You're not going to believe this

We have MORE snow on the way. That's right, we have MORE snow coming.
-D: *curls into the fetal position*-
-M: *looks at him, then does same*-
Oh, it isn't that bad. Only a few inches.
-D: It's still snow. I'm not getting up.-
You're just going to lie there and give up.
-D: Actually, I'm trying to preserve heat.-
*pulls him to his feet and cuddles* This is the best way to preserve heat.
-VD: Does this mean you get another day off?-
Probably not, as the snow won't start falling heavily until the afternoon. That may mean my night class could get canceled, though.
-VD: I see. So it's a good thing your homework's done.-
Yup. Dad and I also got Mom's birthday presents. I hope she likes them.
-M2: Yeah, with Moms it can be hit or miss, huh?-
-VM: *tad bitterly* My Mom only liked my presents if they were bottles of liquor.-
-VD2: *hug* You can't choose your family.-
-M: What sort of stuff did you get your Moms, Docs?-
-D: Household equipment, generally. I once tried to build her a knitting machine.-
-VD: *nod* I remember that. It knitted a scarf in five minutes.-
-VD2: *grimace* Too bad the knitting needles flew out of it and impaled Emily's favorite doll.-

-D: I was 15, cut me a break.-
-VD2: We were not at our peak inventive strength.-
