It's 1/21, as in 1.21 jigowatts, so yes, might as well grab the 10:04 PM timestamp while I'm here. :p I will now go off and complete my YouTube watching for the day, and will return when I am actually ready to update! :p

[time passes]

Okay, it is now 11:47 PM, and I am back with the aforementioned update --

Tumblr: Unfortunately, a late start this morning (I had to chop up stuff for a smoothie, which always takes a while, and of course Saturday is always “change sheets day” even if it isn’t a full Cleaning Saturday) meant that I didn’t do a proper dash-and-tags catch-up on Victor Luvs Alice. I DID, however, get all my pictures for the next Chill Save update (the pets integrating into the household, Alice getting her final promotion, all the chickens dying) sorted after Simming (along with moving all of last year’s screenshots into my archive folder to keep the main screenshots folder from getting too bloated), then did the rough drafts of the posts with pictures and starter text after YouTube! I also know exactly what Friday’s post is going to be (a link to my very first posted Valice fic, “Suffocating”), so now I just have to figure out what I’m going to post on Thursday and Saturday on VLA. . .hmmm. . .

(Oh, and there is still nothing happening on Valice Multiverse. We’ll see if I come up with something to queue up there before I go to bed!)

Sims 4: Played after lunch, and as today was the first Saturday after a patch, and from a quick look I could see not ALL of my mods had been cleared for said patch yet (most have been, but I think there’s a handful of holdouts – plus I have to update a couple), I went into building mode for this playsession! Specifically, I had two distinct goals for today, and they just so happened to both involve the same lot – my Camper Slip 42 lot in StrangerVille! (Where I was building that tiny converted camper house in the trailer park, remember?) My aims were simple –

A) Goal One: get the original version of the lot up on the Gallery! Since I’d removed all my mods and CC, this was the safest time for me to upload it. First, though, I made a few tweaks to the lot – primarily, adding in a laundry hamper so the washbin and line I’d put in previously were actually FUNCTIONAL instead of just nice decorative objects. After trying to fit the hamper in inside, I got concerned about Sims being unable to walk around it and finally just plopped it outdoors, underneath the open window under the awning. Just pretend Sims throw their clothes through the window. XD I also added a small patio table and summer drinks tray to the little sitting area out by the fence; put a bicycle by the trash bin; swapped out the “standard” mailbox for the Oasis Springs one (it’s the other desert world one, and it just looks better); and painted a faint path across the yard to suggest Sims having worn away the grass there going to and fro. :) Once that was all done, I went ahead and slapped it up on the Gallery – it’s called, of course “Camper Slip 42,” by AliceNVictor, and it has a value of $13,448 as per the game. It’s also a Tiny Living micro home and has all those bonuses (the fenced yard outside doesn’t count toward the footprint because the fences don’t form a “room” – they’re just three pieces put together). The furnishings instead are kinda cheap, but it’s intended as a starter home for one or two Sims who are looking to live the tiny lifestyle. If you’re interested, go check it out!

B) Goal Two: make a HORRIBLE version of the lot for challenge purposes. XD Yeah, I’ve been banding around this idea for a really rough take on the “Every Lot Challenge Challenge” (or, as I prefer to call it, “The Worst Lot In The World Challenge”) that ALSO involves treating the lot like a Fallout 4-style settlement and doesn’t allow you to take traditional jobs and all that, so I figured I’d make a nasty variation on “Camper Slip 42” to have just in case that ever got off the ground. XD This involved removing almost all the furnishings – I left the bunk beds (though I did recolor them), one counter, the bathroom mirror, the laundry stuff, and the woodworking bench – and rearranging what was left; taking out the nice lights and replacing them with off-the-grid-capable lights (lanterns hanging on sticks for outdoors, mainly along the fence, and freestanding lanterns indoors – I bought a couple of older-looking accent tables for a few so they wouldn’t just be sitting on the floor); replacing the fridge and stove with a cooler (the toilet was already taken care of as I’d included a pee bush on the lot previously); taking away the solar panel roof (though I WAS nice enough to leave the water collector); changing the nice StrangerVille picket fence for the somewhat grodier Werewolves fence and making the various bits cover a larger area; removing the yard terrain paint entirely; and adding in a chicken coop, a candle-making bench, a tent (in the most awful purple leopard-print I could find, because a) hilarity and b) MacCready in FO4 mentions wanting to paper a camper in something similar if you take him to a trailer park in that game, so shout-out to everyone’s favorite sniper), three in-ground garden plots from Cottage Living, and a selling table from City Living. I don’t know if it’s QUITE in its final form yet, but it’s pretty close, and I’m happy with it for now. XD It’s something to fiddle with the next time a patch comes around, at any rate!

Writing: Got another page on “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland” after Simming (and getting all those Chill Save pictures sorted) – Alice found her way to Tin Can Bill, listened to his story, and then had the poor guy die right in front of her. Ouch. :( She is not happy with how things are going with this damn plaguebearer cult – but on the plus side, she knows who she is looking for (a Nosferatu) and where (in the sewers). She’s not going to be able to take out Brother Kanker before the end of this chapter, I think, but she’s definitely going to do so in the next one – and quite enjoy it too. And then it’s after the head honcho himself. . .

