Slept in a bit later than I originally intended, then ended up having three cookies for a snack this afternoon, followed by cake and a decent amount of Reese's ice cream for dessert. . .yeah, combine that with the parfait I made this morning with my granola, and it's been a very sweet day. Not that I'm really complaining. XD Anyway, my to-dos are looking good --

1. Finish editing Chapter 4 of “Londerland Bloodlines: Santa Monica’s Vale Of Tears”: Check! Did this right after lunch, as I wanted to wrap it up – Alice has gotten the cash box and Obfuscated her way back home from the Gallery, ready to get all these bloody clothes off her and collapse into bed. Poor girl, she has had a long night. Fortunately we now only have two chapters to go to finish up the Santa Monica missions! Yay! :D

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs, watch the two OX lists in the Watch Later: Check – two in the subs, two in the WL, all good for a Saturday –

A) Started after my writing with the two OX lists in the Watch later –

I. OXtra, “7 Terrible Ideas for Platformers that Worked Weirdly Well” – platform games that you REALLY thought would not work, and yet. . . Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg? Yes, you’re running around in a chicken costume, but launching those giant eggs at enemies is so satisfying! Glover? You’re a sentient magical glove doing rolling ball puzzles – what’s not to love? Ape Escape? Come on, you know you want to run around after a bunch of apes in flashing-light helmets to catch them in your butterfly net. Rocket: Robot On Wheels? It’s an adorable amusement park robot using a full physics engine in the 90s! That’s just plain impressive. :D Makes me wish I’d been more into gaming when I was younger.

II. OXBox, “7 Anti-Climax Boss Fights That Weren't Worth the Build Up” – those boss fights where your response to the “action” was “really?” From The Leader, mastermind behind all you’ve been through in The Incredible Hulk game on the SNES being just a guy in a jumpsuit you could one-punch into a hole, to Halo 4’s final battle against big bad Didact being primarily cutscene with one bomb-stuffing-into-armor sequence, to Mass Effect 2’s final big “Human Reaper Larva” being unfinished and thus not as much of a threat as you might think, these boss fights just didn’t make the grade. Though, admittedly, one on the list is self-inflicted – FUS-RO-DAHing an otherwise-pretty-decently-tough Snow Elf boss off a balcony instead of frying him with your magic in the Skyrim: Dawnguard DLC. Look, sometimes an opportunity presents itself, and you have to take it. XD

B) Then, after supper, it was time for Call Me Kevin and a return to Rust! Well, sort of – he was showing off a video of the highlights of an old stream he did with Dan/RTGame and The Spiffing Brit, where they all set up their own little kingdoms in the game – Spiffing was apparently the king, with Dan in charge of Dublin and Kevin and his little cult in charge of Cork! There was also Wales somewhere in there, I think run by a person named Digby? It was all a little hard to keep up with. . .the important things are, Kevin was constantly going behind Spiffing and Dan’s backs to try and get one of them killed with fake alliances and the like (to the point of leaving his bear mount at Dan’s camp as a sneaky assassination attempt); he and his cult built a very impressive church to GLASHNOK, complete with human sacrifices (and Kevin eating the human meat afterward, despite the fact that it could and did kill him); he and his second-in-command, Liam, traveled to Wales to propose an alliance against Dan, and tried to trade 500 potatoes for the Wales settlement’s piano – only to learn later their own pub in Cork already had a piano; and Kevin and his followers joined a war against the “Orcs” with Dan and his gang, with Kevin leading a massive charge over the wall – and while most of the cult members ended up dead, Kevin was ABSOLUTELY FINE. He himself was BAFFLED at how far he got behind enemy lines without dying. XD And Dan died too in the assault, so he considered that a major win. XD The video ended with them bringing King Spiff to the pub and having a sing-along to “Country Roads” with his naked, recently-resurrected cult. XD Oh man, pure chaos, but good times. XD

C) And then it was time for GrayStillPlays and more Skate 3! Gray had found some new glitches to exploit, most of which involved using inanimate objects to turn his physics teacher player character into a jello man going at high speed. XD Skate up to a shopping cart in a plaza and try to grab it? Get turned into a human windmill and destroy all nearby. Attempt to grab a rail instead of grind on it? Get launched straight up with your foot coming out your own ass. Do a certain type of flip trick in the right spot? DESCEND INTO THE UNDERWORLD AND BECOME A PULSATING MASS OF BONES – and occasionally get shot out into the skybox! From Hell straight to Heaven. . . Slap a hired photographer in the head enough times? You’ll rocket across the skate park at 185 miles per hour. And crouch behind this one bench and squeeze your legs hard enough? GET TURNED INTO BONE JELLY UNDERNEATH THE WORLD, THEN SHOOT STRAIGHT THROUGH THE BRIDGE INTO THE STRATOSPHERE. XD It was horrifying and fantastic and I love it. He ALWAYS finds the best way to break skateboarding games, I swear.

