I'd better not be PMSing already -- I mean, I'm expecting some overlap this month with my period, given how close to the beginning of the month it's been coming, but I'd like to think my hormones are not already freaking out and making me bitchier. *sigh* But then again, "keyed up" has been sort of my natural state for the past few years. . . Nothing for it. Let's take a look at the to-dos, shall we?

Work – Another annoying commute, though today it was just normal traffic and not accident related – and look at that, Talky Coworker was back today and being a bit martyr-y, as she does. The day itself wasn’t too difficult – look at these returned credit card things and contact the donors, scan the checks, try and e-mail the credit card people to fix a few more things related to the one I can confirm they fixed – it was just mildly annoying. As implied by the subject line, I felt kinda wound up all day, and it wasn’t pleasant. Meh. We’ll see if tomorrow’s better!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another half-hour on the bike to start the next Oxventure, “Exhibition Impossible!” Which is not about them selling the manor at Necropolis-On-Sea, as I thought – in fact, the gang were taking a vacation AWAY from the manor on Corazon’s ship The Joyful Damnation to start the adventure! Basically everyone felt they deserved a break from the place after the whole thing with the mountain, and the necromancer trapper, and the Simon Hat. They were all having a good time (well, except Egbert, who kept throwing up either because of seasickness or Dob shoving his arm down his throat to flavor the sick like a strawberry milkshake XD) when SUDDENLY Prudence spotted a shape coming towards them! A shape that, when it breached onto the deck of the ship, was revealed to be a humpback whale! A whale that then disgorged a figure that we haven’t seen in a while – Panniers, Corazon’s traitorous first mate who took over the Joyful Damnation after the whole “curse” business (basically he and the rest of Corazon’s old crew are now undead pirates who can’t be killed until eight stolen coins are thrown back into the cursed cave where they were found, and every two years they try to kill Corazon, who avoided the curse and who has actually been trying to get the coins back to break it – please see the second-ever adventure “A Spot of Bother”), and who was last seen being body-checked off the deck (with the help of a slippery slice of julienned pirate) and into the belly of said whale. As it turns out, he’s had a lot of time to think while living in the belly of a whale (formerly Henry, now Panniers II), and while he’s still pissed at Corazon, he’s also just tired of the damn curse and wants to break it already. Corazon was all for this state of affairs, and – thanks to Dob making a claim that turned out to be true (because Corazon claimed he actually follows his character motivations in between all these adventures he’s dragged on) – revealed he’d gotten his hands on seven of the eight coins. Panniers was pleased and offered up in return that the whale had accidentally swallowed someone else recently – someone who, in a coincidence everyone at the table mocked, worked for a fellow named Victor who runs the fabled Treasury! Turns out this is a pirate legend – a private island with a massive mansion upon it, filled with treasure (including, importantly, rare coins), that only the very elite are allowed to see every five years at a very exclusive party. Panniers even knew the way thanks to his temporary whale companion. Corazon basically squeed at the idea of going there and robbing the place blind, and everyone else was happy enough to help him break the curse (well, sort of – Prudence seemed a bit stuck on the idea of killing Panniers. Because Prudence).

And so the gang set off! Dob ended up joining Panniers in riding in the belly of the whale just because he could, while the rest somehow managed to get The Joyful Damnation to follow Panniers II to the island. After some shenanigans with Panniers and Dob getting shot out of Pannier II’s blowhole (and Dob accidentally killing a shark on the way down), the gang admired the view of the island, before noticing the ships of the rich and elite coming in. Ships that were taking a VERY specific route to the island, making everyone suspect traps. And who better to check for underwater traps than Octowen, who can stick to ships to get a feel for the terrain, and squirt ink to indicate the path their ship will need to follow? :) We’ll see how that goes for them tomorrow! Ah, already this adventure is so much fun...

2. Start the final posting edit of Chapter 5 of “Londerland Bloodlines: Santa Monica’s Vale Of Tears”: Check – I have pulled a copy of the chapter out of the main document and have started going through it in FF.net’s document manager! It’s actually half the length of Chapter 4 (literally, 23 vs 46 pages), so I imagine I’m not gonna need the whole week to edit. Especially since I already just hit page four. XD Basically took care of the opening scene, with Alice discovering that it was Therese’s exhibition Jeannette had her destroy, and then meeting Marian Muriettta by having a book thrown at her (by accident). Alice is not having a great start to her night, is what I’m saying. XD At least Carson was nice enough to give her his skill book on firearms as a thank you for the rescue! And tomorrow she heads back to Kilpatrick and gets some more spending money, at least...

