Tired Tuesday

crossover_chickYeah, I haven't been sleeping great (stress plus, lately, what I suspect to be PMS), so I'm feeling pretty sleepy right about now -- gonna try and wrap it up quick so I can hit the sheets a bit earlier --
Work – Fortunately a reasonably quiet return to work today, with my coworkers not giving me any grief for staying home the previous day. Most of my day was spent looking over various QC files for billings and thank-yous, as it was that time of the month – got a big list of reversals I gotta get through tomorrow! But yeah, nothing particularly exciting – the most frustrating part of my day was getting home, thanks to a loooot of traffic holding up the main drag (I think people trying to get to polling stations to vote in the primaries). Hopefully tomorrow is much the same (well, except for the commute)!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike, back with the GrayStillPlays compilation “Horror games to keep you up at night!” I did indeed get to watch GrayStillPlays versus The Baby In Yellow – specifically, got through the Christmas DLC episode during my workout today (with Gray crashing the game by spawning too many hats and arms for his snowman, and giving the baby weird potions to turn him into a thicc boy and make him magnetic before trying to shove him in the oven with the turkey XD), and I just started a video of him playing the version of the game his friend Outwit modded for him (where he is having fun making the baby giant and tiny – and yes, shoving him in the oven again). We’ll be wrapping all this up tomorrow with more baby shenanigans and I believe Killer Planet shenanigans! Can’t wait.
2. Continue editing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland” Chapter 3: Check – took me a little longer than normal as I had to look some stuff up (namely what channel and show the newscaster in Bloodlines works for, and the Ash Rivers story he reports on), but I got Alice inside the penthouse suite, past the two guards watching TV, past the guard patrolling the halls, and up to Dima, guarding the door to Boris’s private rooms. And as he’s directly in front of the doors Alice needs to open, she’s decided to go for the direct approach and greet the guy un-Obfuscated. We’ll see how she talks her way in to see Boris tomorrow!
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – another two for Tuesday this week –
A) First up was Josh Way and “CRITERION CATCH UP: Bound (1996)!” A new little sub-series he’s doing, where he watches movies from his Criterion Collection that he hasn’t seen before (because Josh is someone who will buy movies on a whim). Bound just so happens to be the debut film of the Wachowskis (you know, the ladies behind The Matrix), and Josh’s thoughts could be summed up as “...okay, I was expecting a much simpler indie debut here, but this is a very fully-fleshed out movie with a bunch of their trademark camera angles and suchlike. Weird. But good!” XD Yeah, this is a crime drama about two ladies who meet and form a secret relationship while working for a bunch of gangsters, and while Josh thinks it’s maybe not as shocking as it could have been, even for its day (all the subversive lesbian stuff apparently happens in the first act, then it’s pretty much all crime drama), it was apparently still a very solid piece of cinema that he could recommend to anyone interested in that sort of thing. So yeah – if you can track it down, it’s apparently worth!
B) And second up was GrayStillPlays and “Taking fame to unrealistic extremes,” aka Gray plays more Happy Wheels! We started with a cheese-flavored bottle flip (where Gray managed to get a shoutout area on his first throw and then kept dying until he managed to get a bottle into the actual win XD), then – okay, no, every time I try to summarize EVERY board from a HW episode, it ends up a wall of text. Let’s just do the best ones – Mock Indiana Jones having a Rail Adventure (one that saw him explode multiple times in his minecart from the various G-forces inflicted on him until Gray found a slightly-cheaty way to access the winning platform); Pogo Guy taking on a watermelon jump (featuring both movable pyramids of watermelons and very much unmovable towers of watermelons); Segway Nixon having to counter both a guy trying to bury a cleaver in his head and a hobo stabbing him in the gut (took Gray a LOT of tries to beat the first guy – and then he just let the hobo stab him and went to the win with the sword in his intestines XD); Bike Dad and Tom Hardy taking on a short but VERY deadly bike course (featuring spike ceilings, cleaver butterflies, and a whirling circle of axes – Bike Dad made it to the end, Tom did not); Segway Nixon smashing some glass to escape a killer in record time (even Gray was like “wow, that was fast”); Bike Dad and Tom Hardy fighting a variety of aliens (including ones that exploded and ones that had magic, which generally resulted in things being thrown at the unfortunate pair); and the Dylan Snider board, featuring Segway Nixon having to throw a bottle into a cannon to kill “Unalive Andrew Tate” before stealing all of his stuff (I admit, not entirely sure what was going on here, but Gray did it in 69 seconds, so that was nice). *looks up* So still a wall of text, just a shorter one. But enjoyable nonetheless!
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check and check –
Victor Luvs Alice – Got my Tiny Town Lot post for Wednesday, a reblogged Blades In The Dark art post for Thursday (the one with the guy and all the ghosts that I snagged yesterday while filling up my drafts), and a final “here is my completed story from the beginning” link post for “Start At The Beginning...Sort Of” for Friday set up in the queue over here. Haven’t decided on Song Saturday yet, but I’ll figure out something!
Valice Multiverse – And the queue over here got a reblog of Satirical’s reply to Cuddlepile!Victor wanting Smiler to verify that Inscryption (the game Satirical just recommended as a follow-up to Cat Mario) isn’t a troll game (with Satirical saying that there’s two instances of trolling and that’s it, and Smiler backing him up before admitting that the game is FUCKED UP, but…); an anon ask talking about how “schadenfreude” is “the perfect blend of happiness and misery” (Forgotten Vows!Alice was like “been on both sides, can’t argue with you there”); and an ask from Toonsisters asking the Secundus!Victor if he’s met Willy Wonka, and if so, what is his opinion of the guy (Victor admitted to never meeting him in person, but saying anyone who makes candy that nice can’t be a TOTAL jerk). I also answered two replies from Toonsisters on Satirical’s thread – first one being her going “shit, Victor’s onto us,” with Victor responding “I can only take so much rage game;” and the second one being her going “well, why are you dating Alice then” and Victor going “because Alice makes me like myself, unlike Cat Mario.” XD So that was fun!
Other: Got a nice comment on “Start At The Beginning...Sort Of” from Satirical on AO3, so that made me feel good this morning. :)
