Simming It Up

Decided today to play Sims while everyone was offline. I needed some pics of the girls for my biographies, so I decided to play the Lloyds for a day. Josie was up meditating while Gypsy slept and Mystie painted. I got Mystie's pic shortly before Josie's carpool. She left for work in a great mood. I then had Gypsy take a bath, got her pic, and made her clean everything while Mystie had breakfast and earned a cooking point. Gypsy wanted to learn how to make omlettes, so I did that before her carpool showed up. Mysteria played with the tub for a bit, then I had her invite Doc over to fulfill some wants. She chatted with a girl named Renee beforehand, then set about making the love thing with Doc. :D

She got her way up into platinum, so I had her study some mechanical skill for her job.
Josie came home, greeted and chatted with a passing Kendal, and posed for my pic. Mystie headed for bed while Josie greened. Gypsy came home after Mystie left for work, and tried making friends with Olive Specter over the phone. No go. Josie called her new friend River and upped things between them. Gypsy learned how to make pork chops, then they went to bed. Mystie came home, did a bit of greening, and went to bed too. I also rearranged their house a little, putting the piano in the living room and the chess set in the bedroom.
Then I went over to the Browns. Everyone woke up having to use the bathroom or the tub. So the first thing I did was direct some funds into a second bathroom -- not as fancy as the first one, but it does the job. Marty used the first while Doc and George used the second and Lorraine made pancakes for everyone. Doc and Lorraine made best friends through a joke, which was nice. George of course was pleased by this and filfulled some flirting wants with Lorraine. Interesting thing, though -- Marty, of course, was embarrassed by his parents' blantant display of affection -- but so was Doc!
-M: Wha?-
-VM: O.o-
-M2: Why should HE be embarrassed? Not his parents.-
-VD: *puzzled* That means he's you, Doc. The whole system of sharing feelings.-
-D: So what am I doing with your girlfriend?-
I'm making the rounds, remember? You'll be four Docs in one. Anyway, Clara ended up calling for Doc, and they had a nice little chat while Marty and Lorraine made best friends in the bathroom. George tuned the piano, and Lorraine pounded out a tune before heading for work. George called up Clara, got their friendship a little higher, then checked the fridge. They were almost out of food, so after George had a burger, I sent him off to buy some food. He played some MYSHUNO before returning.
Back at home, Doc's wants had been kinda "impossible" before -- he was in low aspiration, and he wanted to earn skill points. Luckily, George's trip changed them to Mysteria wants, so I had her over. Marty, who'd taken a nap, woke up with the want to have 30 best friends. *snrrk*
-M: You gotta be kidding me, right?-
It's one of the truly impossible wants. As you guys already have 15 friends, I think we'll ignore that. George and Marty bonded while Doc did romantic stuff with Mystie -- even making out, which pushed him into platinum. George sent her on her way while Doc headed to bed. The rest of the family ate chef's salad and got some sleep too. Doc woke up for a bladder emergency while Lorraine worked with a thinking cap on her creativity skill. I had Doc gank the other one and get a Charisma point. Lorraine's creativity is now maxed, meaning the next time she goes to work, she's almost certain to get a promotion. Doc got his Charisma skill, and I sent George out to stargaze with the new big telescope. I want either him or Doc abducted -- preferably George.
-VD2: Why George?-
I want a baby, and an alien one just seems cool. I've got the name -- Darth.
-D: *snicker* What if it's a girl?-
Dartha? *wholescale laughter* Okay, Leia.
-OD: Are you going to make Dr. Octopus in there?-
Probably, and I have ideas for a Chris Lloyd Odd Couple -- Henry Sikorsky and Jim Ignatowski. For the ignorant, Henry is from The Dream Team, is an utter neat freak, likes to pretend he's a doctor, is on the arrogant side, and is clinically insane. Jim is from "Taxi," is slovenly, a drug addict (former or current I don't know), very friendly to everyone, and is brain-fried. :D I can't wait to see the fireworks.

Reverend Jim and Henry? Oh, that is so funny! Those Sims are going to end up killing each other!

Reverend Jim wasn't always a drug addict. In fact, he was a dean's list Ivy League student until he sampled his roommate's "special brownies" one night. I don't think he did drugs while he was working for the taxi service, but he didn't have to. He had fried most of his brain cells by then, anyway.

At least, I think he was dean's list and Ivy League. I haven't seen that episode in a long time. I do remember him as a smart, preppy, straight-laced college student, though.

It was Harvard, and that's Ivy League. Dunno about Dean's list. That was one of my favorite episodes. Jim was cute in the regular series, but he was "Teh Sex" in that episode. :D

LOL! I haven't seen the ep since it ran on Nick at Nite while I was in college. I love the part where he bites into the brownie and his face instantly morphs into that stoned look. From one bite. Too funny!

In another episode, the one where Jim goes home to see his family in Boston, there's a reference that Jim got straight A's his first semester at Harvard, but went downhill in his second semester (probably the semester he took the brownies and became an addict, hehe). And, yeah, the damage was done by the time the Taxi gang met him, and he'd quit drugs by then. I know way too much about this...
