Though I remain very grumpy at work -- mainly due to interruptions meaning late lunches and the like. Seems someone always needs me for something, or there's something else I have to catch up on. . .life, what can you do. I just wish I didn't have the "I don't want to be out in a pandemic for any reason" stress on top of the normal work stress. I'm really hoping that, by the end of summer, we MIGHT have a chance of things being a little more normal again. I don't want to expect too much, but -- a state of affairs that makes me less grouchy whenever someone is in "my space" would be nice.

As it stands, I survived another work day, and completed my post-work to-do list:

1. Get in a workout: Check! More bike time, and more of episode 37 of Jon’s Fallout 4 Survival Playthrough! Grills finished fitting up Codsworth to the mission on the Mechanist’s headquarters – basically replacing two of his eyes with automatic Gatling lasers that pack a punch and giving him a red paint job (to hide the blood, I presume XD). After a good night’s sleep and a test of Codsworth’s new weaponry on some unfortunate raiders and junkbots nearby, the pair flew off to Boston Airport (the nearest location to the Mechanist’s lair), dropped a save, then wandered on in! So far, they’ve fought their way pretty easily through all the Mechanist has to throw at them – the worst damage Jon’s taken so far is from a turret that he missed despite the fact it was literally RIGHT NEXT TO HIM. XD But yeah, grenades and Jon’s “Really Excited Pistol” (the Instigating laser weapon, which does double damage if a target is at full health), combined with Codworth’s impressive new arms, have been tearing through junkbots, swarmbots, and tankbots alike. They’re currently looting the prison section, where the robobrain project was first born, with Jon considering an Instigating Radium Rifle off a legendary ghoul. I’m looking forward to the actual fight against the Mechanist and their robots. :D And a special shoutout to whoever designed the doors into the lair in the first place – they remind me so much of the MST3K ones into and out of the theater, it’s great. :D

2. Keep up with YouTube subscriptions: Check! Today’s offerings:

A) With Call Me Kevin, we’re into the second episode of Rust! Kevin woke up dead. XD No, seriously, someone killed him while he was logged out, and he lost his base (which was downgraded to wood). A deeply annoyed Kevin promptly took it over again with the help of the toys he got when he respawned (the game is dropping presents right at the moment with useful things) – a snowball launcher and a nice machete! Though what he really needed was a chest with stuff in it to keep the base from decaying, apparently. . .at any rate, he got nicely set up again, murdered some chickens, found himself a stray horse to ride, then unwisely got into the middle of a fight between another server member (he thought; according to the comments that was a legit NPC) and a newbie, Tom. Poor Kevin got killed trying to defend Tom – but when he respawned, Tom and his buddy WeirdDude were at his corpse, and only too happy to give back his stuff! Kevin, cheered by finding someone friendly, let them ride his horse, then took them to see his house and gave them some tips about the nearby caves. Tom thanked him and went off to other adventures (did I mention Tom talked like a medieval knight?), later telling Kevin he was felled by a boar. XD Kevin focused mostly on more base-building stuff, though he did wander out to kill a boar (and nearly get killed by another player). The house is all stone again now, has a nice furnace and a good fire for cooking pork – plus a stocking for holding the pork. XD Also Kevin’s avatar has clothes now – pants and a candle hat. Because fashion, that’s why. XD This is a fun new game for him to play, and I hope he does more. Be tempted to play myself if it wasn’t forced multiplayer. . .

B) With GrayStillPlays, we had more Happy Wheels! Naturally started with a bottle flip – with JETS that you had to get past for certain areas, like Win, God of Holes, and GrayStillPlays. Naturally Gray wasn’t happy until he got all three. We also got a very hard ball throw (with the ability to lock the win after unlocking it XD), some very long bottle runs (Gray really struggled with one that didn’t have much in the way of boosts), a truly impossible spike fall (as in the bastard put an invisible floor at the bottom, to Gray’s chagrin), and a level based on one of Gray’s own thumbnails (pogo man having to jump over a bunch of harpoons – actually quite hard! And it looked like the creator was gonna cheese him out with a fake finish line, but fortunately they was nice and included a “click here to win” spot). All very good stuff! XD

C) Bonus video uploaded by OXBox today – “7 New Games for 2021 You Didn't Know You Need in Your Life!” Smaller titles that are coming out this year that one might not have heard about. Includes such things as Back 4 Blood (basically “the people behind the Left 4 Dead series got tired of waiting for Valve and made their own not-sequel”), a Werewolf: The Apocalypse game (because the World of Darkness isn’t ALL vampires, and who doesn’t want to be a cool ecoterrorist werewolf?), and Psychonauts 2 (announced back in 2015, may actually make it out of development hell this year!). So that’s all good to know, I suppose. :)

3. Write on “Londerland Bloodines”: Check! Alice got past that one guard with a quick hit of Dementation (making his buddies think he took the good drugs before going on duty), and the warehouse has blown up! And now we are into one of my favorite bits – meeting Beckett! Gangrel archaeologist and anthropologist, snarky bastard, and best vampire. XD This is gonna be fun.

Additionally, I:

-->Helped on our latest puzzle (trying to make a habit of doing that before working out so I'm not distracted by it later) -- it's coming along!

-->Got my Newcrest Adventures posts sorted on Victor Luvs Alice(yaaay)

-->Just finished up my queue for The Valice Multiverse (double yaaay)

-->Am being severely tempted by another Fallout 4 mod (it's additional workshop stuff. . .Vic, you like the settlement building, sure, but do you really do THAT much of it. . .)

Well, fortunately I can't be distracted by the mod for much longer -- gotta take care of my DW comment, then hit the sheets! Hump day tomorrow -- at least the week isn't dragging on too badly! And if I can keep up on the to-do list, I'll even have some extra time this weekend for gaming or watching new videos or something. *nods* So let's get this sorted and try and get some proper sleep. Night all!