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check, because – thanks to James’s erratic schedule and Kevin’s current “every other day” thing – Gray was the only one to upload today. But I had some stuff from the Recommendeds to keep me entertained –

A) Started with a Plumbella video – “Raising my blood pressure with the 10 Minute Build Challenge!” Yup, it was time once again for a ten-minute build over in Sims 4's Newcrest, and this time she kept it simple and went for a two-story English suburban – living room, kitchen, tiny bath on the first floor; two bedrooms and a larger bath on the second floor. The build involved a lot of her yelling at herself not to dither over stuff, wondering how she had so much time on the clock (because you’re not dithering!), and gushing about Bucky Barnes (her new fictional boyfriend/special interest), and it actually came out rather nicely! She had time for upper cabinets in the kitchen, a bookshelf and poof in the upstairs hallway, and even to surround the house with hedges (and then move them out of the walls). Sure, some of the design choices were a bit weird (the bathroom downstairs has a potentially-unusable “corner sink,” and the one upstairs has the fancy shower from Get Famous), but mostly it was a perfectly nice little starter home. She was very pleased with herself. :) Good work Jesse!

B) Then it was over to OXtra for their latest list video – “7 Heartbreaking Boss Fights That Hit You Right in the Feels: Commenter Edition THE RETURN!” A third installment into the boss battles that make you feel sad because oh no the bosses aren’t just your standard horrible monster/person. Like Kwolok from Ori and the Will of the Wisps, who is a big toad guardian friend of Ori’s – up until he gets possessed, and Ori has to beat him up to free him, which results in his death. Or Yhorn, the giant king from Dark Souls III, who tried to be a good king for his people but failed – and worse yet, was friends with everyone’s favorite Onion Bro, who will join you to help kill his old friend as he promised should Yhorn ever become corrupted. :( Or Ellie from The Last of Us Part II, because apparently halfway through the game you switch to the character she’s hunting (who killed Joel at the beginning) and suddenly there’s a big horrible revenge fight where you have to fight against your former player character, and she is not messing around. Suddenly I am very glad the fight with Kellogg in Fallout 4 is not one filled with pathos. Means I don’t have to worry about the feels when I take him down.

C) And finally it was time to actually go to the Subs and watch GrayStillPlays – “everything i draw comes to life” in Draw Story! This is a game where you draw things for a stick student in school to progress his story of being bored in class, sneaking out of class, getting expensive stuff, getting the interest of a girl, and finally WRECKING EVERYTHING WITH A TORNADO. But, for an extra fun twist, the game actually GUESSES at what you’re trying to draw. For example, on the very first screen, where he was told to just draw a circle, Gray drew a turkey – and the game guessed it was a hedgehog. XD (And then judged his actual attempt at a circle as an onion.) Gray promptly began messing with the game as much as possible, seeing what he could get away with. His attempt at drawing a sandal for a “Converse Shoe” prompt, and then making it into a sneaker, got repeated comments about it being a pool; while trying to draw a bracelet with a diamond (and some C-4) on it got him “asparagus” and “carrot.” And a picture of a guy being run over by a motorcycle was labeled “animal migration.” XD Though he DID get the tornado at the end right (complete with a guy and a car swept up into the funnel). So right it crashed his game. XD Which hopefully means there’s more levels for him to complete in the future. . .

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – got everything for this week except Newt’s birthday fic into the queue for Victor Luvs Alice (Smiler Always Chill Save update for tomorrow; Smiler Alton and their deal in a modern human AU for Thursday; some fun incorrect Valicer quotes for Friday; and the 2013 fireworks show with Smiler’s attempted park takeover for Saturday! Newt’s fic has got to join that one)! And on Valice Multiverse, no asks or anythings, so I just found some good VTMB and FO4 stuff to reblog. *nods*

Not bad, not bad at all. I am successfully keeping up with stuff! And now it's time to head to bed so I can do it all over again tomorrow, meeeh. One day closer to the weekend, at least. . .night all!
