The 4th of July is Coming

I know this because of --
-D: The calendar.-
And the fact that my boss, the owner of the drycleaners, bought a box of cheap, patriotic toys (stars and stripes on everything) and directed us to offer them to kids. :p I ended up taking a pen for myself (never can have too many pens) and a pinwheel for my 3-year-old cousin.
-J: *smile* That's sweet of you.-
Heh. Anyway, it was pretty busy today -- we got a lot of rush orders, and a lot of chorus gowns from my old high school. I'm pretty sure graduation ceremonies were tonight, so the kids needed their stuff cleaned before they turned it back in. Glad its the weekend -- I need the two days to goof off. I'm just worried about them being oppresively hot -- supposed to get up into the 90s and such for next week.
-M,M2,VM,VuM: WOOO!-
Shaddup you Californians. Even you think 90 is hot.
-VD: It really depends. Yes, 90 is still hot to us. It's just often on the lower end of hot. We've had our share of 100 degree and over days in Hill Valley in the summer.-
-VD2: Worse in my world -- pollution keeps heat in.-
-VJ: Ugh, yeah. And smells like shit to boot.-
-VM: I hate to say it, but I was glad to be in Switzerland for the summer. The only time I had to come home was Christmas, and that was because it was sort of Biff's gift to Mom.-
Ugh, I see. *hugs* What about you, DocWolf?
anonymoose_au and I gave you a Hill Valley full of morphs (Marty as a fox, naturally, George as a turtle, Jennifer and Lorraine as cats), what would they do?
-DW: Same as me -- sleep until it was cooler. Preferrably near some sort of public waterhole so we could keep ourselves hydrated.-
Mom and Dad just bought two cases of Poland Springs, so you should be good. I wouldn't let you get all dried out.
-MDC: *evilcackle*-
That's not nice. You have fur too, you know. AND you wear that coat. I'm sure you'll be roasting tomorrow.
-DW: Mmmmm, roasted MDC-
-MDC: *sticks out tongue at*-
Behave you two!
On the Sims related front, I played the Von Nostrand family today -- Kat's finally caught up with her homework, and I got her dad to teach her How to Study so she'll be able to do her assignments more quickly. I also really have to get her into private school -- the needs drag with public and her job is almost too much to keep on top off.
I also had her invite Mark Emmett Mathews over -- they became best friends, then as Jane came home, I had Kat charm Mark. This resulted in a nice little crush, so I had Kat get her first kiss with Mark (if you'll remember, Mark's first kiss was already with Emily Von Braun -- Kat will be his second and final girl).
Oh, and if you can see Jane and are wondering what the heck her facial expressions are all about -- turns out parent Sims can be embarrassed by their kids' Public Displays of Affection as well.
-M: *snrrrk*-
After playing them, I decided it was high time I designed the Twin Oaks Park Parkers. Now, if you'll remember, since this is a revised version of the Hill Valley world, Jennifer's mother is still alive. So take a gander at Robert, Jane, and Jennifer:
-J2: *laugh* Mom looks like a kid herself.-
I know! And I was surprised by how good she looked in glasses, I stuck those on her as a joke. Too bad there's no "librarian" job in Sims, she'd fit right in.
-VuM: You're a cute toddler, Jennifer.-
-AJ: *giggle* So are you. When do we get to move in?-
I'll play the Von Brauns through their final semester. Then, while they party during their last days on campus, I'll move the McFlys and Parkers onto their respective lots and play for a day to get them settled. Then I'll move in Doc and Holly (not sure where Emily will go, I'm tempted to move her back home and use her grandparents for free babysitting while they live), and you can all get to know each other.
-VD2: *grin* I'm reminded of my experience with Baby Marty.-
LOL, yeah, I admit it, I want a pick of Doc cuddling a toddler Marty.
Anyway, gotta write before I pass out. Also, dunno when I'll be on tomorrow -- Mom and Dad were kind enough to rent me "Lemony Snicket," so I'll be checking out various DVD features. :D Nighten.
