another settler off to Hangman’s Alley before disposing of Mary Sutton’s corpse and taking a snooze

5. Headed over to Malden and took care of the ghouls there before honing in on the first distress signal and dead recon team member

6. Made his way over to the National Guard Training Yard to kill the ghouls THERE and grab the next set of stuff from the next corpse

Not too shabby, right? Now, of course, he has to deal with the Super Mutants at the satellite array nearby. . .hopefully he does better than I did with the bastards! Though he has picked up a couple of nice bits of legendary kit, so that should help!

B) Then, in the interest of catching up, it was time for Fun With Shorts – specifically, a Lone Ranger cartoon! Today’s offering had a pair of criminals using a giant underground drilling machine to rob banks, with only the Lone Ranger, Tonto, and some truly amazing abuses of physics to stop them! XD Ah, I love these things – they’re always so goofy. And it’s great when they pull out the proto-steampunk/cowpunk. Just adds that extra bit of “weird” to the proceedings. XD

C) Also in the interest of catching up, had a couple of videos from James Turner to watch:

1. The older one, which concentrated on showing off using the platform tool for amazing things – including functional bunk beds! Yeah, somebody figured out how to use platforms and MoveObjects On to make the beds float above each other, then you just add some fake columns, and turn the platform into a usable space! :D James also demonstrated a trick for shallower basement window wells (basically fill a gap in the ground with platform, almost all the way to the top), how to make a “circle house” (curved platforms totally surrounding a square room – you have to use a basement passage and stairs or a ladder to get in, mind), and finished off by partially recreating the exterior of an old Sims 3 build of his where he used platforms to make the roof he’d done in that game with the “constrained floor elevation” cheat. Also he discovered that if you try to move between levels in the “free cam” mode, you will fall through the world. Oops. *sigh* This game. . .

2. The newer one, where James decided to try and make a more functional “circle house” with those curved platforms! It ended up being a circle and a bit house, as his interior space within the curved platforms was VERY constrained – he made it a kitchen on the lower level, and a living space on the upper level, then put the stairs, bedroom, and bathrooms in separate sections. And then demonstrated that it would be a bitch to play, sadly, because when walls go down, platforms don’t. So you can barely see into the circle bit. >.< But it does look cool, and James put a lot of love into it. And he happily used the opportunity to gush about how he likes pretty much all the new build/buy objects in Snowy Escape – except the kitchen counters. The shelves aren’t cluttered enough, and there’s no matching cabinets. Sims 4 when will our kitchens come back from the war. :p But yeah, he’s thriving with these new build/buy mode options, which makes me eager to see what else he’s going to use them for in the future!

-->Took a moment to turn the glowy bits on my computer and keyboard purple instead of the standard blue :p (Tried to do the same for my mouse, but it didn't cooperate, ah well)

-->Did some writing on "In A World Of His Own" -- Victor and Alice have listened to a concert featuring some music Victor was working on, and accidentally startled the Conductor right off the stage with some applause afterward. XD I plan for this chapter to end with Victor getting the Awful Orphica, since it makes sense for him to pick it up in this land -- maybe I can have something attack them? But what, though. . .

-->JUST finished doing all my pictures from TWO WEEKS AGO for my latest Newcrest Adventures update -- forty pictures for a day when nothing much even happened! What the hell. . . But that's how I get when I'm with Victor and Alice, I suppose. Dunno if I'll have the time to slap up quick "here are the pictures and some placeholder text" posts in the drafts, but I'll see what I can do before bed.

-->And now, with videos watched, comics caught up on, and pictures and story sorted, I should really answer my one DW comment and hit the sack. Again, barring misadventure, this is a five-day work week, and I need to do a little better with my sleep -- woke up a little before six this morning! Though luckily I managed to get back to sleep. . .hopefully won't have a repeat tomorrow morning, however! *fingers crossed* G'night!
