Ended up going to be pretty late last night and sleeping til just after 10 AM -- at least I got a decent eight hours, despite my brain trying to wake me up at 8 AM! And of course the Eternal Period Anticipation has been affecting my energy levels too. . .despite that, though, I had a pretty solid day:

1. Clean my room: Check! Another day with a bit of a late start, but fortunately there wasn’t a lot of dust build-up, so I was able to wrap it up pretty quickly, with all the dusting done before lunch and Swiffering and vacuuming afterward. Biggest problem was trying to figure out the music situation, really (sick of hearing the same songs on the radio; tried to use my iPod but my old headphones were broken and then when I decided to try the earbuds that came with it, found it wasn’t charged; attempted to use phone but got annoyed with how our Ring doorbell alerts kept interrupting the music, so eventually just went for silence). Started around 11 AM, finished just after 2 PM (with a half-hour break for lunch). Not too shabby!

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs (specifically clear out that final Wyrd Sisters Podcast): Check – I have officially cleared out my Subs, yay! (Yeah, okay, so there was only one upload from Gray, meaning it was absurdly easy to catch up on everything at last, but still – nice to have it all properly watched!) We had –

A) First up, that Wyrd Sisters Podcast I’ve been meaning to listen to – the Finale! Or, more accurately, the Finale Part I, because Manning and Liz decided to do a retrospective of the whole series by going through the books and seeing what they could remember about each one – and at the hour and four minute mark in the released version, realized they’d personally been recording for two hours and had only gotten about halfway through the forty-one book series. XD So yeah, the SECOND part of the finale comes at the end of this month. But this was a fun little listen – Liz had to admit to remembering either the early books’ plots or their characters, never both (and completely mixed up Interesting Times with The Truth), and there was a lot of discussion about what books were done well, which ones were kind of meh, and which ones had more problematic elements than they admitted to the first time around (Interesting Times and its depiction of various Asian cultures, ahem ahem). I also got shouted out as a “superfan,” which was nice. :) It’s been a fun ride with these guys, and I’m looking forward to the last half of it!

B) And secondly, we had GrayStillPlays and “Making choices that ruin my life repeatedly” – it’s Run Healthy! Yes, another one of those mobile games, where the twist is you guide a variety of characters who start off as “Ill” across the course to pick up things which are healthy and improve them to “Great” status so they can reach the final multiplier area and consume all the food there. :p Your choices of characters range from anime girl to discount lucha wrestler, and the variety of healthy and unhealthy pick-ups range from apples, cucumbers, and soccer balls (for healthy) to cigarettes, wine, and video game controllers (for unhealthy). Also the coronavirus is hanging out in certain places, but don’t worry, you can knock it out of the way by picking up the mask forcefield. Or kicking it if you’re the luchadore. :p Gray found it all deeply amusing – and even more amusing whenever he broke the game. Managed to yeet someone completely off the board and into the water once by complete accident. XD Hey, uh, swimming is healthy, right? :p

3. Play Sims 4 and have Smiler do some more college stuff, see about werewolfing Alice, and actually experience a haunted night at the house: Check on Smiler’s college adventures and the haunted house, but no werewolf Alice stuff yet – which, honestly, is fine because I don’t know if the stuff I downloaded from Spinning Plumbobs (custom werewolf legs and tails) is okay with the latest patch or not. Hopefully I’ll know by Monday. . .but in the meantime:

Smiler’s College Adventures – Caught up with the trio early Wednesday morning – Victor and Alice got sent off to take a shower, while Smiler did their homework sitting outside in the front yard for no apparent reason. XD I had Alice make some fruit salad for breakfast so she and Victor wouldn’t be constantly eating grand ham dinners (I gotta have them order some proper groceries here soon), while Victor stole Smiler’s yoga mat for a short brain-boosting session, making him decide he liked wellness. Everybody chatted for a while at the breakfast table, then I sent Smiler off to campus to try and get a little school spirit in! They tried starting a school cheer in the cafeteria at the commons, but as there was basically no one around, didn’t meet with much success. I had them hang out and practice their singing for a bit while waiting to start their class (confirming that Alice HAD gone to work in the background and making sure she worked hard), then – after class, during which they got up to level 4 of the Guitar skill, nice – spotted Lilith Pleasant hanging around and sent Smiler over to chat. They ended up becoming good friends as Smiler talked about their new interest in mixology and showed off some photos, and Lilith consented to let Smiler drink from her wrist, yay. Smiler then initiated a MUCH more successful school cheer, double yay. :) I decided after that that they may as well go off and do some tutoring in the Vampire Lore skill, as part of the “Academic” aspiration –

Yeah, uh, that’s not happening again, it takes AGES. Smiler didn’t return from the rabbit hole in the class building until SIX FREAKING PM. After going in there around, what, 1 PM? *huffs* Yeah, maybe if they were still living alone on-campus, but with me trying to juggle their stuff, Victor’s, and Alice’s? Not worth it.

