Hopefully The Heat Hath Broken

crossover_chickWe had some rain and a little bit of thunder here this evening during Game Night (Yahtzee, for the curious -- Mom and Dad kicked my butt repeatedly, with Mom getting TWO yahtzees in the last game), so hopefully that's done some work in clearing out the humidity, at least. And we're supposed to get more rain tomorrow and Sunday, so that should do something too. Even if it makes for kind of an icky weekend. *shrug* What are you gonna do? Anyway, here's the to-do list for the day --
Work – Let me put it this way – it was so dead in the office today, my supervisor let us just go home an hour early. Seriously – no phone calls, almost no mail, and pretty much no roster maintenance. Once I was done with the GL and the failed credit card reports, I basically had nothing to do but look up random names in online obituaries and do various puzzle pages I took out of the newspapers. It was a freaking relief to be told that we could leave early if we wanted! Now if only they’d officially announce that half-day Fridays were back on for the summer...
And yes, again, no beanbags – while it wasn’t QUITE as hot as it was yesterday, it was still hot enough, and EXTREMELY humid. And also the dark clouds from potential thunderstorms were moving in while I was driving home, so…yeah. And given the weekend forecast...next week maybe!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – last night on the bike this week, last night with the GrayStillPlays compilation “6 Dangerous Experiments You Should NEVER Try…” Pedaled my way through the end of the Algodoo section (misspelled it slightly yesterday, but fortunately it was written on one of the cars Gray wrecked today), watching Gray complete the world’s toughest and longest dirt bike course; run from the police (temporarily); take a bunch of children to the school at the bottom of the Pit Of Despair; complete an off-road course; and feed people various things (including more Mentos and Coke; the world’s most rubbery sausage; a full meal of off-brand chocolate puff cereal, fries, a burger, and a whole bowl; and OTHER HUMAN BEINGS). Good times! XD And now I am slightly more caught up on my GrayStillPlays compilations! Good thing too, because next week is the “GTA V Chaos Mod Boards” compilation... :D
2. Continue editing “Start At The Beginning...Sort Of”: Check – got another solid chunk done tonight, with Victor, Alice, and Smiler peering in through the windows of the (very depressing) Everglot Manor to see if they could spot the wedding reception happening anywhere – and they did, with Emily spotting her bastard fiance Barkis sitting at the head table in the main hall, next to a shell-shocked Victoria. Fortunately, I ended this particular chunk with Emily preparing to head inside and cause a bit of trouble...we’ll see where that goes tomorrow!
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – just GrayStillPlays today, with “Cars vs. dangerous situations in BeamNG Drive!” Yes, today Gray staged a bunch of extremely dangerous and extremely stupid car crashes in Beam.NG Drive for our viewing pleasure, including a crash test dummy passing another on a desert road, only to ramp off a random mound of dirt and smash into the side of a Tasti-Cola truck and end up dangling by its foot from the mangled frame; a dummy in a fancy sports car barreling through an intersection and getting his car turned into a convertible by a logging truck that refused to yield; a cop following a logging truck with loose logs getting a log directly to the face through the windshield; an accidental gem where Gray messed up having a jeep trying to overtake the log from another road and ended up making it spin on its side so fast the dummy inside got yeeted out faster than the speed of light; a street race that ended with one of the contestants smashing into a random car, and the others smashing into an AMERICA bus (complete with cape and rockets); a rocket-powered car coming up on the street race and ruining everyone’s day; and an unfortunate family of four ending up in Gray’s Turbo-Boosted Rock Slide and getting absolutely fucking FLATTENED. XD Ah, it’s nice to see him get his chance to do the torturing again. He comes up with such creative ways to wreck digital people. XD
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check and check again –
Victor Luvs Alice – Got my Song Saturday post into the queue, and remembered to set the queue speed to two posts per day so both it and Nebby’s birthday fic will post tomorrow, as intended. :) I also got all my screenshots sorted for the Oasis Springs Food Sale update – a full freaking ninety. O.o I tried to figure out how I wanted to divide them up this evening, but couldn’t come to a satisfactory conclusion – I’ll have to puzzle it out tomorrow morning!
Valice Multiverse – Nothing happening over here, so I found some cute Corpse Bride fanart to go with the multiple Alices fanart I found the other day and stuck both of those in the queue. *nods* So that’s all right then.
Other: Dedicated most of my extra free time this afternoon to answering the two remaining messages from Moose, so I’m all caught up there, hooray.
Yeah, not bad -- especially with getting the extra hour this afternoon to clear up some stuff. And tomorrow is a nice, non-cleaning Saturday! Plans include getting my Chill Valicer Save update for the Oasis Springs Food Sale sorted (at least with pictures and main text); playing some Sims 4 and getting back to the Chill Valicer Save (either to upgrade the house or send the trio to sell some more stuff at their store); editing some more "Start At The Beginning...Sort Of" (gotta cause some ghost chaos here); and getting the final video out of my Watch Later along with keeping up with GrayStillPlays (if he posts this Saturday, of course). Hopefully all achievable goals -- we shall see. Night all!
