crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
Didn't sleep all that great and woke up weirdly early, so that wasn't fun. I think the rest of it is covered pretty well in the "work" section below:

Work – Well, started with a bad commute as a) my own side street is still basically covered in snow; b) as usual, there were assholes riding right on my ass while going down the highway; and c) I had a scary slide moment with the car while turning onto the intersection that would actually BRING me to work (got it under control in just a couple of seconds, but still). And then the day itself – work wasn’t TOO bad, but my coworkers were yammering away ALL DAY, AND we had a birthday thing for my supervisor that brought in more people than I wanted to see, and – yeah, I was in a pretty grouchy mood most of the day. Blah. Hopefully the roads will at least be better when I go in tomorrow!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike, and I did indeed go back to that video I was watching about “Carl’s Gameplay Overhaul” for The Sims 4 (by UrbanSims) – it actually restarted from the beginning, so I just watched it from there. It was interesting to see some of the overhaul actually in action – like apparently getting food in a mere hour while on a date at a Dine Out restaurant, or having a good date despite canceling it early with no goals achieved. Urban had the Patreon-locked version with the new “burglars” feature too, and showed that off, with Eric Lewis getting his ass kicked by the burglar who stole his couch. XD Fun times, and it is nice to see how the mod actually WORKS a bit.

This did not take up my full half-hour on the bike, though, so I also listened to a song I heard on the radio this morning and wanted to hear again (it’s got some Valicey vibes – “Meet Me At Our Spot” by The Anxiety); watched a video someone made with a Go-Pro about riding The Smiler at Alton Park back in the good old days; and started a mod video on functional objects, but wasn’t impressed by it. *shrug* So that was a thing! Tomorrow, it’s time to get back to Oxventure! :)

2. Continue editing Chapter 5 of “Londerland Bloodlines: Santa Monica’s Vale Of Tears”: Check – we’re through the Cathayan boss fight! Which was not particularly difficult for Alice, who lucked out in that the guy wasn’t bouncing around a lot in her particular playthrough. XD She had a few close calls with his fiery crossbow, yes, but with the help of the Origami Ants as a distraction and the Queen of Hearts lending a little extra “oomph” to Ed’s ax, she got him down without much issue. With a lot of blood all over her front, of course. . .poor girl, I really need to get her and Victor together just so he can give her a proper clothing budget. XD

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – just two today in the Subs, which is good, because that meant I had a little more time to tackle the next thing on the list –

A) First, we had Call Me Kevin, revealing something about Project Zomboid that I didn’t know – namely, that you can play with other people! Anyone you like! And so he took it upon himself to show Jacksepticeye, other famous Irish YouTuber, the ropes! Strangely enough, it actually went very well – the boys were well-armed with saucepans in the beginning, and Kevin was a shockingly responsible mentor – showing Jack how to shove away zombies, beat their heads in, and loot their belongings for random clothing. Kevin rapidly ended up looking a bit like a cursed stripper (cowboy hat, bra, heart print undies), while Billy Baggins (Jacksepticeye’s chosen name for his character) went through a beatnik poet phase with a beret and a sensible button-down before changing over to Village People-style construction worker upon finding a hard hat. He was even able to do the YMCA dance thanks to Kevin’s “dance magazines” mod! :D Nice to see that in action. . .anyway, the boys had a marvelous time mowing down zombies in a car (JSE driving them into trees and whatnot to try and get around roadblocks), looting warehouses, burning down random diners, guzzling cold soup (well, JSE did that, Kevin tried to actually COOK it first XD), barricading each other on the roof (well, KEVIN did that while JSE was trying to loot), and occasionally returning to their little home base to shower up and flirt with each other. XD It was very silly fun, and I am impressed with them for a) not burning or cutting down the entire forest around them, b) not getting devoured by the hordes (there were a few close calls, but they always got away). Good work!

B) And second, we had GrayStillPlays and Forensic Master, another one of those strange cell phone “puzzle” games – this time with a murder and death theme! Gray completely wrecked people’s houses looking for clues to murders; posed dead bodies in disturbing ways before yeeting them into a coffin, and then yeeting that coffin into the crematorium; took autopsy photos and signed them “Killme;” interrogated suspects and then ignored all their answers for funsies; wandered crime scenes and scanned corpses with blacklights to find more clues (like was a particular woman killed by a rubber duck to the stomach or a stray cat’s paws to the throat?); and finally ended by texting Jason Vorhees (here just credited as “Murderer”) to “sleep with one eye open” before the guy texted back that he was gonna kill more people, byee. XD It was absolutely ridiculous and strange and thus a perfect Gray title. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – got the text all sorted for all four of my Chill Save posts for Wednesday, whew! Still amazing that the temple run got that many pictures. . .I mean, I’m also using some pictures Victor and Alice took THEMSELVES, but still. XD Ready to pop those in the queue tomorrow!

And I'm just finishing up my tumblr tags now. . .and learning there's apparently a TV series adaptation of American McGee's Alice being batted around? What? O.o I'll figure that out in the morning. . .night all!