Haunted House – Well, at least Alice got a promotion while Smiler was busy tutoring – she is now a Composition Curator! Meaning she’s only one promotion away from actually maxing out the rabbit hole Artist career. :D This brought in a good chunk of money to the house (plus a new decorative item, some canvases – I put them next to the canvas rack in the barn), and I decided to spend it on some stuff I felt the gang should have – a fabricator, a robot workstation, and a chicken coop! Victor bought four chickens for the coop – three hens, one of each color, and a brown rooster – made a dragon statue at the woodworking bench to increase his handiness, practiced his magic, and did some gardening (while I put some lights in the greenhouse and actually painted the walls, whoops) while Alice played chess (getting her Logic up to 3 and completing a level of “Nerd Brain”) and Smiler did their homework.

And then, finally, the “haunted house” pop-up appeared, yay! I had them all say they could handle it (which I would argue is true) – though I did find it funny I was on Smiler when I chose that option, because Smiler then immediately left for work. XD Yeah, of course THEY could handle it, they were leaving! XD The spooks didn’t show up immediately, though – while I waited, I got Victor and Alice a bunch of reward traits with the points they’d accumulated (Speed Cleaner, Creative Visionary, and Frugal for Alice; Speed Cleaner, Speed Reader, Marketable, and Creative Visionary for Victor), then had Victor make his first candle at the candle-making station and tinker around with the robotics station while Alice painted for work.

And then, after checking in on Victor at the robot station, I looked over and found Alice conversing with a specter! :D A cute little green blob who seemed to approve of Alice’s conversational skills. :) Though apparently, Alice getting friendly with the supernatural was a bridge too far for her lifestyle – both she and Victor have lost “Close-Knit” now. Honestly, given how often Victor was getting super tense from having too many friends at like five people, I’m fine to see it go. Means now I can just have Alice befriend a werewolf to get chomped if she wants! Anyway, she finished off her paintings for work, and then I sent her upstairs to go work on a new book – “Solve Your Problems Through Mental Stabbing,” a motivational book. XD Though annoyingly she kept abandoning it to go try and talk to the specters. Keep your mind on your work, Alice – specters are Victor’s thing!

Speaking of which, once he was done tinkering (badly) at the robot work station, Victor went ahead and presented one of the little roaming ghost blobs with his handmade candle – a gift that was received well, happily! And, amusingly, the little guy gave him a gift in kind – wraith wax! So now Victor can mold spectral candles if he so wishes. :) I left it there after noticing Victor’s umbrella had reverted to black and having him pick his old blue one out of the umbrella stand. Next time, I think we’ll focus more on Alice becoming a werewolf, and pick up a wand, broom, and séance table for Victor!

4. Work on the Blades in the Dark Valicer thing: Check! Ended up getting to this a bit later than I intended, but I did put in both Victor and Alice’s lists of special items they get as a Whisper and a Cutter respectively (Smiler’s going to be more interesting as they’re MOSTLY a Slide but have a few Leech traits, like the alchemy stuff – so I might look at both those lists and substitute in something from the Leech loadout for their stuff), do Victor’s backstory in this world (still the son of a famous cannery owner – the fluff section on Duskwall food did NOT indicate that they had canned goods, so William can be in on the ground floor with that idea!), and do a proper write-up of how the three met (basically it’s near the end of A:MR for Alice – she’s on the hunt for help with dealing with Bumby – and midway through the CB equivalent for Victor – he’s just escaped Emily and gotten back into the Land of the Living; Smiler’s just doing their thing and happened to be offering help to Alice when Victor stumbled out of the wall; cue them taking him to the Mangled Mermaid to recover, where Emily finds them and Smiler has to remind her that living people need to eat and sleep and stuff; THEN cue Victor finding out about Victoria’s recent marriage and Emily realizing the guy sounds like her murderer, them crashing the reception, and Emily sacrificing herself to kill Barkis). Good stuff, and nice to get it down and out of my head!

Additionally:

-->Another nice day, so we had our traditional five rounds of beanbags late this afternoon! Dad had the best day, though I managed to have a great third and fifth game and Mom at least managed to improve from losing every game to coming second a couple of times – final scores were me 2-2-W-3-W; Dad W-W-2-W-3; Mom 3-3-3-2-2. Perhaps tomorrow you’ll be on your game again, Mom!

-->Decided to get the pictures for the next Chill Save update sorted early this time – three posts worth of Valicer adventures with everyone settling into the new house and Victor becoming a spellcaster. :)

Not too shabby at all! Nice to get back to the Valicer Sims, though I'm hoping to do more romantic stuff with them soon. . .of course, Love Day is coming up in a couple of play sessions, so that'll make things easier. XD

As it stands right now, though, I'm busy doing other stuff, including trying to keep up on being social, sooo let me get the Fallout Sunday to-do list sorted:

1. Keep up with the FO4 Playthrough Progression

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs, Jon's Fallout Shelter and "Legendary Roulette" videos

3. Play Fallout 4 and see about maybe doing some of the USS Constitution quests

4. Work on tumblr drafts

5. Get in a workout

Yes, I found ANOTHER past Jon video about a Fallout-related game that I wanted to watch. At least this one isn't the surprise start to a mini-series, I checked. XD And yes, we'll see if (when) I get sucked into doing cool robot stuff for cool robots. :p Night all!
