crossover_chick: Alice (Wonderland) looking kind of confused (AMA: WTFery?)

It seems this is going to be a rainy winter instead of a snowy one, and let me tell you, it is coming DOWN now. O.o I'm starting to worry stuff might flood if it keeps up like this. . .and if it gets any colder, we might be dealing with a whole lot of ice later. . . *grimace* We'll see what happens, I guess.

Anyway -- had a day, let me tell you about it:

Work – Eh, all right. Only a couple of credit card calls, but I also had one lady ranting to me about an issue at one of the local cemeteries, and that stupid work event next week is really starting to LOOOM. . .still, had what I hope is a productive chat with the Give Central person today, and I got some more duplicates sorted, so that’s something. One more day!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – more time on the bike, more time with James Turner’s High School Years Rags To Riches generational epic! I finished Episode 17 and got about halfway through Episode 18 today – biggest things to report are Reginald impressing his boss with some schmoozing and becoming a Rising Star, fame-wise (also James attempted to clear his “No Touching” Quirk with a Celebrity Cleanse, only to learn that only resets your fame perk points, not your quirks – you need Quirk-B-Gone for that) and Reginald becoming best friends with his potential new squeeze Kevin, learning all about him (he’s Active, High Maintenance, and a Recycle Disciple, is in the Athlete career, and his starting aspiration is Lord of the Knits), and then inviting him to live with him (after James checked to make sure Kevin wasn’t married) and giving him a much-needed makeover (Kevin’s fashion sense was – well, it’s worse than Smiler’s. XD James gave him a few more decent-looking options, at least!). Reginald also went over to visit Sidney, who is now living in Copperdale again, but the relationship is a bit strained – James thinks the endgame as of this episode will be Sidney getting together with the old “school bully” Ava, while Reginald gets together with Kevin, and then perhaps their children will go to school together… But that’s many, many episodes off. I’ll finish off Reginald and Kevin’s adventures tomorrow, and the next week, we’re back to the Bladeventurers for a little while! Been missing the Blades in the Dark OX crew...

2. Continue writing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland:” Check – after some banter with Rabbit about his tendency to run off too far ahead (and how he’s still better than Dormy for navigating the maze of Los Angeles alleys), Alice has found her way to the old lady who points you in the direction of Tin Can Bill, and – well, been pointed in the direction of Tin Can Bill, for the price of 15 bucks. :p And while I moved the actual homeless encampment where the lady lives to be farther away from The Last Round, Tin Can Bill himself is still in the alley nearby. As Alice noted, it’s a bit embarrassing that one of the original infectees is so close to The Last Round itself. . .but as she will learn, it’s less embarrassing than having plaguebearer headquarters be ACROSS THE STREET FROM YOU, STRAUSS. *shakehead* That’s for later, though – for now, we move to Tin Can Bill and his tale of woe on Saturday!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Easy today, as there were no uploads, not even a SKETCHY or a GrayStillPlays short. So I kept it light with yesterday’s Gray and something out of the Watch Later –

A) First up, an OXtra list from a couple of days ago – “7 Games You Can Fail Before They Even Start!” Yes, Ellen and Luke showing off a few games that you can end before you even really begin (at least one playthrough). Think you can get around Monika ruining things by deleting her character file before booting up a copy of Doki Doki Literature Club? Unfortunately childhood friend Sayori somehow gets her medium awareness as a result and freaks out so hard it crashes the game. Want to tell Metroid to ENGAGE RIDLEY MOTHER FUCKER in the password screen? Congratulations, you’ve given the game an impossible “save state” to load and it will either crash or trap Samus in a glitch world forever. And, of course, we had the fact that you can get yourself decapitated by helicopter before even reaching the testing facility where the action really kicks off in Prey (2017). Bottom line, if you have very little time for gaming, perhaps one of these “quick fails” is for you. XD

B) And then it was over to GrayStillPlays for “When your parents belong in prison,” aka Gray plays Parenting Choices! This is a multiple-choice mobile game where you are a mom, and you are tasked with raising a baby poofed out of the ether, and you must make the right choices to balance the baby’s smarts, health, and sense of justice. Any meter goes too low, it’s broken and you have to retry. ...Gray immediately put the child in a cardboard box to sleep in for his first choice, and things didn’t really improve from there. XD I mean, he did his best to keep the kid ALIVE, just because if he didn’t the game would end, but he papered the kid’s room in nightmare clowns; gave them mustard instead of milk when they cried; covered a bad haircut with a watermelon helmet; let them believe their mother was the fridge (dressed in Mom’s clothes); tried to lull them to sleep with death metal; constantly forbade them from ever having friends; told them to study for ten hours when they started school; and gave them more vegetables for dessert. Truly a heinous upbringing. XD But that is the GrayStillPlays way!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – didn’t have any asks or threads going on for Valice Multiverse, so I ended up putting my master post of ships from Victor Luvs Alice into the queue. *shrugs* It’s relevant to my RP verses!

Oh, and in non-tumblr news, finally answered Ace’s FF.net PM, hooray! So that’s another thing off my plate. :)

Hooray for accomplishing things! And now I have to wrap up and head to bed and hope that the house doesn't float away. O.o Night all!
