Five Things. . . )

Now don't get out the steam-powered poking stick, boys! I was productive today, honest!
-D: Oh really?-
Yup. I finished up chapter two in "BTTX-2: Time of the Spider," typed a page in "Boy Genius," did some serious editing (by that I mean almost totally rewriting one scene) in "V.D.," wrote the Buford Confrontation scene in "Dusky Past," and inked in my sketch of "Dingbots in Love." And I'm giving Chapter 8 of "Teen Doc" a look over right now.
-Docs: o.O-
-VD: You've preempted all of us. Except for DocWolf, but he doesn't have a specific fandom.-
-DW: I dunno, her rewriting bits of "V.D." supplied me with a good number of plot bunnies for it.-
-MDC: We need to threaten to poke you with a poking stick more often.-
-TD: I concur. The evidence seems to suggest that she works best under pressure.-
-D: But really, good job. I'm glad you had a productive Sunday.-
Yeah, me too.

[livejournal.com profile] revison_doc update -- Gypsy's made it to college, so I'm starting up the "Doc loves Gypsy" storyline. I'm also setting up the job change into the custom career.
-D: *blush* I really am sort of robbing the cradle with Gypsy, aren't I? Out of all of the girlfriends, she's the youngest.-
-VD2: She's in her 30s, the same as Clara.-
-D: Yes, but Clara was also from 1885. Gypsy is the only one to be born in the same time period that I was alive.-
-VD2: Good point.-
Hey, like Marty pointed out, SimYou hasn't really aged. You drink Elixer every three days, so you're permanently hovering around the 29-day mark.
-D: Still, it has to be a little awkward. I'm going to get hell from her parents, aren't I?-
Yeah, Marie isn't quite so nice in the story world.
-VD: Ack, the in-laws. I'm almost glad I couldn't meet Mysteria's.-
-VD2: Or Josephine's. *pause* Is it just me, or do our girls have the same tragic family pasts we do?-
You know, I just noticed that myself. Josie was disowned from her family when her husband committed suicide; Mysteria grew up in a Puritian family and was looked down upon for being a little strange and associating with strange people; Clara's family disowned her when she went to teach instead of get married; and Gypsy's had pressure on her to be Little Miss Perfect from her family for a while now.
-OD: So you're just as cruel to all the girls as you are to us.-
-TD: It's worse with my version of Clara -- if I remember what you said correctly, he gave her an identification NUMBER, not a name.-
Yup. And of course, we have to take into account that she's a construct too. . . . Perhaps that's one of the traits you boys like. The girl has be from a reasonably sad family life, and she has to like Jules Verne.
-D: Odd criteria.-
I dunno -- you guys are all happy, right?
*smiles and blushes all around*
I thought so. ^^