3. Play Sims 4 and see if I can get Victor and Alice to the Selvadoradan temple: Check – and it ended up being something of a marathon session! Mostly because the one spot where I would have cut it for next time ended up being at the temple itself, and I didn’t want to just stop there. . .anyway, ended up playing through both Friday and Saturday with the Chill Save pair, and quite a bit happened:

Friday – After making grilled cheese “together” (they got the sentiment, but Victor didn’t actually help Alice – I suspect the kitchen was too small) and packing up some sack lunches, Victor and Alice made their way into the jungle! Alice cleared the first set of vines into the first main area, but lost her machete and almost got roasted by a trip-wire trap! And then bees attacked Victor by the waterfall – fortunately, Alice was there to kiss it better. Victor led the way into the second main area, which had him recover a fancy calendar plate from some carnivorous vines thanks to his gardening skill. :) He and Alice admired the view from the lookout point, took some pictures, and then Alice fended off some lightning bugs while Victor hacked his way into an area off the path! Unfortunately, his text adventure attempt to pick up some more treasure got him hit by a poisoned dart! That was – worrying! O.O Fortunately, the area he uncovered, a sort of island by a sunken temple, had some nice stuff in it, including one of the “lesser” treasure chests – Alice got a mask and a chaos relic base out of it, so that was cool. They also fished at the side of the little island together – Alice caught a tetra, and Victor a discus. From there they made their way to the temple – Alice avoided a scorpion in someone’s abandoned knapsack, before they both emerged at the Temple of Abundance, overgrown with greenery and full of plants to harvest! Victor picked up some potatoes, and they started working their way through some of the temple traps (and meeting some of the temple skeleton guardians), and Victor picked up the Blessing of Self-Care (reduces need decay) before exhaustion finally compelled them to set up their tent and get some sleep. And some woohoo. XD

Saturday – New Year’s Eve, and time to go deeper into the temple! Alice got them past trap two and trap three with her examinations, while Victor managed to fight off the poison (yay!) and pick up a statue from an excavation site. The penultimate room had another lesser chest – Victor picked up $475 worth of simoleons and some Liquid Rush – useful, as both he and Alice were getting tired. Alice NEARLY failed the last trap, but managed to avoid any consequences, and found the right trigger to open the temple arch – even picking up a Personal Sun blessing in the process! :D They collected their treasures from the final room – Victor grabbed a vase and a Faraday Fizz from the lesser chest, while Alice got another calendar plate, a golden Zazatototl Chaos Relic, a Guzmania flower, and $2,277 simoleons! :D After taking some pictures, taking care of needs, picking up the tent, and weeding the temple garden, Victor and Alice headed back to the honeymoon house to get some sleep and clean up after their adventure. Once they woke back up, I had them each make the “Raise a Skill” resolution. Victor actually completed his very shortly thereafter, getting his Archaeology skill to level 2 uncovering an artifact-shaped dirt clump from a nearby excavation site as Alice took a bath. Once they were both in good moods, I swung by the Alma Museum lot, which was – kind of naff, honestly. It’s a tiny building with one major collection. Alice was able to get some Amazonite to later put into her relic, though, and she and Victor did some socializing with fellow vacationers and locals (including the visiting Clement Frost!). Alice fulfilled HER resolution by raising her Selvadoradan Culture skill, while Victor found a skull artifact inside of his dirt clump at one of the public excavation tables. From there, I had them hit the Cantina to play a bit of chess (Alice won), and watch New Year’s TV and enjoy the countdown. :) From there it was back to the cabin for cuddles and woohoo – what? It was their honeymoon. ;) And then I went ahead and ran out the clock, starting Spring and sending them back home!

Whew! Busy few days, but I accomplished everything I wanted to on that honeymoon trip, so I’m happy. :) Next time, I think I’m gonna work on some building (I have a house design in mind I’d like to try), and then we’ll switch over to Smiler Always for the Chill Save!

4. Work on my "Pictures" folder to clean up some stuff and see about some "Valicetine" ideas: Check – I’ve spent a good portion of my evening moving around and cleaning up pictures, moving things out of unnecessary sub-folders and putting other ones IN necessary sub-folders. At least things are a little more reasonably organized! And I went ahead and got the pictures sorted for the next Chill Save update on Wednesday too. :) As for Valicetines – I haven’t actually DONE any yet, but I know at least two pics from my recent Simming that I’d like to use for a couple, soooo – win?

So that's all good, at least! :) I was a little worried as I was kind of unfocused this morning, but all checks, w000. Let's see if I can keep it up for Sunday --

1. Keep up with the FoD Playthrough Progression; Free Writing Day otherwise

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs, watch OXBox Hitman VR video, Jon's F:NV "Utter Chaos" video

3. Play Fallout 4 and check out the Slocum Joe's basement

4. Work on tumblr queues/drafts

5. Get in a workout

Especially need that last one to burn off tonight's sugar. XD Should probably try and get on the treadmill for a bit, honestly. . .we'll see how it goes! Night all!

I updated the VtMB patch so I had to start a new game. I made a Ventrue for shiggles. Named her "Gwentrue" after what Maven of the Eventide once named her own Ventrue.
