Excitement at Work, and More Sims

crossover_chick-M: Excitement? Vic, you work at a drycleaners.-
-D: Not an atmosphere conducive to excitement.-
Oh, you'd be surprised. 10 minutes before I was gonna leave, this heavy woman (about 300 pounds) pulls up to give us her drycleaning. She managed to step in a little ditch we have in our driveway and fall.
-D: O.o Great Scott.-
I freaked out, grabbed Bonnie, and raced outside to see how she was. Turns out she'd had nine knee surgeries, meaning she couldn't kneel and thus couldn't get up. And none of us girls could lift her, either. I certainly couldn't. The woman tried to call her husband while Bonnie collected the rest of the girls.
Ironically enough, some nurses happened to be passing by -- they convinced the woman to let us call rescue (the woman just wanted to call her husband). So Bonnie did that, and they eventually came -- took three of them to get the woman back on her feet. She said she didn't want to go to the hospital and signed a waiver to that effect. Then eventually her husband came, and they left. I was freaking out when it happened -- I didn't know if she had seriously hurt herself or what. And being the only one to have seen her fall, I had to stay an extra 10 minutes until she left in case anyone wanted a statement or anything like that.
-VD: Great Scott, I can see what you mean. *hugs*-
Thanks. What was really weird was that people were still pulling in to get their drycleaning done. I mean, I know life goes on and all that, but still -- it seemed strange.
-VD2: I hesitate to ask what happened to her drycleaning.-
Heh, we took it while we waited for the ambulance. Turns out she's a regular. *shakes head* Nice way to end my day there, huh?
In Sims world, however, everything was nice and squeaky clean. I played the Mortes to even them up to the Von Brauns. They had a pretty good time of it. One of their sinks did break, though, forcing John to fix it:
John also met a new friend through the campus directory, Kitty S. She's a sort-of punkish black Sim that has wandered by the Von Braun house once or twice. I'm actively on the lookout for new pledges for the Greek House -- I don't want it to die once John and Arazel graduate. Particularly because I want Marty to join in the future.

Anyway, after playing around with a bass I had temporarily "rented" for them, the Mortes had Sabastian over. John got him to do his assignment for him, and later they all studied together:
Sabastian eventually became a full Greek member, allowing me to dismiss him from the house. The Mortes got some sleep, then I rented them a piano since their wants indicated they wanted one. Arazel headed off to class, and John had Kitty over to make friends:
Arazel came home and invited her friend Nick the Mascot over for some interactions as well -- I think Nick may be her future husband, so I want to get them close. Once they were gone, I had John and Arazel call Emily and Emmett Von Braun to keep relationships high. I didn't feel the need to call Holly, as Holly calls them every day. Nick came over again to do his Mascot schtick, then it was time for bed. John called Kitty in the morning, then he and Arazel took their finals. A+s as usual -- they also got a memory of bringing in 5000 simoleons from their grants:
I gave them a slight house upgrade -- specifically, better beds, and a computer and computer desk. I also had them head to a community lot to stock up on groceries -- can't live on pizza alone, you know.
-J: I dunno, I think Marty would be up for trying.-
-M: Oh yeah.-
Hehehe. I also played Donald for a bit -- as usual, using the clock to hurry him through his semesters. He's a last-semester senior now. I think I might have him use the final days to build skills so I can quickly get him to the top of the Natural Science Career Track.
-OD: And get the cowplant.-

Okay, now I gotta go to bed.
