Nothing particularly spectacular, but nothing horrible either --

Work – Well, no jets flying overhead and scaring the life out of me today, but my coworkers were chatting about politics behind me for a chunk of the afternoon, so… *waggles hand* But on the plus side, it was one of their birthdays today, so we got mini-cupcakes. Actual work portion of the day was just more roster maintenance stuff, updating parish affiliations and adding new people and getting rid of dead ones. *shrug* I don’t expect the rest of the week to be much different!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, another night with the GrayStillPlays compilation “100 Ways to Destroy the Planet!” I finished off Gray’s experiments with adding carbon dioxide to the earth in Universe Sandbox 2 (Earth went from a gas giant to a big old star which eventually went supernova when Gray got the sun to crash into it – he then tried the experiment with SULFUR dioxide, which froze the Earth and turned it into a black hole instead); got through him hacking Solar Smash so he could have a meteorite “Thanos Snap” the Earth (by which I mean have it slooowly vaporize the planet instead of just causing it to pop out of existence – took quite a bit of fiddling and a side trip to torment Saturn, but he did get there!); and ALMOST completed the “keep adding rings to Earth” experiment in US2 (which saw the Earth get rapidly colder as its rings started forming like their own little spinning galaxy of rock around it). Just got ten minutes of that left, with Gray about to disrupt the pathways of Earth’s fellow planets – we’ll finish that off tomorrow and move onto the next video!

2. Continue editing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – turns out the mystery woman that Alice encountered at the end of yesterday’s editing session was none other than Patty, the problematic ghoul that Skelter asked Alice to take care of. Who was her usual annoying self as she openly gabbed about knowing everyone in the “Kindred club” and asked Alice if she knew anything about Kent. Alice managed to get her to agree to talk in the ladies’ room for a modicum of privacy, and has dropped the bombshell that the Anarchs are eager to see her silenced by any means possible – which is now provoking a similar outburst from Patty about how she doesn’t believe Alice and how she needs to find Kent. We’ll continue with that tomorrow – hopefully extended exposure to Patty’s personality will not make Alice rethink wanting to spare the woman if she can! XD

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check, with another two for Tuesday –

A) First, we had Josh Way and “RAW TAKE: Blink Twice Review!” Said review was basically “I was really enjoying myself in the first hour or so, since the movie seemed to be taking its time and letting us get to know the characters before it went anywhere – and then the plot kicked in and it all fell to pieces.” This is supposed to be some sort of scary suspense thriller or horror movie about some caterers whisked away to a private island by a billionaire, but Josh felt like the big reveal of what was going on was far too convoluted and confusing, and that it all ran on cartoon logic, which would have been fine if it had been a cartoon, but… Basically, this is a movie that COULD have been well done, but was let down by its writing in the second half. But hey, if you think you’re cool with that, you do you. :p

B) And second, we had GrayStillPlays and “When you dodge 4,896,012 arrows,” aka Gray plays Physics Stick Simulator (or Stickman Dismounting if you believe his video description). As you might have guessed by the name, this was one of those games where you select a stick person with a Non-Copyright-Infringing Name (such as “Lubby,” or “Bugman,” or “Thur”), put them on a mode of transport if you so choose (such as a motorcycle, or a bus, or Santa’s Sleigh, or a bed), and then launch them into various boards full of blades, bouncy balls, exploding arrows, laser arrows, and just generalized agony, with the goal being to score as many points as possible from their anguish. And this particular game was really good as it was JUST janky enough that it was very easy to get the figures caught in places where they picked up loads and loads of points. Plus there were some boards that just seemed MADE for getting stick figures caught in infinite loops of pain – Gray got over a million points in “Meat Crusher 2” by juggling Thur in the spinning sawblades, and almost two million in “Meat Crusher 3” with Bugman before the game FORCED him to quit out of the level. While leaving poor Dollar Store Peter Parker to suffer for eternity behind the end screen. XD A delightful return to stick agony!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check and check for Twosday –

Victor Luvs Alice – Got some queuing and some reblogging done over here –

A) Put the Ministry of Joy build post and the VITD “Traumas” post into my queue for Wednesday and Thursday respectively

B) Reblogged my friend Nebby’s latest sketches of Princess Kiya and Dan from the Medievil games (being snarky at each other because Nebby was watching Anastasia and was reminded of how her original plan for their dynamic in her fic was for them to be more “rivals to lovers” than “kindred spirits”) and SatiricalDemon’s post about the ending song to a horror game he found on YouTube which actually quite slaps (despite it being a song from the villains about how their evil pipes will always win). *shrug* Felt I should (especially since I did enjoy the song and the sketches)

Valice Multiverse – Nothing happening over here, so I dropped my two VITD “Special Abilities” posts (for Victor, Alice, and Smiler individually and in a group) into the queue, just to have something to put in it. *shrug* Better than nothing!

Yeah, as you can see, pretty typical day. And now I should go off to bed and prepare for a hopefully-typical Wednesday. *nods* Night all!
