Well, sort of rainy -- it was fairly miserable this morning, but actually brightened up this afternoon. Tomorrow's supposed to be roughly the same, just with a little less rain. *shrug* We'll see what happens! My parents are hoping to finish the new walk outside, and I'm just hoping to get through another day at work. Let's go over the to-do list, shall we?

Work – Very quiet day – spent most of it doing the usual for this time of year, duplicates and obituaries. *shrug* Nothing to write home about!

Beanbags – Nope – while it didn’t rain ALL day, it rained enough that it was too wet when I came home for us to play. I doubt Friday’s gonna be much better. . .maybe Saturday!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another thirty on the bike, another thirty with Jon’s Original FO4 Playthrough! Started Episode 29, with Miss Jon picking up the assignment “infiltrate the Institute if you can” and the special holotape that not only grabs a bunch of info from their systems, but will also contact Patriot in this case, from Desdemona, before hopping into the relay and getting teleported! She promptly changed into her tuxedo (Past!Jon figuring this would be more a land of speech checks over gunplay), and cautiously ventured into the Institute at the behest of Father (Past!Jon commenting that he gave him President Eden/Mr. House vibes). And yes, when she found Synth Shaun, Past!Jon was already fully prepared for him not to be the real one – and only a little ways into the conversation with Father, he twigged that, yes, HE’S the real Shaun. He wasn’t really on board with Father’s claims that the Institute was the best hope for humankind, nor with what they were doing down there with synths and whatnot –

Then he sent Miss Jon upstairs, discovered the fluffy towels and the working facilities, and went “okay, NOW I’m sold.” XD Fully admitted he’s a person who loves his creature comforts, so the Institute’s would be right up his alley. Still, Miss Jon had some people to meet and an Institute to explore – she decided to start at the bottom and work her way up from Father’s quarters, and ended up talking to Allie Filmore first, Director in charge of Facilities – aka the day-to-day maintenance that keeps the Institute running. Left it with Allie just walking off after answering ONE question about how the Institute came to be (basically bunch of scientists hiding underground kept digging down deeper and expanding out more each generation) – oi, rude, Miss Jon probably wants to know more, you know! :p Ah well, she DOES have a bunch of other directors to meet. . .

2. Write some more on "Learn To Love Again": Check – Victor and Alice have summed up their first meetings for Victoria and Christopher, even doing a bit of “finishing each other’s sentences, or at least thoughts.” XD What, it just sort of happened! They also revealed that Alice already knows about the corpse bride incident, and discussed what they’d like to happen to that wanker Bumby. Left it off with Alice revealing she and Victor have only known each other a week – Victoria’s gonna be quite surprised they’re so comfortable with each other already! Again, speed run – it’s easier when Alice is post-A:MR instead of in the middle of it!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check! And with Gray not posting today, I could dip into the Watch Later to remove a couple of recent entries --

A) Started with a double-shot of Atop The Fourth Wall

I. First, Linkara reviewed “US-1 #10,” the latest of the “US-1” comics! After a long monologue from the Highwayman and a brief pile-up of villains (including Baron Von Blimp, the real estate moguls, and the freaking aliens), the Highwayman got out of dodge, forcing Ulysses to chase him and have a fight to demonstrate how the Black Rig is better than poor old US-1. And, naturally, we got the big reveal of the identity of the Highwayman – Jeff, Ulysses's brother! Though what happened and how he got hooked up with aliens (they explicitly called him out for slacking on the job) will have to wait until next year. XD Also there was some story stuff for the Contest of Champions, setting up the next contest, but I think I’ve said before I’ve basically lost interest at this point in that storyline.

II. And then we had the trailer for this year’s October stuff on the channel – and I was correct, Linkara’s covering something from The Ring franchise! Specifically, he’s doing a two-parter looking at a manga adaptation of the original movie. We also of course have Longbox Of The Damned all month, and a Late Night Double Feature episode covering American adaptations of Ring movies. Should be interesting!

B) Then it was over to James Turner and another episode of “Every Lot Challenge!” Today was a busy one – Semaj wooed not just one, but TWO lovely ladies in order to try and fulfill the requirements of his inheritance (as James chose the wrong option again in response to the phone call). The first one was his military friend – he got up to first kiss, but was unable to get her to accept his proposal because she felt they were moving too fast. And then the game crashed and he had to redo that part anyway. XD And then she aged up to an elder and Semaj, wanting to have kids, decided to get the keycard he needed for the lab off her and dump her. XD The second was Jessabelle, one of the scientists hanging out in the library – he met and wooed her on Love Day! And then got her to make him a spore filter for the hazmat suit he bought off the curio shop owner, before inviting her over, wooing her some more, and proposing. She said yes, they got married right away, boom! $20K from the inheritance, $20K from moving her into the house! Win! XD Also he seduced a guy for his infection scanner, but that was literally just a kiss on the cheek, so. . . XD

But yeah, Semaj now has a lifemate, AND he’s making good progress on the StrangerVille mystery, having created his hazmat suit and found the Mother Plant! Now it’s time to make some vaccines/cures and assemble a team to fight her, yeah! But not before trying for a baby and planning a house remodel. Things are getting a little cramped in here, after all. . .and not just because it’s infested with dogs, cats, and specters all the damn time. XD Next time, we’ll see if he can solve the mystery and manage any promotions!

C) And then it was time for Call Me Kevin and WarioWare: Get It Together! Kevin takes on the game that is basically “here are a number of very odd characters and a load of EXTREMELY odd micro-games, have fun!” You have do things like use a guy who shoots discs from his head to knock a seesaw into the correct configuration; complete shopping orders by gathering the requested items with this one girl’s boomerang; and raise and lower London Bridge with the tractor beam of an alien who loves visiting Earth’s big tourist destinations. And that’s just a TINY fraction of the available games! Poor Kevin was sweating just trying to keep up with it all! But he apparently had loads of fun too, so – no fault there! (Definitely NOT a game I’m interested in, though – my frustration tolerance is low and my chance of messing up on a strict time limit high.) (Also, writing “London Bridge” there suddenly put the Fergie song in my head, which – you know, I remember listening to that on the radio, and it now seems weird that it’s at least ten years old??)

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – with Victor Luvs Alice all set, I just needed to do Valice Multiverse. Three thread replies and an ask – we’re all good!

Well, did get everything I needed to get done, done, at least. Now I just have to finish getting through the work week, and we'll finally be at the weekend! Hopefully I can get the cleaning done fairly quickly on Saturday. . .night all!