YouTube: Got through pretty much everything I wanted to get through today – I still have one last OXBox list in the Watch Later, but I cleared out the other stuff AND fully caught up on Subs, yay –

A) Started before my shower with another onlyabidoang video – “The Sims 4: 50 MORE CROSS PACK FEATURES!” Yup, another list of 50 pack features that interact with other packs. Again, ranging from the obvious (laundry from Laundry Day hung out to dry on the clothesline will get wet again if it starts raining thanks to Seasons; the eco footprint feature from Eco Lifestyle affects all worlds, and some worlds even start with specific footprints – like the Bramblewood in Henford-on-Bagley in Cottage Living starts green) to the less-well-known (cats can “hunt” the mice that come out of the mouse hole decoration from City Living; hot and cold drinks from cafes can affect Sim temperatures (so if you want to save a Sim from freezing, having them get a hot coffee is actually a feasible solution); dogs can go on a hike with Sims in Mt. Komorebi in Snowy Escape and it’s honestly quite cute), to the “this feels like a technicality” (pets can walk up and down the aisle in My Wedding Stories, and if you have the right mod or use the debug cheats, you can get a large dog to be your Sims’ flower pal at their wedding). Good stuff – it’s always great to see the packs playing nice with each other.

B) Then after supper, we had the latest AT4W – “Star Wars: A New Hope Comic Adaptation!” The ORIGINAL six-issue series, mind you, that started coming out slightly before the movie – yes, even the comic has remastered editions! One that redid the inking from the pencils and corrected some colors; one that was specifically an adaptation of the new special edition. But Linkara wanted to review the classic one, and – all in all, it was pretty good! As it was based on an early cut of the movie, some things were off – classic lines weren’t phrased correctly, certain scenes playing out a bit differently, and because this was before the “they’re twins” decision, a LOT of Luke and Leia kissing – but it also had some fun stuff, like a scene cut from the movie which actually properly establishes Luke’s friend Biggs (here given the ridiculous last name of “Darklighter”), who has become a pilot in the Empire but is planning to sneak off and join the Rebels. Gives us more reason to care about his death! It’s not perfect, but it’s not horrible either – if you’re a Star Wars fan, it might be worth looking up!

C) Then it was over to the Subs for Call Me Kevin’s latest – “This modpack completely changes Stardew Valley!” AKA Kevin plays Stardew Valley Expanded, a mod that adds a bunch of new locations, improves a bunch more, introduces new NPCs and quests, expands the farm, and basically just adds a whole load of stuff to the game! Kevin promptly made himself “best farmer” (who, through the mysteries of character creation, somehow became a duck-person with a bill instead of nose), who lived on “ENHANCED” farm, and started exploring! Highlights of his adventures included his attempts to get to Grandpa’s shed in the mountains (he had to upgrade his axe just to get to the greenhouse, and he still hasn’t found the proper path to it); supporting Joja Mart because they ACTUALLY have cheaper prices in this mod (and Morris, the owner, actually gets a proper office and a birthday! Kevin refused to get him a present, though); discovering the existence of new NPC Susan, trapped on her farm due to a Joja-induced landslide, and worrying loads about her until the landslide was cleared and she was freed – and then getting an awesome sword from the graveyard on the side of her property; planting cauliflower and corn to try and make a profit and fund the construction of a chicken coop while continually bitching about how much better everyone else’s farms were compared to his; failing to find enough eggs to win the Egg Hunt; failing to get a dance partner for the Flower Dance; ruining the town’s Luau potluck stew with his sap (and making the Governor pass out); joining the Adventurer’s Guild; becoming an apprentice to the local wizard; and spending at least half his time fighting monsters and breaking rocks in the mines looking for good ores and living off cave carrots to keep up his failing energy. XD It looks like a really fun mod, and Kevin doesn’t even think we’ve seen most of it yet! Time to start a new miniseries, perhaps?

D) And finally we had GrayStillPlays and his video of the day – “When you prank your boss,” aka Gray plays Hyper PA! This is a mobile game all about being a personal assistant to a horrible boss (whom you learn about halfway through is planning to steal money from the company to buy a supercar and blame you for it), and you have the choice of being a good PA who does things like apologize for being late and drives her boss home from work carefully, or a horrible PA who claims she was attacked by a raccoon to explain her lateness, drives like a total maniac and leaves her boss in the resultant wreck, insults his kids, makes sure to send his girlfriend the confidential files that were supposed to go to his accountant and his accountant the underwear that was supposed to go to his girlfriend, buys a child’s ballerina outfit for his wife for their anniversary, hires a plumber who works naked, and tries to kill him with a rocket strapped to his chair while he’s entertaining the big boss. Guess which one Gray chose. XD Though he’d occasionally pick a good option, like adopting a stray dog that ended up in the office and agreeing to help fund his friend Dave’s billion-dollar “food that gives you superpowers” idea. But mostly it was all evil, all the time, until he earned his devil horns and a promotion to rookie assistant. XD The GrayStillPlays workplace, everyone!

*nods* Not bad -- even if I didn't get as much done on tumblr as I might have wanted, I did get my next Chill Save update started, and I did really well clearing stuff out on YouTube. Hopefully tomorrow I can get that last OXBox list and keep up on Kevin and Gray as well as Jon. . . Other goals are to get the Chill Save posts completed, and at least GET to the Castle in Fallout 4 and update the Playthrough Progression appropriately. If I can blow up the Mirelurk Queen, great, but if I can't, that's okay too -- I just want to be in position at least! *nods* I feel like this is all reasonable.

And now it is time to go off and be social again until I head to bed. :P Night all!
