Doing a Necon Contest

Write a story in 50 words or less. Winner gets a bag of goodies from Necon 25.
-D: Interesting. Have you written your story?-
Yup, and signed up with ezboards so I could post it. Still waiting on my membership to the Necon board so I can put it up, though. Hopefully it won't be long -- the contest ends midnight September 1st (although I'm not sure if that means 12:01 A. M. September 1st, or 11:59 P. M. September 1st). I really want to give my story a chance. I also plan to put it up on my site once I submit it.
-M: That'll be interesting, to see a 50-word story.-
Well, to tell the truth, I want to put my original 85-word one up. I like that one better. That's for later, though.
-VD: So you're finally getting into writing original fiction?-
Yeah, somewhat. I wrote an original story too, but that needs some polishing. I'll never give up BTTF Fiction, though. I like crafting stories for you guys.
-VD2: *grin* Glad to hear it.-
Plus I have enough stories planned out to last me a few years. :p Honestly, the ideas will not leave me alone.

Doing some website work. I've added "A Doc and Marty Christmas," "The Changing Times," and "Back to the Future Part III 1/2" to the other page, and "For Love or Marty" and "True Hero" to trilogy. I'm going to be working on Chapter 11 of "World of Darkness" right now. I've made a checklist of all the stories I need to get on the site. To tell the truth, I need a few -- one for the site, one that tells me what I need to type up, and one that tells me which ones I need to write.
-D: You sound busy.-
Only in a writing sense. In a physical sense I'm relaxing and enjoying the end of summer. Luckily I also enjoy doing checklists. I'm weird like that.
-VD: Summer's going to end, you know. And then you'll be busy.-
Precisely why I want to get some of this stuff out of the way before the move and having to find a college and a job. I still have about a week left -- I need to get in some serious laziness.
-VD: Would that include putting up more of "Judgement Day?"-
-VD2: Or "World of Light?"-
"Judgement Day" is more likely, I need to send more chapters of "World of Light" out for a review. I should do that today or tomorrow.
-VD+VD2: *get ready to poke*-
I also need to finish the Sims album. I'll grab some extra butter for VampDoc so I can show the backfire. Hope you don't mind being attacked by a stray, VampDoc.
-VD: *puzzled* What?-
The backfire for A Friend Indeed is that you get attacked by a dog, or a cat will hide from you. I think a dog attack would be more noticable.
-VD: *a little sarcastically* Lovely.-
Your character may get a free shot of vampblood for doing it. I reward my Simmies.
-VD: *grin* As long as I get something out of it.-
-VD2: Right.-

-M: *jaw drops open*-
-J: Wow! He got this today?-
Yup. Thanks to Price of Fame, he has enough fame to win the big awards now. Simmies are given on how much fame you have, SimChoices on how many Anybody friends you have.
-M: Guess I'm not going to get a SimChoice anytime soon.-
It's just as well, as when you move you'll lose the Simmy.
-M: *pout*-
You can always win another one. You just need to keep your fame up there. Which is more than I can say for Jennifer.
-J: What did I do, mess up another modeling assignment?-
Nope. This is what happened: I used up the last cast of PoF on you. That made you a celebrity. You stayed home for a while tending to other things. I guess you were just on the brink of celebrity, so staying home for too long caused you to lose a star level. Down to Talk of the Town. I figured, okay, that's legitimate, she didn't exactly work hard for it. I promptly send her down to do a few modeling things. She does a swim model, gets it perfect on the second try. She gains fame.
She loses a star level.
-J: WHAT?! Wait a minute, I just gained fame!-
My thoughts exactly! I had you do a winterwear model, then I sent you home and gave you back your levels via the magic mirror! The first one I could take, but randomly bumping her down another after a successful model?!
-M: That's not fair at all.-
Precisely. Although now I'm worried that it might be like VioletKitty's "fourth cast." She did PoF with her characters, and one that did the fourth cast got a raw deal and couldn't gain fame. If that happens, Jennifer, you're going to have to switch jobs.
-J: Too bad. Oh well, I guess I got my 15 minutes. I did get a Bronze Figure.-
That's right. And hopefully things won't work out like that.

My Necon story was submitted. Doing a story in 50 words or less is tough. I don't know if I'll win anything, but at least I got to do it.
