Muggy But Decent Wednesday

Like, it's that really annoying muggy where it's not actually that hot, just sticky, so it's hard to find a happy medium (AC can be too cold, but no AC means you get all sweaty) -- but if that's my biggest complaint for the day, I have to say it was a pretty good day. And I got a good amount done --
Work – Slightly busier day, but not by much – got through a couple of credit card calls, a handful of reversals, some roster maintenance stuff, and some obituaries. And the end of a crossword puzzle. :p We’ll see how tomorrow goes!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike, pedaling my way through –
A) The end of the GrayStillPlays compilation “I spent two hours clicking so you don't have to!” Featuring, of course, more Cookie Clicker (with Gray opening up his first cookie alchemy labs and portals to cookie dimensions, planting some lovely wheat in his little garden, and playing the baking stock market and making a killing on sugar. Oh, and buying enough buildings that he got raspberry milk, aka the Blood of the Innocent). Solid stuff, even if it did make me crave cookies. XD Good thing there’s biscotti in the house!
B) The entirety of “How To Run A Retail Business | The Sims 4 Guide” by Petey Plays It! A very short (four minutes) guide on the basics of how to set up and run your own Get To Work retail business (including where to find your stats, how to set things for sale, and how to get those sales), perfect for filling in the few minutes I had left over for my cool-down.
*nods* Nice. Tomorrow we return to James Turner and the Every Life Stage Challenge! I am looking forward to it. :D
2. Continue editing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland” Chapter Three: Check – Alice has found her way to Fat Larry (after a brief moment of looking at Confession and going, “Ugh, reminds me of the Infernal Train...why did I picture that train as a bunch of Gothic cathedrals strung together??”) and is already deeply amused by this man basically being the human embodiment of blaxploitation. :p And who seems to have an opportunity for her...we’ll get into THAT particular sidequest next week! First, though, more Valicer In The Dark!
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – just GrayStillPlays tonight, with “Every 30 seconds, my car gets taller!” Another GTA V torture board, this one featured Gray having to complete a patented Alex & Friends Doom Course, only every time he respawned, his car got taller – starting with the RC car and getting incrementally taller and taller until he got a custom job that was literally just like thirty supercars stacked on top of each other. Every specific challenge had a 30-second time limit, and if Gray didn’t make it to the end or fell off, to the next-tallest car he went! The challenges were –
I. Downward Growing Bumpy Stairs – A classic Alex challenge, this featured Gray having to get down a bunch of LEGO-themed stairs as the bumps got bigger and bigger and the stairs themselves got chonkier and chonkier. Gray lost SO MANY cars to just this challenge alone, mostly because the smallest cars didn’t have the ground clearance or suspension to make it over the bumps. Gray found a couple of cars where he could climb back up and reset the timer to try again (notably the Arena bug, which was down its hood and both doors by the time Gray forced it past the finish line), but mostly, they just got yeeted off and he had to try the next car in the line. (Oh, and just so everyone knows, our favorite failcar, the Sherp, actually completed this challenge without a problem despite having a top speed of “no.” XD It didn’t make it past the OTHERS, but it completed this one!)
II. Thunder Breathing Katanas – A course full of ninety-degree angles where Gray had to avoid being hit by descending giant electric katanas as he snaked his way around, and then avoid the final indignity of being hit by one of Alex’s Patented Weebmills ™ (except when he was TRYING to get hit in order to get over the wall – never stuck the landing, though). Not the most difficult challenge, perhaps, but add in that time limit, and – yeah. Though a few cars managed to get through it, including what I believe was some sort of modified hearse? It was covered in Ps & Qs, but it looked like a modified hearse. *shrug* Whatever works!
III. Balls To The Wall – A relatively simple tightrope where Gray just had to go across and avoid getting smacked off by the balls being flung in his direction by the yeeters to his right – and then deal with the one spinny bit at the end, where he had to hop on the rotating piece of road and carefully ride it to the end and a checkpoint. The balls gave him almost no trouble, but the end bit – oh, getting the timing right to ride that spinny part really hurt. Though, of course, my beloved Wastelander did the job, no problem. :)
IV. The Tallest Tightrope – The final challenge, where Gray had to navigate a tightrope made of Minecraft diamond, complete with more ninety-degree turns and the occasional block sticking up out of the path. However, the fun part about this one wasn’t the time limit –
It was where Alex had put the end circle. Specifically, he’d put it WAAAY up over the top – and HADN’T PROVIDED A RAMP. Meaning Gray HAD to cycle through the few remaining tall cars until he got the 30-stacked-supercars monstrosity (which was the only one that could REACH the win circle), and then pilot that around the tightrope. Which was a ballache and a half, because Alex had him driving the TOP car. XD Oh, it was delightfully painful. Poor Gray! We demand he go through so much for our entertainment.
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check enough – I spent MOST of my night getting Moose’s latest set of messages answered, but I did take a moment to go through my “#song saturday” tag on Victor Luvs Alice and stumble across “Light Up The Sky” by The Afters – after a relisten, I decided “yeah, I can turn this into something Valicer” and stuck it in the queue. Needs a proper write-up and tags, but I can do that tomorrow! (Oh, and I edited that post about Valicer In The Dark stories going up tomorrow with a couple of ideas I nearly forgot about. Because that thing really need to be longer. :p)
*nods* All good stuff! But it's good stuff that's kept me up later than it should have, so I shall be off now. :p Night all!
