A nice day in Strangetown

crossover_chickPopped over to Strangetown today to work with the Browns. Everyone interacted with Eileen through Friday night and into Saturday. Marty talked to her while Doc held her, then called his friend Kendal to play catch-up with their friendship. Doc fed Eileen as well -- I didn't want a thing happening to her while I couldn't see her needs.
Doc then did more yoga for a body point while Lorraine got up for the night to take care of the baby. After changing her and cuddling her, I had Lorraine check their food supply. Down to 26 food points -- not good. Since everyone else was sleeping, I had her call up the taxi and go shopping in 88 Road to Nowhere. Once the fridge was restocked and everyone was greened, Marty had his new pal Edward over. They cemented their friendship with some chat and jokes, and Marty busted a move for him. Meanwhile, I sent George to play bass for fun. Doc joined him on piano. Seeing a photo op, I had Marty quickly eat some grilled cheese and join them on guitar.
-M: Hey, that's pretty cool. Too bad Mom couldn't join us.-
Alas, it was over too soon -- Eileen needed a diaper change. George obliged, and Marty finished his grilled cheese while Doc entertained the baby.
George and Eileen made friends, which was nice, and Eileen was bathed and laid down for a nap. Doc had Mystie over, satisfied some flirtious wants with her, then sent her on her way, while Marty, having bathed, used his cell to call Tina and Opehelia. Clara also gave George a ring. Marty did the good big-brother thing and tucked in Eileen.
-Jennifers: Awwwww-
-Martys: *blush*-
About that time, I got the message saying that Eileen would have a birthday in one day. I decided there was nothing wrong with growing her up early, bought the cake, and let Doc have the honor of taking her over.
-D: Nice, but why am I in my gym suit?-
More yoga. I like yoga, it's less of a strain on the Sims than regular workout. Anyway, they celebrated, and Eileen grew up into a chubby-cheeked toddler.
-M2: Cute!-
-VM: Yeah, kinda takes after Mom.-
Yeah, I thought so. Anyway, I noticed that Eileen's bladder need was low when she transitioned, so I promptly bought a potty and had Lorraine start training. Next time I play, I'll grab some Smart Milk and work on Toddler skills. I've also had Lorraine and Marty age-transtion back -- Marty's actually starting teenagerness all over again. :p
After playing them, I figured I should pay attention to some of my other families, so I played a quiet day at the Claytons. Clara learned how to make Lobster Thermidor in the wee hours of the morning, then she and Jennifer retired to be fresh for the day ahead. It was basically a "catch up with friends day" -- Clara had Lorraine over and called Doc. Jennifer had Marty over and called Abijeet. The toilet also got clogged, and I upgraded their kitchen a little -- with a diswasher and a new, more expensive stove.

Hey, you guys can afford it, you've got over 50,000 simoleons stashed away.
After that, it was off to Twin Oaks Park. I got my head shot of Emily for my website, then organized all the pictures I took into an album for Emmett. Then it was over to the college to create Holly. I went into Create a Sim, got Holly out of the Sim Bin, went to give her the darker violet eyes -- and noticed two things:
1. The two custom eyes are pupilless. That I could live with.
2. The two custom eyes make the whole face worse graphic-wise. That I couldn't.
So, I gave Holly grey eyes -- and discovered I liked her with grey eyes. They just seem to fit her. :D All of her clothing is black, except for her swimsuit -- that's red because there's no black option. She's a knowledge Sim, 2 Sloppy, 6 Outgoing, 3 Lazy, 7 Playful, 7 Nice. She has 500 simoleons in the bank, so I think I'll have her hang out in the Sim Bin until I can merge her into Emily and Emmett's on-campus home. Here she is:

:p Next time, I'll make Donald, Jill, and Lucy. Right now, I have to write more BTTX-2 before MDC gets any ideas.
