Yeah, weather was actually halfway decent today -- gotta enjoy it while it lasts, though, because it looks like by the end of Saturday the rain is coming back. *sigh* Apparently this has already been like the wettest summer we've ever had, and fall is looking to follow the trend. . .we can only keep our fingers crossed that winter DOESN'T. Yeeps. . .

In the meantime, though, the weather is nice, and my to-do list is conquered --

Work – A full eight-hour day because there were no weather events to worry about, but a fairly quiet one – spent most of it working on my spreadsheet of paused pledges, with just a couple of phone calls to break things up. *shrug* Could have been worse I suppose! Think it helped that today the talky coworker left early for a doctor's appointment. . .we’ll see how tomorrow and Thursday go!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, another night with GrayStillPlays’s “I found the best rated mobile games so you don't have to” compilation! I’ve finished up the golf game (with Gray unlocking the Lava Planet and the Rainbow Planet to smack balls around at lightspeed, killing all the local bird life in the process) and we’re back to the horrible “eating simulator” game, with Gray forcing banana peels, popcorn kernels, and whole watermelons down the most terrifying clip art with esophageal tunnels cut into them that you’ve ever seen. Seriously, that game could moonlight as a weird-ass horror game and nobody would blink an eye. XD We’ll be finishing off this compilation tomorrow, and then it’s back to James for the rest of the week for a couple more HSY/DOR episodes!

2. Continue writing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – Alice has officially met Pisha, who has informed her that she’s in town hunting down occult relics, and she has artifacts of her own to trade for anyone who can find them for her. . .but first, the little matter of Simon Milligan must be dealt with. Namely, Pisha wants to devour him to protect the Masquerade. Alice has pointedly NOT said that she’s sending Simon back to her, but has agreed to locate him just because of the Masquerade risk. Fortunately, Wonderland’s about to remind her that she has a “wizard-king” that she can consult with if she needs to. . .hell, she wanted to see Strauss anyway to figure out what was going on with drinking Victor’s blood earlier, so. . .

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check plus – found the time to fit in a quick bonus video too –

A) First up, something I spotted in my Recommendeds – “Alton Towers - THE SMILER REMIX | Morgan Dunn!” Morgan here did a remix of The Smiler theme tune, using their own laughter (from getting tickled) in it. Came out pretty well, and it had a very appropriately trippy video attached to it. :) I’m always down for discovering some new Smiler content!

B) And second up, from the Subs, we had GrayStillPlays and “When you eat the known universe,” aka Gray plays more Happy Wheels! We had some fun ones today, starting with a Floridian backyard bottle throw (with random devil totems rising from the ground and Gray winning by being exploded), then moving on through a long jump board for Nixon and his Segway (he lost a foot but made all the jumps first try!); an EXTREMELY dangerous neon rope swing with battleaxes and spiky thumbnail funnels (and a cannon that took Gray’s arms but still put him on the win); a much simpler and nicer gray rope swing (this time Gray just got yeeted by the cannon instead of being half-murdered by it); a glass-break board featuring regular wall glass breaks, spinning glass breaks, a glass fall, spinning bottles, and a glass bridge that got gradually thinner the farther along Gray went (the spinning glass breaks and the glass fall gave Gray a LOT of trouble – and his attempt to cheat it just sent him crashing through the glass bridge, meaning he had to do it legit); a very painful and very colorful jet fall (Gray ended up minced by the jets a LOT, but eventually made it to the bottom alive, if minus some limbs); a relatively chill zero-gravity board where Gray just had to hitch a ride with some objects to float to the end (I say RELATIVELY because there was a single sword hidden among the soccer balls that got thrown at Gray); a bottle run with a custom car with a jet boost and a crossbow (Gray once again won in pieces, but he did win); and the Dylan board of the week – a pastiche of Eating Simulator, complete with terrifying weird clip-art person and a variety of foods Gray could only pick up and move with the arrow keys to simulate the terrible controls of the original game (though, weirdly, Gray didn’t seem to recognize the board’s inspiration, instead comparing it to QWOP and Manual Manuel (those games where you have to move people’s body parts individually)). Good stuff, as always – we have some very talented creators in the HW community!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check –

Victor Luvs Alice – after catching up with my dash, dropped the five posts for this week’s Chill Valicer Save update into the queue for tomorrow, along with a reblog of someone’s post regarding how the Alice from the original books was constantly like “if not for my rigid Victorian upbringing, you would be dead now” (to which I added a shot of Alice in A:MR fighting ruins with the text “guess whose rigid Victorian upbringing got FUCKING CANCELED”) for Thursday and a reblog of another person’s post on how the Corpse Bride trio should have been polyamorous (same, person, same) for Friday. :) That’ll do for now – just gotta figure out Song Saturday and I’ll be set for the week!

Valice Multiverse – Not really anything going on here – ended up shooting a photo set of the Museum of Natural History from VTMB and the fake iPhone notifications image Marie made in response to my emoji the other day into the queue for tomorrow. Better than nothing!

*nods* Not bad, not bad -- and hey, I'm pretty early over here too! So that's good. :) Gonna see if I can fit in some clips of Victor and Alice on YouTube, then hit the sheets. Night all!
