crossover_chickHah -- managed to get 10:04 TONIGHT, at least. Also wore my Doc socks, and my BTTF t-shirt during beanbags in honor of the day. :) I may be more into other fandoms these days, but I still remember my Backie roots! :)
. . .I just wish I hadn't gotten my period today. Yeah, the red curse finally hit -- I was expecting it, but I never know EXACTLY when the stupid thing is going to show up. At least now I'm guaranteed not to have to deal with it on Halloween! And it's only been a few hours so far, though I am already starting to feel rather dragged out. . . Ugh. Well, let's go through the usual updates --
Work – Reasonably quiet day, with more credit card bullshit. Actually got an ANSWER to a few of my e-mails, though, so – win? *shrug* Still glad it’s the weekend. And that when my period came after lunch, I didn’t actually ruin my clothes!
Beanbags – Yes, taking advantage of the one remaining truly nice day – and another no-win day for me, sadly, with 2-3-2. I’m blaming that on my period. *sigh* Dad got W-W-3 (he almost beat me for second in the third game, but didn’t quite manage the twelve he needed); Mom got 3-2-W (yay).
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – another day on the bike, another day with L.A. By Night, “Instruments of Darkness!” Turns out the fancy car belonged to one Charles “Chaz” Price, another Toreador – and Nelli’s sire. Apparently he’s been keeping tabs on Nelli and wanted a chat. Nelli was clearly not happy to see him, as they parted on bad terms, but agreed to a public meeting away from the rusty old factory at the Highland, a club in the same building as Baron Isaac’s headquarters. She and Chaz went ahead in his car, with Victor, Annabelle, and Jasper following behind in Victor's SUV. Along the way, Nelli and Chaz had a bit of a chat, in which it was revealed that a) Chaz is part of the Camarilla, and Nelli was probably at one point too; b) Nelli feels like Chaz cast her out; and c) Chaz apparently knows that Nelli – committed diablerie. AKA devoured the blood and soul of another vampire. Hinted that she did it out of jealousy too, trying to regain his wandering eye. This is terrifyingly big news, and Nelli naturally wants to keep it quiet, so she’s agreeing to let him talk to her friends and try to gain their interest in something (apparently joining up with the Camarilla, but I suspect there’s more to it than that). Everyone made it to the club (despite Victor again stopping to take selfies and whatnot with people, and doing goofy overacting opening doors for Annabelle so the Obfuscated Jasper could slip through), and they’re all gathering in a private room to talk about what Chaz wants. We’ll see how that shakes out later, though I doubt it’s going to go well.
2. Work on my Sims 4 Challenge Doc, “The Worst Lot In The World”: Check – look, now I’m on my period, so – again, would like to keep it simple! And it’s coming along a bit better now – I still need to rejigger how some of these challenges work (I’m thinking I need to make things a bit simpler – like some sort of combination of “aspiration, skill, job, extra little challenge”), but I’ve got a rough idea what I want for most of them! Plus I finished the “James’s Rules” set because that one’s a lot simpler. XD
3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – another simple three-in, three-out day –
A) Started with Fun With Shorts and “Prehistoric Animals of the Tarpits,” Part 2! The second half of the educational short on the La Brea Tar Pits, showing off more models of prehistoric animals, some theories on how they died and got caught in the tar, some photos of excavations, and what the park looks like today. Pretty dull stuff, enlivened by Josh’s quips – you know, your standard FWS fare!
B) Then it was over to Call Me Kevin for Priest Simulator, which – would be blasphemy if it had any idea what the fuck religion was. O.o There’s people running around with Orlock heads, and lightbulb heads, and dog heads, and being a priest involves cleaning up a church, turning around inverted crosses, hitting up people in strange blue outfits for change, killing people with red devil heads with your literal hand-gun (as it’s mounted on the back of your hand) or running them over with your “summoned with divine grace” car, and going up against the dog-head lady (the “Countess”) with a fire hammer as she’s been taking confession in a converted port-o-potty and that’s YOUR job, damn it. Also this is apparently in POLISH?? Look, I have no idea what happened here, and neither did good Irish Catholic Kevin. XD Let’s stick with Jim Picken’s cult, shall we?
C) Then it was time for GrayStillPlays and Milk Crate Master, another “get the floppy QWOPy person from point A to point B without letting them fall” walking puzzle game! The gimmick with this one was getting your randomly-spawned people over various towers of milk crates – either lined up on a random street, on seesaws in front of a playground, or floating in some dude’s pool, with the hardest level being a simple pyramid where the two tallest towers were just far enough apart to be horrifically wobbly and thus send you topping to the ground pretty much every time. Gray beat it, though! It took a hellish amount of tries and many, many dead jell-o people, but he did it! And, interestingly, he found the female characters in their skirts and heels often performed better than the menfolk! Possibly because they could use their heels for balance on the crates, who knows. XD Very silly fun times~
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check, kind of in progress – no asks or threads for Valice Multiverse, so I found some neat FO4 fanart to reblog. Would like to have a bit more in my queue, but if that’s the only good thing I find. . . *shrug*
I'm also talking to friend Squid -- Friday Night Writing Thing isn't happening because of my period (and his headache), so instead we're just chatting, and he shared a video on Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 I'm watching a bit of now. Expecting to keep the night quiet, and since I'm gonna have the worst of my period tomorrow, let's keep tomorrow's to-dos quiet as well:
1. Write something related to my "Fallout of Darkness" verse
2. Watch the two OX lists in my Watch Later, keep up on tumblr queues, watch something FO4-related
3. See about getting Fallout 4 up and running again -- even if I do a "minimal mod" opening
. . .What, it's "Bombs Drop" Day tomorrow, and considering that I'm dressing up in a Vault Suit with Pip-Boy for Halloween this year. . .yeah, I think I need to celebrate it a bit. XD Night all!
