Snow! Why do you plague us!

Yes, we are having another snowstorm here. I ended up skipping my night class because my parents didn't want to drive in the stuff. I can't say I blame them, the last time we drove in conditions like these, we nearly got into two accidents. We're supposed to get about 8 to 13 inches of the stuff. *bleah* What do you think, boys?
*pause*
Boys?
*turns to see the Docs, Martys, and Jennifers apparently in catatonic trances*
Great. The thought of more snow broke their minds.
-OD: *tentacles come up holding some spare paper and a pen, Verne writes* You are correct. Father's mind locked up at the word "snow." Should my brothers and I do a reboot?-
O.o Okay, that's technically the right word, but it's really creepy when applied to a human.
-OD: Sorry. Should we attempt it? Or would we hurt Father?
*Tommy takes pen for a moment*
I think it's a bad idea. Father doesn't like it when we interfere with his brain functions-
I agree with Tommy. They'll snap out of it on their own. Are any of the muses up?
-OD: *Albert takes pen* I've seen MiniDamosCrawler, and we believe DocWolf would not be affected by this news, as he is more adapted to this kind of weather.-
True, but he's a Californian at heart. And MiniDamosCrawler is technically from Austraila, he should freeze solid at this news.
-OD: *tentacles shrug* Jules says you should draw to make Father happy.-
Figures. I'm feeling a little blank in the drawing department, unfortunately.
-OD: *Tommy grabs pen* Finish the sock picture! That's funny!
I really should, shouldn't I?
-OD: *tentacles nod*-
Okay then, maybe it'll snap him out of it anyway. Pass over the sketchpad.

Re: for the record
Date: 2005-03-24 03:31 pm (UTC)Well, yes and no.
I've basically lived in three general areas my whole life -- (a) the North Bay in the 80's, which is north of San Francisco; (b) Sacramento until 1996, and now San Jose (approx 50 miles south of SF).
Now, that said, it's gotten pretty cold, but I haven't been in the snow since I was maybe 9, LOL. Well, most of those areas are close to sea level too (it did get very barely below freezing up in Sacramento around 10 years ago, but it never snowed).
Hill Valley is around 70 miles northeast of Sacramento, fairly near Grass Valley (I actually use the town of Nevada City for "my" HV). I lived near Folsom, around 15 miles east of the city, and while it was still a metro area and pretty much sea level, if you started heading 10-20 miles east of there, you'd be heading into the hills.
So, I'd say it's somewhat possible they could get below freezing and a little snow (I'd guess that area to be about 1000 ft elevation, but I'll check)>
PS: Hope that answers ya. Sorry to go off on that geography/personal history lesson, hehe! ;)
