Bit Of A Tired Friday

crossover_chickBeen having a bit of trouble getting to sleep at night lately -- hopefully I'll manage better tonight! At least it's the weekend, when I can sleep in a little if I so choose. . . Anyway, here's how my day went --
Work – We’ll call this one an “eh” day – it wasn’t great, but it did go by fairly fast, which I appreciated. Spent most of my day on the GL (we had a LOT of credit card batches process yesterday), with some interruptions for credit card calls, then did the day’s checks and updated various things before working my way home on the backed-up roads. *shrug* I guess I’ll take it over a Friday that drags on forever!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – last night on the bike this week, focusing on the following Sims 4 videos because that’s what I’ll be playing tomorrow –
A) “I stole all the Pancakes furniture to fill my apartment” by James Turner! One of his “early access” For Rent videos, this one saw him build a “granny flat” (a tiny house out in the backyard) around the back of the Pancakes house, move his self Sim (equipped with the “Kleptomaniac” and “Nosy” traits) into said Granny flat – then spend all of his time breaking into the Pancakes’ place to steal as much of their shit as he possibly could. XD He was able to successfully steal some furniture (an armchair and a small couch) and artwork (various pictures and posters on the wall), and even got their microwave, easel, and barbecue when James found that live-draggable objects could just go in his Sim’s inventory. However, due to game shenanigans (he couldn’t steal anything from the house’s first floor at first because it was a “shared space” – and then the game just wouldn’t let him steal anything from it no matter what he tried) and the limitations of the “Kleptomaniac” swiping, James ended up just cheating and using build mode to cram all the Pancakes’ furniture into the tiny house he’d built for himself. And then discovered, to his shocked delight, that he could actually LIVE in the house with only a little rejiggering of a few objects (like swapping the fridge and the microwave so he could open the fridge without a chair being in the way). It was delightfully chaotic and I enjoyed it a lot – very tempted to just go ahead and buy For Rent tomorrow, gonna be honest.
B) “10 Ways To Clean Up Sulani | The Sims 4 Guide” by Petey Plays It! Just a little something to fill out the time, showing off various ways to clean up Sulani’s big Mua Pel’am island and improve the ecosystem – some all Sims could do (like combing the beach for trash and cleaning up ash piles near the big volcano), and some unique to sims in the Conservationist career (like writing conservation articles and papers, encouraging other Sims to car about conservation, and filming nature documentaries). Nothing too exciting, though it was nice to learn about all the ways you can improve the island.
2. Continue writing “Start At The Beginning. . .Sort Of”: Check – Victor has managed to explain to Emily about his engagement, and how he came to be on her street – and to Alice about how he could leave a lit candle on his future mother-in-law’s dress without actually thinking about it. Neither woman is particularly happy with him at the moment, as you might imagine. :p Emily’s now demanding to see what “Little Miss Living” has that she hasn’t got (beyond a beating heart and working lungs) – but it seems Nanny’s just recognized Victor’s fiancee’s last name. . .
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – another night with just GrayStillPlays, and “I literally buried the world in debt,” aka Gray plays Estate Agent Simulator! This is a game where you are MEANT to do things like buy houses from people, clean them up, fill them with good furniture, rent them at fair prices, and slowly but surely build up your money until you are rich! In the jankiest way possible, as this is one of those simulator games made with a handful of free Unity assets and two pieces of string, but still – that is the correct way to play the game.
The Gray way to play the game, by contrast, involves immediately going to the casino, heading to the “rulet” table, and watching the ball spin until you know how the random number generator behind it works and can earn like two million dollars without even trying; buying every expensive car in the car store and then using the “teleport to nearest place” feature to stack them on top of each other and abuse physics; buying a house and cleaning it up while also making sure to spray passersby with insecticide right in the face; going to the furniture store, buying all the expensive computers, and laughing your ass off as you realize they’re just piled up right outside the store in a big hill; buying MORE computers after parking your truck in the spawn space, taking them over to another house you’ve just bought, and flinging them inside with the car’s nitro function; arranging them all in front of the stairs until you can rent the house for $25,000 a day or something; renting out the house to a random man off the street and his friend without a shirt; and then burying the house and your truck in a mountain of beds to celebrate. XD All while trying to figure out what was going on with the residents as they all walked in place half-melded with each other or wandered around the neighborhood in their underwear. XD Seriously, this was an absolute delight, if only because Gray was clearly having such a great time with this janky piece of shit. The sheer JOY in his voice when he was able to climb out of, then atop, Bed Mountain was beautiful. I am all for him playing even more horrible simulators if this is what results.
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Kind of N/A today – Victor Luvs Alice is set through tomorrow queue-wise, and there’s not much happening on Valice Multiverse – though my friend Marie, who has been dealing with some personal life stuff, left a message saying she’s going to be on tomorrow, so that’s something to look forward to/prepare for! So yeah – looks like we’re saving any updates on the tumblr front for tomorrow!
*shrug* Honestly, I haven't had the best concentration tonight, so probably for the best not much was happening on tumblr. :p And now I should probably try to head to bed -- tomorrow is supposed to be another stormy day, lovely. AND I have to clean. And do the big laundry pile with my blankets. *grumble* Also gonna try and get in some Sims 4 (either building or doing New Year's resolution stuff with my Chill Save Valicer trio), keep up with GrayStillPlays and hopefully the other OXBox video released this week, and edit some more "Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland." And answer Moose's latest messages. *nod* Hopefully all doable! Night all!
