Hot and sticky weather, stressful day at work, and there was some sort of emergency (I'm not sure what, but a fire truck, ambulance, and cop car were all involved) on my street, blocking my way to my house, forcing me to do an unexpected turn and go another way (which wasn't easy -- I mean, yeah, the emergency vehicles had more right to be there than me if someone was hurt, but that street is not made to turn around on). Meeeeh. Let's have the round-up:

Work – As stated, stressful – there was a funny bit at the beginning with someone who didn't realize we were in an entirely different state when they called, but then it was more wrestling with the credit card company stuff and trying to figure out what’s gone wrong with this thing and what’s gone wrong with that thing. . .ugh. At least we had the slightly-early release! I’ll take it. . .we’ll see if tomorrow’s any better! (I have some massive reversal batches to do, sooo – we’ll see.)

Beanbags – As predicted, no – too hot and muggy out there! We’ll get there eventually. . .

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check! Another thirty on the bike, and this time I watched a couple of Fallout 4-based videos! Namely, Juicehead covering some secrets people might not know about (stuff like there’s unique dialogue with Codsworth if you play the whole game without interacting with him until the end, or if you kill Kent during the final part of the Silver Shroud quest, you’ll flabbergast Sinjin and his goons, causing the latter to run away and the former not to be such a hard boss fight – I actually already knew all of them, mostly from other videos) and Shoddycast discussing how power armor negating fall damage in Fallout 4 is completely ludicrous (you stop too suddenly and would experience too many g-forces – basically you and your power armor should liquefy if you jumped from, say, the Prydwen). That last might not have been the best video for someone who was recently rear-ended to watch, as Shoddy talked a LOT about car crashes. *wince* At least tomorrow I’ll be watching stuff like Victor Van Dort being cute on account of it being his birthday!

2. Start working on gift fics for the end of the month: Chedk – Gigs kindly provided me a prompt a while back (the adoption of Lightning in the Secundus Verse), so I whacked out a rough draft of that! I think it’s cute so far. :) Needs editing, of course, but that’ll come later, once it’s had a chance to rest. You know, like bread dough. XD I hope you’ll like it, Gigs!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check! Three in, three out, no trouble –

A) Started with James Turner and the next episode of “Rags To Redecoration” (he’s not really calling it that, but I like the name too much not to use it here). Today’s renovation took Hazel to Sulani, where she did a full level renovation for the four-person Mullen family! Who lived in one of James’s own island builds! A – starter home for at max two Sims with the bed right across from the kitchen! XD Oookay then – said “level renovation” promptly turned into “okay let’s actually put some actual BEDROOMS on this build.” It came out pretty nice in the end, though – the clients liked orange and Gothic Farmhouse décor, so James did his best to indulge them on those fronts – and because the mother liked cooking, he threw in a stove upgrade. He came CLOSE to going over budget a few times (especially when it came to trying to sneak new pack items into the build), but ultimately was able to reign himself in and present a lovely new home on-time and under budget. :) The clients loved it, even giving Hazel a bonus for giving them all a place to sleep. XD Hazel turned the cash into buying herself some new kitchen counters and a couple of sinks. Couple that with the earlier purchase of a small sectional sofa with the money from her last gig, and she’s SLOWLY starting to turn this place into a home! One day, one day. . .

B) Then it was onto Call Me Kevin for a highlights video of a stream he did – sitting in an inflatable hot tub while raising money for St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital! He’d PLANNED for a much longer night of revealing prizes at the bottom of the tub and whatnot, but his cult managed to SMASH his original goals and force him to do some stuff early (like releasing a rain of rubber ducks, or killing his inflatable buddy Bob). It was a delightfully goofy video, full of Kevin doing things like making a fake storm via Alexa and wondering about his life choices – and it raised $43,000 for St. Jude’s, sooo – wholesome! Not often you can say that about a Kevin video. XD

C) And then it was time for GrayStillPlays and some very UNWHOLESOME Happy Wheels. XD Today was all about Gray having to try over and over again at surprisingly long boards, usually with Nixon or Pogo Man. A super-long jet fall that really, REALLY loved to take Nixon’s head off (Gray EVENTUALLY found the edge and managed to coast down it); a simple “fly over this gap” challenge that had fifty million harpoons waiting for him at the end (Gray got lucky and managed to deflect the lot!); a box above spikes that required some careful wiggling to enter (took Gray a few tries but he got there); a pogo parkour with all the harpoons, crossbow bolts, and other stabby things (he got speared in the crotch SO MANY TIMES); a blue rope swing where losing a single limb means you are SCREWED (Gray was screwed often until he figured out how to get past the ball/spike fall in the middle); and a pogo heist where you can’t just steal your booty, you have to get AWAY too (dodging harpoons and explosive street lights? Gray knows the score!). It was a chaotic and painful episode – aka, one of the best. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – got the first half of the Newcrest Adventures posts for VictorLuvsAlice done before supper, and the second done after! Those two plus a reblog of a Pride-related FO4 post took care of that blog. As for Valice Multiverse, one ask and a couple of reblogs from VLA to round things out. We’re good for another day!

Aaand that's about it! Not too shabby wrap-up anyway. . .now I just have to finish up with my DW comment and head to bed. Hopefully tomorrow won't be a complete clusterfuck -- I'd like Victor and Marty's combined birthday to be at least HALFWAY decent. We'll see, I suppose. . . Night all!

The fluffnugget has her first grooming appointment on the Sunday after she gets her rabies shot. Just a trim for the first time, eventually leading up to a summer shave. Good GAWD it's been hot and humid lately.
