Managed to make it out the door with my shoes this morning. . .but most of my day was spent working on website stuff, specifically trying to make parts of it clearer so people stop being confused by it. Also looking things up for everyone and correcting things, and -- it wasn't an INSANELY busy day, but it kept me on my toes. Made it through and back home, though -- but how did I do on the to-do list?

1. Get in a workout: Not tonight – took today as my official “skip” day. Figured it was better to break now, at the beginning of an episode, then nearer the end of one! Should resume tomorrow, barring misadventure/me being lazy.

2. Work some more on “In A World Of His Own”: Check! Ben has gotten Alice to agree to ride on him to the beach, mostly by being cuter than the Jabberwock could ever manage. XD She and Victor are currently enjoying soaring over there, talking about the difference between the way she saw dragons growing up, and the way he did. Namely, she always accepted them as the monster in the fairy tale, while Victor thought it was unfair they were so often depicted as cruel and started imagining friendly ones – though he admits, part of the allure was having imaginary bodyguards to protect him from the likes of Gordon Tannen. XD Hey, after meeting the guy in Secundus, I think most of us wouldn’t mind seeing him become dragon food.

3. Keep up on YouTube Subscriptions: Check -- three videos, all banged out one after the other --

A) Started with the latest Fun With Shorts – “Learn To Argue Effectively!” The very short tale of a young man who loves to argue learning how to do so properly with the help of a debate club Punch and Judy show. Yes, really. XD Contains one of my favorite riffs from Josh to date too:

Teacher: "And you feel you have to know what you're talking about to argue profitably?"

Student: "I'll say!"

Josh: Then America might not be for you.

Yyuuuup. XD

B) Then it was onto Call Me Kevin, with Batman: The Telltale Series! He played through what I assume is episode one of the game, and basically did everything he could to turn Batman into a brutal monster of a “hero” (when he wasn’t refusing to fight back against random goon #27 and thus getting himself shot) and the world’s most socially awkward Bruce Wayne. There are a surprising number of opportunities in this game to say absolutely nothing in response to someone’s question – even when prompted to give a quote for Vicki Vale! Kevin reveled in them all. XD And he ended the episode impaling Carmine Falcone on a piece of rebar, which – ooouch. The game says that this sends a message to criminals everywhere, and that message is “Kevin is in control and you should run for your lives.” XD We ended the episode with basically everyone hating Bruce and/or Batman, and Bruce himself struggling with the possibility his parents could have been involved in the criminal underworld. I am totally down for more – though what I really want is for Kevin to play the BTTF game. Just to see how he’d react to some of the – stranger elements. XD

C) And then it was time for GrayStillPlays and more Happy Wheels! The bottle flips are getting gradually even more out there (Gray managed to flip a bottle on TOP of an area that’s in one of those upside-down boosts – no, no clue how he did it); the spike falls are getting longer (and more rainbowy!); the bottle runs are getting harder (and sometimes now involve men in rocket wheelchairs who also have to play Flappy Bird); and the pogo jumps are JUST GETTING UNFAIR (spike jumps while also confronting a variety of people with weapons. . .and pogo man constantly was vibrating himself INTO the spikes. And the swords. And the battle axes. It was – it was a THING, is what I’m saying). That last one almost broke Gray, incidentally – turns out the win he was promised was a liiiiie. Three hours of his life he ain’t getting back. Poor Gray. XD

D) Bonus quick clip from my Recommendeds – Sarah Millican reading an e-mail from an old school bully, bragging about her perfect life and trying to get in with the now-famous comedian. Sarah sent her a one-line reply about not remembering her favorably and then put her in one of her comedy shows. :D Best revenge is living well and getting people to laugh at those who made you buy your own insult once?

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: . . .N/A, there wasn’t anything in my askbox or any answered threads on Valice Multiverse, and try as I might nothing appealed to me in my usual tags to reblog. So nothing doing! *shrug*

So about half and half -- you know what, that's fine for a Friday. Especially a Friday after a week where I've been struggling a bit with insomnia. I DO have the Friday Night Writing Thing to do, though, so I'd better get on that. Let's set up a to-do for tomorrow:

1. Catch up on the OXBox/OXtra in my Watch Later and stay current on Subscriptions

2. Play either Sims 4 or Alice: Madness Returns (dependent on whether or not I can find out if the latest patch for the former is compatible with MC Command Center)

3. Write some more on "Londerland Bloodlines"

4. Get in a workout

For a non-cleaning Saturday, that seems reasonable. *nods* Let's answer that last comment and get to work. Night all!

Well, you know by now how I feel that Batman has drifted from being anything near heroic ever since Miller got his claws into him. Now he's just a guy with anger issues who takes them out on the mentally ill when... well, just the issues these days with the RL police shows that resorting to violence first is not the best way to stop crime and just makes things worse. Maybe if he'd actually done some crisis intervention training instead of just studying 1001 Ways To Hit Things and how to use all his money to make fancy gadgets to beat people up with, he might understand that you're supposed to try to DEescalate the situation, not throw gas on the dumpster fire.

I'm hoping some therapy time can de-Miller him for Mosaic.
