Still had its share of irritating moments at work (more fun with credit cards, of course), but I didn't have to wait an extra hour for my lunch, which definitely helped. And now I'm out for a non-cleaning weekend, hooray. . . Though it looks like more snow is coming in on Sunday. Meh. I only want snow if it keeps me out of work, like this Monday. Now that turned out to be a nice day. . .

Anyway! The report from the front on the Standard Weekday To-Do List:

1. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check! Three videos, three watched –

A) First up, the latest Fun With Shorts – “Clinical Pharmacy Ward Rounds!” It’s not as exciting as it sounds – it’s even less. Mostly because it’s just footage of a bunch of young pharmacists going around the hospital they work at doing pharmaceutical things, with the sound missing half the time. I ASSUME it was supposed to be one of those “jobs for young people!” shorts with narration that wasn’t finished or something. . .had some great Josh riffs, though. He wasn’t expecting much, and he was still disappointed. XD

B) Second, Call Me Kevin and another episode of The Forest! Yay, survival-themed chaos. . .and fetch quests, today! Yes, Kevin went after some specific items so he could get some future goodies – a rebreather in a big watery cave, and a climbing ax in an extra-spooky cave! Along the way, he accidentally created a lake-dwelling rabbit, killed a ton of cannibals (and their malformed spawn), stuck the cannibals’ teeth all over his perfectly-good chopping ax with tree sap (which – made it MORE dangerous somehow?), got lost repeatedly, tossed dynamite at babies, and got overpowered and strung up like a turkey again – right near a convenient escape rope. So yeah, solid episode! I look forward to seeing the future adventures of Kevin The Evil Survivalist and his Tooth Ax.

C) And third, GrayStillPlays another episode of Guts and Glory! More impossible levels, starting with the maze of ultimate pain – so many things that can flatten you in an instant, so little time. Gray had to ditch his usual father/son combo for (what remained of) a two-door sedan to beat it. There was also the cauldron of doom with the girl on the motorbike (which has like a two-inch win area, which Gray SUFFERED in trying to find), the yeeting across the terrible canyon of death, the glitchy spiky parkour course (Gray found himself getting spiked a LOT), and the “three ways to play” death doors, with Gray naturally choosing the hardest and getting sliced and diced before pelted with numerous balls. So, you know, just another day on the job. XD

D) Oh, and tiny bonus video I found in the Recommendeds – someone using teleportation via console to get Nick Valentine to the top of Mass Fusion while doing the Institute quest to get the power source they need from there. Turns out Allie Fillmore, a scientist there and your quest “companion,” will comment on his appearance and say she’s, uh, glad one of the older synth models has been useful to you – Nick shoots right back with “You’d be surprised the sort of useful things some folks will toss in the garbage.” XD Nick’s awesome, seriously.

2. Work on “In A World Of His Own”: Check! Another page, detailing Fury’s whole deal and going over some of Victor’s more ragey moments in the main Forgotten Vows Verse and his involvement in them. Alice was briefly suspicious Fury wanted Victor hurt or killed, but he quickly clarified he didn’t – he’s just a little “overenthusiastic” sometimes due to having been bottled up for years. Probably gonna wrap this first chapter up soon (it was pretty short), so that’s good. :)

3.Get in a workout: Check! Got back on the bike for my standard workout, and thus back to Jon’s Fallout 4 Survival Playthrough! Grills and Nick left the sewers of the Fens Phantom behind, only to stumble straight into Parkview Apartments and straight into the remnants of a battle between Super Mutants and Raiders! Grills was only too happy to pick off survivors, including whatever Legendaries he could find – though all he got out of it was an Enraging Harpoon Gun, which – no, Jon already decided that if there’s going to be any harpooning, he’ll get the Instigating one Allen sells in Far Harbor. After that they ventured back down to ground level, coming across the Hardware Town ambush – Grills left that for a minute to explore another apartment building, taking out the raiders lounging within (and barely raising an eyebrow at their habit of storing heads in fridges, while Jon got freaked out briefly by Nick’s shadow, thinking it was an enemy). It transpired that this was just the other building involved in the Parkview fights, so the pair once again headed back to ground level and took out the raiders in Hardware Town – Jon tried to do it sneakily, but then Nick broke cover, so grenades it was! Grills paused for a moment to mix up some green paint for Abbot over at the Diamond City Wall, then the dynamic duo headed for the Coast Guard Pier to grab themselves a holotape! What could possibly stand in their way?

Super Mutants! Fortunately, Grills had his silenced Gauss Rifle close at hand, and was able to take out most of the Mutants from quite a distance before anyone realize there was trouble (and that anyone was one of the dogs). Only a couple of Skirmishers were left when Grills and Nick actually got into the building, and they were easily dealt with. Jon located the holotape, then the terminal to figure out where the last one on the list was. . .and a surprise comic book! Another issue of “Astoundingly Awesome Tales,” giving him +5% damage with scoped weapons. Guess the Gauss is getting even more of an upgrade now? :p

With that in hand, Jon decided to send Grills and Nick on another detour nearby, since the remaining tapes were more spread out, and one of them was inconveniently in the Quincy Ruins (aka hardcore Gunner territory). Instead, he decided to check out good old Shaw High School, currently home of some tough Super Mutants and their Legendary hounds carrying crippling pool cues. XD It’s curious, since I’ve seen him come in here during his YOLO run, but at that time, he wasn’t interested in the story. This time he is – I think, if I remember how things went during his brief trip in YOLO, that they’re giving the students Mentats to boost test scores? Hmmm. . . At any rate, I left Jon poking at the principal’s terminal, sussing out what terrible bullshit the pre-War world was pulling this time. XD

So yeah, that was all fun. :) Even if I had to restart my computer twice because my stupid monitor was having unknown issues. *grumbles* I'm not sure, but it seemed like the input was coming from the wrong place? It was going into standby if I left it for too long, and not displaying correctly when I brought it back up. . . On the plus side, trying to look up what was happening showed me how to change the lights on it so it matched the purple glowy theme of the rest of my computer. So that's something, at least? I just hope it doesn't continue being a little bitch. . .

Anyway, I have asks to queue up over on The Valice Multiverse, a comment to answer here on DW, and then the Friday Night Writing Thing, so I'd best get a move on. Let's update the to-do list for Saturday:

1. Watch the videos in my Watch Later (Plumbella, Red Plumbob, OXBox) and continue keeping up with YouTube Subscriptions

2. Work some more on "Londerland Bloodlines"

3. See what can be done about my latest Fallout 4 issues

4. Get in a workout

Seems reasonable. (And if you're wondering -- no, still no update on MC Command Center for Sims 4! I imagine it has to be soon, but I really want to have it sorted before I do anything with that game.) Let's get going! Night all!

Did you know Sims 4 has a hidden Grilled Cheese aspiration? It's unlocked by eating 3 grilled cheeses in a row. I unlocked it for my Super Sim. Afterwards in a fit of madness (or something) I made a Sim to live in a Small (not Tiny...the 100 block one) Off-The-Grid house with solar panels and windmills and water catchers and a huge garden to grow their own food (and there's a fishing stream nearby). I had her Fabricate all the furniture she could, and upgrade everything with Eco parts first before doing the regular upgrade parts. Making all those eco parts was tedious, lol, and now it's Winter so I can't plant anything new or fish since it's too cold. Sometimes I get the "no more power" notification, but almost immediately afterward I get the "power surplus" message.

Antoinette was playing Sims and her dryer kept catching fire. I told her she has to empty the lint trap, or upgrade it so that it empties itself, lol.
