And a somewhat less stressful one, which I very much appreciate --

Work – Well, at least it was drier today, though the traffic during my commutes still wasn’t great. Day itself was all right, with a good portion of it being just duplicates – there was some credit card bullshit, though, mainly related to how scheduled payments can be a total mess, but there’s not much I can do about that right at the moment. Maybe I can bring it up to the supervisor tomorrow, and the credit card people on Thursday. . .we’ll see.

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, another night with James Turner and –

A) “Two families coming together at last! Dine Out (Part 5)” – finished off this episode today, which featured –

I. Addison and Hilary’s wedding! Which didn’t go QUITE as poorly as I expected, but was still not exactly smooth – James was able to add most of the invited guests to Addison and Hilary’s groups and get them to come upstairs and sit down in front of the arch, but the majority of them were playing on their phones while the ceremony started, and a couple of people just straight-up got up and left midway through. At least Breanne, Reginald, and Column stayed through the whole thing! XD Also, James forgot to serve the wedding cake afterward, so that just got plopped in the restaurant for sampling at random. :p

II. More construction on their house – after the wedding, James decided to use some of the funds he’d picked up recently to start building up their $0-home some more, and managed to complete the ground floor and garage, and even furnish it a little bit with a cheap kitchen and the chair and lamp Addison picked up at the Flea Market in the “living room” (along with a stereo Addison had on them for some reason). House is slowly but surely coming together!

III. James ATTEMPTING to open the restaurant, only to run into a problem – namely, his chefs have bugged out. Agatha showed up for work, but couldn’t actually be interacted with in a work-related capacity (no ability to praise or train her), so Addison fired her and hired another Agatha – only to have the same problem. James thought it was a result of him constantly hiring Agatha clones and tried an entirely different Sim. . .only for her to just straight-up vanish when James tried opening. So Addison had to hop back on the chef station again (getting to Gourmet Cooking level 7) while Hilary did the hostess stuff. James also had some trouble with the take-out orders – while a couple were picked up early on, he ended up with three bags just sitting on the counter by the end of the day, which he ended up shunting into a random Sim’s inventory. I think THAT might be related to the fact that the bags were made after he disallowed new customers coming in – can’t have the bags picked up if the Sim taking them isn’t allowed to spawn! James still made a great profit on the day, granted, but he’s thinking he might turn take-out orders off for the time being to make things easier. We’ll see what happens in the next episode!

B) “Building our first photo set! High School Years (Part 45)” – and started this episode today, switching back to Breanne and her adventures! Which so far have consisted of grabbing another Sim off the street to complete a gig (and attempting to flirt with her afterward – lady was immune to her charms, though); visiting Chez Semaj to mingle with other celebrities and try to find one that she could bond with (she did in the end, but the girl she picked to attempt to flirt with over salad back at her place proved to be unemployed and Evil – Breanne knows how to pick ‘em); and grabbing another group of Sims off the street to take pictures of to try and improve her photography skill (which is going well in getting the skill, but not so great in getting good group shots of the three). XD On the plus side, James DID give her a proper bathroom, and her own desk and laptop for submitting photos – and on Rebate Day no less, meaning she got some money back from those purchases. Sweet. :p We’ll see how things go, and what the first proper photo set looks like, tomorrow!

2. Continue writing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – Alice has reached the hospital, and run into one Simon Milligan! Or, rather, I had him literally run into her as he fled the monster that claimed his crew. In this universe, he actually made it outside (nearly bowling Alice over as he escaped out the door), babbled at her about how he and his crew were setting up for a new episode of “Haunted LA” but then SOMETHING started making his crew vanish, and then book it because he was scared almost out of his mind. And Alice, realizing that he almost certainly ran into something supernatural, decided “well, I’m probably going to be asked to investigate ANYWAY” and headed in for a look. Currently she’s in the hallway, ready to try and find a way around the weird barrier blocking half of it – let the spooky trip through the spooky hospital commence!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – two in, two out for this Tuesday –

A) First up, Josh Way and “SKETCHY: Pikmin 4!” Josh doing a scene from his probable Game Of The Year, Pikmin 4, featuring his player character (in its fuzziest state) riding an alien plant-dog creature and commanding an army of basic red and blue ice Pikmin creatures against an alien fanged toad-like thing. Very silly, very fun drawing, even if Josh wishes he’d made it a little more 3-D instead of sticking with flat lines, and always nice to hear him gush about how much he loves this new game in the series and how he’s really glad Nintendo made it more accessible to “dad gamers” like him as compared to the older titles. :)

B) And second up, GrayStillPlays and “When you're eaten alive,” aka Gray plays Happy Wheels! And we had a lovely torturous episode for Gray this week, with Double Dylan! Started off with a beach-themed bottle throw, where Gray had to do things like bring in a boat, cross a red line into the highrise buildings, and bonk a bottle off the sun (first Dylan board), then moved on through an “old man swing” (where Gray had to swing on old hobos hanging from chains in a grotesque parody of the rope swing); a 95% impossible rope swing (which required Gray to swing, fall, swing again, and then enter a cannon in JUST the right position to thumbnail hole his way to the win – he lost his arms at the last minute, but he DID get it); a shockingly-difficult Mario Bros themed pogo parkour (difficult mostly because Mario and Luigi-themed butcher’s cleavers kept falling from the sky, and also there was a wildly spinning axe at the end); a fairly easy 3-D Land board (enjoy the cool 3-D-looking blocks and just get the ball in the cup); a fiendishly-difficult SIDEWAYS Pogo Fight (forcing Gray to fall onto his opponents as he went down, which more often than not resulted in at least one knife up the butt – he did it, but it was TRICKY); another pretty simple BMX board (bounce off the thing, go around the loop, don’t look at your exploded wife-bits as you hit the win); a REALLY difficult Jet Run (with not only loads of jets, but also a booster right in front of them to make sure you hit them at TOP SPEED – plus a secret “GSP Curiosity Win,” as Gray’s fanbase knows him by this point XD); and a trip through Santa’s digestive system featuring bladed cookies, gingerbread men with crossbows, and Flappy Bird-style candy cane pillars (second Dylan board – Gray’s pogo stick broke RIGHT before the end! Fortunately he no longer needed it at that point). Dylan’s boards remain fantastically-deadly visual treats, and the rest of the community is doing pretty good too – gotta keep up with Alex and his GTA V torture, of course!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check, on both tumblrs –

Victor Luvs Alice – Queued up my “Sims 4 Valicer Outfit Fun II – CC Edition” post, then decided the next two days would be “cool recreations of the Santa Monica haven from VTMB” and queued up a post showing someone’s recreation in Sims 4 for Thursday and one in another modeling program (I’m not sure what, but it’s a vaguely isometric style) for Friday. And then reblogged an electric string quartet cover of “Rock Me Amadeus” I’ve shown off before for Saturday because I heard the actual song by Falco semi-recently and quite enjoyed it, so it was on my mind. XD So that’s the rest of this entire week taken care of, w000~

Valice Multiverse – No real activity over here, so I just put my latest set of Incorrect Valicer Quotes into the queue. And then went and looked at the generator they all came from again, which resulted in me generating a whole bunch more. XD So, uh, got all THOSE ready for a follow-up at some point!

Not bad, not bad at all -- and it was very fun generating all those new quotes. XD And now it is time for me to wrap things up and get to bed, because sleep is important. We'll see what tomorrow brings, and if I have to basically float home after work. . .night all!
