Worn Out Wednesday

crossover_chickExtra tired tonight -- the reason why is in the to-do list below --
Work – Work itself was about the same as yesterday – mostly roster maintenance while trying to ignore my coworkers yapping (never an easy feat). However, while my commute in was all right, my commute home was hellish. Mostly because my usual route was so backed up that I had to cut through the city, which was also extremely trafficky and horrible. Took me forty-five minutes to get home when it normally takes me about fifteen to twenty. *sigh* It’s not the WORST commute I’ve ever had, but after a loooong spell of not having to brave the roads of Providence, it was not fun. I am SO hoping that the scene doesn’t repeat itself tomorrow...
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike again, pedaling my way through the following –
A) The end of the GrayStillPlays compilation “100 Ways to Destroy the Planet,” which saw me finish off the “keep adding rings to Earth” experiment in Universe Sandbox 2! Conclusion: If you add enough rings to Earth, they will end up going straight to the Sun and increasing its mass until it turns into a black hole and basically eats the entire Milky Way galaxy. Good to know! XD So that’s another compilation down, yay~
B) The beginning of “I have bested the Every Life Stage Challenge! - Part 5” by James Turner! Yes, we’re back to “Semaj has ALL THE CHILDREN” shenanigans – though, actually, as per the title, things are going pretty well for Semaj and his family right now! (Mostly because they have that magic needs-boosting crystal on hand to keep them all in decent moods, but still. XD) In the first twenty minutes, we’ve already seen –
I. James complete the twins’ rooms (Sunny getting an aggressively blue island-themed room, and Vivienne getting a pink room with an industrial feature wall and some fake graffiti)
II. Krystoff just smash out his Creativity skill (building a school project James got him – think it was the Castle one – drawing pictures, and making friendship bracelets, which REALLY makes it go up fast) – James also got him a fun science table so he could get Mental skill up next
III. Pablo just rocket through most of his toddler skills (using the new toddler slide to get his Movement up; playing in the play tent for Imagination; babbling to his big teddy bear for Communication; and watching his various family members for Thinking – he’s just gotta get his Potty skill sorted and he is SET)
IV. And the twins do really well with getting all their milestones (they have two in everything except Fine Motor thanks to bubble baths and tummy times – now it’s just a waiting game to see what they pick up while living on their little play mats XD)
Hell, even newborn Camilo hasn’t given Semaj any problems yet – he is a quiet, calm baby! Though I guess any SINGLE baby is quiet and calm once you’ve lived through twins...anyway, looking forward to seeing if things get any more chaotic tomorrow! After all, the gang still has to go to a park together...
2. Continue editing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – Alice has managed to get it through a panicking Patty’s head that nobody actually knows where Kent is, and they’re all so sick of her asking that they’re willing to see her murdered for her Masquerade-threatening ways. Leading to Patty breaking down because she kind of knew that the rest of the Anarchs didn’t think much of her, but it was easier to take when Kent was there, and she misses him, and she thought he loved her… Anyway, Alice has convinced her to leave for San Diego as soon as humanly possible, and left her in the bathroom to clean herself up. Next time, it’s over to the bar to meet Venus! Well, after Alice worries some more about the position she’s left Victor in, because Patty freaking out over losing her blood fix has her concerned about her own accidental ghoul...
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – just GrayStillPlays again today, with “GTA 5, but I control the Chaos!” Yes, in THIS particular “Cross the map while dealing with Alex’s special brand of chaos” video, GRAY was the one who had control over the chaos – sort of. XD The gist of the challenge was that Gray had to cross the map, going from checkpoint to checkpoint – and at each checkpoint, he was given one of two script circle options, each of which would give him three temporary chaos abilities to help him in his quest to cross the map. However, all the while, the “anti-chaos” timer would be running, to spawn things to make Gray’s life that much harder. Gray had to handle Alex’s usual nonsense while also figuring out the best ways to use his own abilities – if such a thing existed.
And oh man, did that make for a good video. XD Because trust me, having his own chaos abilities did NOT make Gray’s time running across Los Santos any easier! Deadeye and Aimbot powers could not save him from the people on the beach who all had beef! “Abusing pixel people” was fun to clear out the peds, but did not help him make it to the top of the building under construction! And getting a Midas touch sure as HELL did not help him against explosive zombies! XD Now, granted, some of the chaos effects were useful – Gray made VERY good use of having a portal gun, being able to spawn his own blimp, and being able to spawn his own blimp to teleport to a specific building by crashing into it (it’s a weird speedrun strat to get into a specific cutscene fast). And come on, it’s always fun to just be able to shoot cars out of your gun, or play around with the super jump, or summon black holes. But honestly, I think the thing that ended up helping Gray the most was his humble parachute – mostly because, in a few key spots, he could use it to fly over all the nonsense. XD Oh man, that was a lot of fun – can recommend as a method to cheer yourself up!
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: No check – I only had Victor Luvs Alice today, but – well, after catching up on my dash, I hit a major mental block about what I wanted to put in the queue for Friday. I just – I have no ideas. Mostly because I’m back in that frame of mind where it feels like – nobody actually cares what I put up there. So it doesn’t feel worth it to try. *sigh* Maybe I’ll feel better tomorrow.
And speaking of tomorrow, I should probably get my ass to bed. Still got two days to go in this week! Which feels VERY unfair after that shit with the traffic earlier. *sigh* Night all.
